| Bejeweled Serpent Size: 55 ft Threat: Medium A reptilian creature with a long, serpentine shape, though they do possess limbs, many in fact. However small, they are numerous and exist as a series of claw-like graspers on the serpent's sides, and tip of the tail. The serpent swims down to the ocean floor and searches for glittering jewels, and grasps them with these. With these treasures in tow, it swims near the surface where the glittering attracts various seabirds, as well as some curious sentient creatures like humans. When a bejeweled serpent passes by a human vessel, some just can't resist reaching out to try to get their hands on a rare jem... Then the serpent rears up, knocks them overboard and devours them. However, if you can kill the creature you can salvage its collection of gems, making a relatively easy profit. Thought I'd give it my go on this undefined creature, went for a sea monster that behaved like a magpie somewhat. |

| Yes, it's a nice twist on using a name based on their behaviour, rather than physical trait. It's more subtle that way. |

| It could still work that it starts to place jewels into it's hide when they've been used, making them shinier over time and better able to attract prey. _________________ "Out yonder, under the shining vault, among men the saying goes: “Man, be thyself!” At home here with us, ’mid the tribe of the trolls, the saying goes: “Troll, to thyself be—enough!”"

Ack, didn't know you had something else in mind.

Thanks, pretty much what I intended.

I think you're right, it could be edited to say that the shiniest, most brilliant gems and jewels that they possess, they attach to their body, thus encrusting themselves with the most valuable, to better attract prey as you say. |

| Sounds pretty cool, if it does stick a few jewels on its body it would really be a sight to see. Is it based on the Rainbow Serpent myth, or was that just a coincidence? |
