| I wanted to suggest this sub-specie. You do have to consider the fact that there are giant cactuses in the real world, so why not giant cactus dryads in Felarya? Desert Dryad A bit taller than evergreen Dryads, they still cannot get as big as others, due to lack of water. They range from 75 to 110 feet tall. Their plant half is covered with thick, branch-like thorns. The flesh of the plant part is a dark green, with patches of tan. The human part has a few thorns sparsely spread out on their belly and knuckles. These thorns are the size of swords, and have sharp edges. As such, Desert Dryads that are friendly with humans (also known as the ones that have just had a feast) will give said humans some thorns, which are then fashioned into wicked blades. Their human skin is a dark tan colour. Their favourite hunting tactic is to drip water out of the thick thorns at their base. This draws many animals and people to them, all desperate for water. It then switches the water with a clear poison that makes the prey sleepy. As they sleep, the Dryads eat. So? Like this idea for a sub-specie? |

| I like it. The poisoned water tactic is sneaky, yet effective. I also like the idea of them giving sword needles to human friends (especially after a feast. lol) It's really cool. |

| This is definitely a great idea ^_^ It's not entirely an original one but you developped it further with this idea of water as a mean to catch preys. I definitely put it on my list for when I'll develop desert zones  |

| What type of cactus would it resemble? Saguaro? Prickly Pear? |

Saguaro cacti are tall and have long branches, with needles arranged in rows that follow the length of each part. Prickly pears are more of a series of flat oval shaped branches, with barbed needles lining the edge of each segment. I read somewhere that its surface is also abrasive, but the fruit is edible if the needles and outer layer are removed.
there's a host of other species I could have mentioned as well, but I don't know what their names are. |
I see maybe it can be a new specie with difference or simililarity of known species maybe.
