Hunger Demons

(Also known as Hunger Child, as they normally appear as children)

Appearance: There are both make and female Hunger Demons. Females are much more common, as people are more likely to take pity on them.
Hunger Demons usually take the form of small children, from about 8 - 13 years of age. However, they have been known to change their form to appear older, although only female Hunger Demons will do this, as a older male is usually seen to be able to fend for himself, but a knights or people with a strong sense of chivalry will easily fall for a lost, pretty teenage girl.

Size: human size

Hunting Techniques: Hunger demons are, as their name implies, hungry. They are constantly searching for food. They mainly do this by finding and observing a long adventurer or traveler and then being 'found' by them. The traveler takes pity on the 'child' as they seem to be lost and appear to be slightly dirty or ragged. The demon will then ask for food. (If the traveler has none they will have observed this and found another). When their victim has run out of food (which might take days or 1 day, as they will follow their victim, asking for food not constantly, as that might arouse suspicion) they will wait until the victim is asleep, assume their true from (which is very similar to their child/teen form) and eat them. Whole and alive, of course.

Some hunger Demons will work with giant predators, the demon being 'found' by a merchant caravan or the like and being taken in. The demon will then wait until the caravan stops at night and cast a sleep spells any sentries before alerting the predator to the buffet, which they share.
Some spellcaster predators will summon Hunger Demons for this very purpose.

Powers: Hunger Demons have a limited shape-shifting ability, enough to allow then to appear younger or older. However, they will retain certain features no matter what their form, hair colour eye colour and general face and body shape remain constant.
Hunger demons also have some spellcasting ability, sleep spells; to put their victim or sentries to sleep
Weak confusion/coercion spells; to make their victim to give them more food.

Scary. Since I'm a nice guy, these are my natural enemies...

My first thought when I read this was "Lolicon bait"

Little surprised that they can shift from "needing a solitary person to fall asleep before they can eat them" to "eating multiple awake and armed guards". Seems a bit far of a jump. Have access to sleep magic, maybe?

Much as I'm partial to the idea of pedos getting what they deserve, I dunno, these guys just don't really stand out to me. Like, eating other creatres is one of Felarya's main points and practically everything does so, these guys just seem like another brick in the wall.

Hell needs more demons than just succubi. Extra demons are always welcome. And demons based on the seven deadly sins are classic. We now have gluttony and lust, and I have one for envy, so 4 to go.

Agreed, hell isn't populated purely by succubi.

Their reason for being demons stems from the inspiration for them. But I see you point, there is no really GOOD reason for them to be demons. But if not demons what would they be?
Their unnatural hunger, it's demonic; they can never have enough.
Demons are inclined to go after humans, nekos etc. Why? because they are demons. If the hunger demons weren't demons, they would just eat everything, strip every fruit bearing tree and bush.

Everything in 'Hunting Techniques' and 'Powers' applies to both male and female.

Also, I just noticed a double-standard: My Narez http://felarya.forumotion.com/new-ideas-f2/the-narez-rabbit-people-t1348.htm say, " It has been noted that they retain a cute, childlike face throughout their entire lifespan."

Sombody replied and said that made them "I like this idea! Giving them childlike faces is an interesting idea, really makes them stand out instead of just being nekos with long ears." So... If it's rabbits its cute, if it's demons its pedo?
