Seriously, Karbo.. you did what you had to do. You can't let someone call you names and say nasty things about and to you on your own website. Let it go and I rest assured you, you will attract a LOT of new contributors. Don't sweat it, man, Felarya's community will heal.

Shooting myself in the foot ? certainly. With this action, a certain number of great members will choose to leave.
I'm painfully aware of that and this has already begun....
But it's that or letting the community goes all the way down to hell, or shutting the forum alltogether.

those 3 were part of a group used to control the chat, and bullying people there.
Either for the fun of it, or because the victim is disagreeing with one of them.
When there is a newbie on the chat it's always the same :
the newbie is "tested" to see in which "camp" he is. If the newbie don't respond well, he is bashed until he leave. This happened many time.
Lately this was the turn of Elitecreature who was basically briefed about not seeing the wiki as cannon and seeing Fish and Rcs619 as mod, not Timing2 or Oldman.

This group has formed itself into a mini-pressure group of sort to push Felarya into the direction it wish it to go.
attacking people who don't see things their way.
I gave many warnings, far more than any admin would have.
They got all ignored and sometimes ridiculed...

As for Gregole, there was first this serie of incendiary and violent notes I got from him ( he will says "tactful criticism" ), his repeated attacks against some of my friends, the direction he wants to see Felarya take as if he was in charge of the universe, and of course the Felarya bashing post.
At this time he was at one hair's lenght of a ban. I don't take lighty being insulted on my own forums. The things that avoided that is that I was about to leave for China and I didn't wanted to leave a huge mess behind me.

When I came back I wanted to makes things clear with this Felarya property thread, and advise Gregole to keep a low profile because my patience with him was at an absolute zero.
It changed nothing, and those last days the rift has erupted for all to see. But it was there for a while already.

So now here we are.

I honestly don't understand where most of that post is coming from. There is no "power block trying to push Felarya in the direction they want it to go", just people who helped build Felarya trying to make it as good a world as possible.

Sure, Casey, and Terra, and Jess, and Lu can be a bit harsh, but its because they truely care about the world. Well...Lu is a bit immature, and she even admits she goes too far sometimes.

As for de-modding fish, I think you were dead wrong there. He was a good mod, and he did more than any of the other mods to try and preserve order around here.

Yes demodding Fish on a whim like that was stupid and rude from me, regarding the hard job he made.
And this I am regretting it already.

I can't help but feel guilty. I haven't been around to stop nonsense like this. Maybe there is little to nothing I can do about it. However I've been with Felarya and you guys for a good long time. This is like going to work in the morning and coming home to find you home has burned down.

Things are being misunderstood again. From what I know of the recent thing of the wiki talk and EliteCreature, it was not saying the wiki was not canon- it just it isn't all expansive. In this case I was there and from what I understood Mac was just explaining there were some traits about Masumi not on the wiki he has of his own. I believe somewhere at this point I was just saying the wiki is a good guideline but not the absolute source of all, for that there is the creators and their take on their creations. I have no clue where this mod talk is, I never saw any of that so I cannot comment- and hence not misunderstand and cause a ruckus there. Look to the source and figure out what's wrong, talk directly.

I'm stunned. I don't know what to make of this. I don't know if I can make any difference on this decision Karbo, in fact even if I did it may be too late, but I should talk to you. You know I can tell you exactly what happened. I was even on the Vent while things were happening so I know what people were saying and thinking, not just typing. This is really really bad. I feel lost at this point, like a tether is gone and I'm in danger of drifting.


However, Rave, you are making me go from stunned to seriously pissed the fuck off. You don't get to be the spark that lit off the powder keg and then stand here gloating in the ashes. Shut the fuck up Goddamnit.This is the farthest thing from good. This is a tragedy. And you're being an asshole about it. This doesn't need fucking comic relief, and even if it did, you aren't funny. With all these people being banned, and those leaving on their own free will, I have to ask who is left that is of any particular interest? Silent Eric is still around, and he is a rather clever and funny writer. I might not like all of French-snacks works but there are certainly enjoyable and interesting ideas there. Clair, when he is not down on himself, is a great artist and does contribute ideas. a couple of others are around that I will probably appreciate more on reflecting, and a few others whom I have yet to truly appreciate their work certainly exist.

Yet, I feel that the most interesting people here will leave, and all that is left will be poorly written stories, flat characters, and the same song being sung over and over again. A sacrifice for stability, perhaps, but is that a sacrifice that renders the stability obsolete?

What have we accomplished here, us artists and writers, to make us feel we had ownership of Felarya? A few meaningless species, a few plants, a name here and there. a small and unnecessary detail for the mere sake of the fun of creating such a detail? Why does that make you an owner, simply to offer up details? Karbo had yet to truly use anything from the forms in any significant way, so it’s not as if he used any of us. As for being unrecognized, did you put all that work into your own stories so you could get a pat on the back from someone who is rather good at drawing? Do you have no respect for your own craft? Do you cry only when there is a crowed?

However, what have we accomplished here, us artists and writers? Have we not made friends, learned tools to improve are crafts, woke up the little gears in your mind and expanded you own personal reality with things that might not be pleasant but so necessary for growth. Do you see you self grow and flourish, while others of lesser talent and understanding are praised for idiotic little things? Too see foolish things cheered and art ignored, did it boil your blood? The interesting and smart woman constantly dumped for a nitwit with big tits? Where is the justice there?

I find myself in a rare circumstance, where I believe I have a greater understand of both sides of this story. So, with what I know and without the will to hold it close to my chest for love thrusts it to my lips, I will render a judgment on the situation.

You're all a bunch of idiots.

You're all right for the wrong reasons and wrong for the right reasons, you have all forgotten any point of being here. Those of you who wanted to make Felarya better have sacrificed that desire and your art in order to seek approval, and those of you have come here to better your art have sacrificed Felarya in order to stand apart from those sheep who seek approval.

The worst of you are those who have just come here, because you do not know this world and most of you do not care. You have joined and spoken before you learned, before you had any attachments. Nothing here is special to you yet, so you care not if you burn it. is it no wonder that your ignorance is met with anger?

It’s all more complicated then I could possibly put into words, so I will no longer try. The reality is you all have been fools, and forgot the point to being here. Why did you all drive the fun out?
