PostSubject: The Gift: A Concept in Development.   Tue Nov 03, 2009 10:35 pm

I was thinking back to a joke that Nickster 5 and I did while playing around with my new laptop's Webcam:

Yes, that is me as the creature.

I was thinking if it was a character in Felarya, and it would be this alienish orb-like being that would float around like some sort of telepath or interdimensional being.

Here's a drawing I did of it:

Basicly, I drew Crisis in there for the fun of it and for size comparasion,
although I did suggest a 70 foot height.

I have no ideas for personality or powers, or relations, but I thought this could be either very interesting, or very funny!

I mean, come on! Look at those eyes! Laughing

Thanks!^^

As for the Wise One, thats an interesting comparasion, but I think this character is unique enough to avoid any legal issues with that character.

I can't help but wonder how would "The Gift" fit in Felarya.

Would he work best as a villain? Comic relief? Some sort of wise being that would help those in need?

There's alot to be done with this guy!

The "Comic Relief" possiblities are abound here. One of the most unique character designs I've seen to date.

I think crisis summed up everyone's reaction to that thing.

It has potential, I like it.

Yeah, that makes it wider and higher than crisis is tall, but I didn't really get that impression from the drawing.
Assuming it levitates for moment, it'd have some trouble navigating the dense jungle, unless it just flew above it.

Two adventurers are wandering through felarya when they see the gift float by overhead.

Adventurer 1: Great Scott, what is that...thing?'

Adventurer 2: Oh that's just the great big scary floaty thing, pay it no mind.

It says in main post that he suggested a 70ft height. So I think we can take it to mean that the size comparison shown with crisis is the actual size.
