'Murmur' inn and tavern, near the entrance of the Forest of Whispers. The usual chat between two travelers in their foolish attempt to travel all over Felarya...

TRAVELER 1: Have you heard that rumor?
TRAVELER 2: Which one you mean? There are lots of them.
TRAVELER 1: OK, I've heard this one when I was in my way from Bulvon wood. It was about the fungi in that zone. You follow me?
TRAVELER 2: Yes, but more than the rumor itself, I find more interesting that you made it from Bulvon wood to this inn without being eaten in either there, the Giant Tree or the Forest of Whispers.
TRAVELER 1: That's not the point! Shall I go back to the fungi?
TRAVELER 2: Well, if you wish to...
TRAVELER 1: Some people claim that part of the fungi in the Bulvon wood is acting in a very strange way. It's like they are now able to move, even in a very slow pace. And I've also heard these fungi interact with each other.
TRAVELER 2: Wait, wait! Are you telling me fungi are becoming... sentient?
TRAVELER 1: At least in the Bulvon wood. But for now, it's nothing but a rumor about that zone. But since then, people seems to be even more careful.
TRAVELER 2: Why?
TRAVELER 1: Well, some guys have gone to collect mushrooms in the Bulvon wood and no one has heard of them since then. It's quite clear they've become food for some denizen of the woods.
TRAVELER 2: That means nothing. There are dridders and nymphs and other predators. Are you suggesting the fungi ate them?
TRAVELER 1: I suggest nothing, it's what I heard. Townsfolk immediately related the rumors with the disappearances. So why not? Stranger things have been recorded in books about this world.
TRAVELER 2: Hmmm... Quite interesting. Maybe if one day I reach Bulvon wood, I'll try to check it out.

Off the record, while the 1st traveler went to visit the Fairy Pond (and unfortunately he fell into it), the 2nd traveler never made it out of the Forest of Whispers. A mute fairy found him first. xD

Still, the rumor of the sentient fungi has been spreading lately in the area surrounding the Bulvon wood and even the Giant Tree.

(i'm a little confused i about this tread, are these rumors made up or what. if not just delete this reply)

rumor has it that someone saw a naga eat a wagon of vegetables, instead of the 2 humans right next to it.
noone knows if it's just bad eyesight or if it's the first ever naga vegetarian.

Two guys are in a cafe at Negav, one with a long scar on his face.

Guy 1: Hey man, how'd you get that scar?
Guy 2: Oh, well, I was walking around in the forest and got kinda lost. This guy popped up behind me and offered me a flare gun to help me out ya know, so I could get back home. So I gave him my Sword of Everchanging Metal and he left. I fired off the flare gun and waited for someone to pick me up, next thing I knew, a naga was trying to get me! I was running as fast as I could, and then I ran into a tree with leaf like blades... and you get the rest.
Guy 1: Wow... you're an idiot.
Guy 2: *sighs* Yeah, I know.
Guy 1: Why am I even talking to you?

Gunther strikes again!

a weary traveler covered in blood and mud walks into the tavern, sits down at the bar and asks for a whiskey.
a adventurer next to the man turns and asks him what had happen to him
the traveler coughed once or twice, and then began his tale...
"I was working as a bodyguard for some warlock. about a week ago we saw a large flash in the night sky and a light traveling down from the stars. I had no idea what the bloody thing was but that wizard had to find out. we traveled for about 3 days to where we thought that "thing had" had landed and sure enough, there was some kind of drop pod. the wizard instantly lost interest and we headed out to a near by neko village. thats when the 2 strangest things happened. first, we ran into 2 nagas, (oddly enough) one was being cried by the other . we ran for cover but one of the nagas as spotted us. she didn't run at us or anything. just smiled, waved, and went on here way. about an hour later we met some poor beaten man holding 1 half of an ambulate. he was speaking some gibberish about knights and men in trench coats with gas masks. We were just going to leave him when he grabbed me and said he need an escort to another neko village south of where we were. he then continued by saying that he would pay quite well for the job. he offered more than the wizard did so I went with him."

"so, how did you get so bloody and broken?" asked the adventurer.

"when we reached the neko village a day later. I found out he wasn't full of it after all. the village was a burning ruin. out of the fires came about 20 men in gas masks and blood red trench coats, from behind them I could see these giant tanks, storming through the rubble. the soldiers (atleast I think they were) grabed the man I was escorting and then proceeded to try to kill me. the came pretty damn close ill give them that. but I got away and just started wandering in a random direction. every village and town I came across for 3 days was destroyed. then when I finnaly got here. To be honest, the soldiers still have me worried. I had thought it was impossible to march an army through here, but I guess they were wrong. they seem to match the description of some new weird cult in felarya. I think they call the selves the alliance of humanity"

the traveler mumbled to himself for a second, then asked for a room, then proceeded to walk off upstairs. the tavern was then filled with the sound of arguing over that mans tale. although odd, not the oddest tale told in this tavern.

There's a really disturbing rumour going around that several new forms of predator have been spotted in Bulvon Wood. This may have something to do with the strange lightning storms and high spiritual energy readings we have been getting lately from that area.

Also of note is the rumour that Anko vanished from her post under the bridge to the temple for a few days-and that it has something to do with a certain striped naga.

Rumors going around about a new race with the bottom half of a gecko body that is preying on innocent faries, but they're just rumors...right?

In an tavern in Negav…

“Aye, I tell yeh. There be men livin’ in the Topazial sea. An I don’ mean Izatem city,” A man in a straw hat said, a mug of ale in his hand. “There be another island with a small colony somewhere to the south, in the tropic region.”

“Yeah, so what? There’s colonies all over. What makes this one so interesting?” Another man asked.

“Not much, when yeh first see it. But there be odd people in that colony. Driven people. Not one o’ them didn’ despise the large folk with an intensity borderin’ on insanity. It seems the worst haters o’ em gather upon that speck o’ land.” The man in the straw hat answered. “But they do more than curse the night. No, they be plannin’ to do somethin’ ‘bout the big folk. There be a powerful wizard there, and a couple that were titled…ummm…‘mole-kular engineers’. They spoke o’ somethin’ called…‘disease’…somethin’ that does weird stuff to men, eventually killin’ them. They said it be the result o’ tiny life forms dwellin’ a man’s blood. They said it be quite common upon other worlds.”

“What nonsense is this? Something that lives in a persons’ blood and kills them? You’ve enjoyed the ale too much at the taverns friend,” The other man said.

“Aye, I thought the same,” The man in the straw hat said. “But theres me more. There be somethin’ in the soil that stops these diseases from ‘urtin’ men ‘ere. Anyway, they be tryin’ to make a disease that can kill the big folk, made out o’ metal and bearin’ magic runes.”

“Ha! This just keeps getting better and better. But if they want to off the nagas, more power to them, I say!” The other man said.

“I would not be so quick to wish them well. Would yeh still cheer them on, when this disease, in killin’ the big folk, also meant death to a third o’ all men and women? I said they hated the big folk, I didn’ say they bore mankind any benevolence.”

Merchant: *sighs* Stupid bandits and naga!
Customer: What's wrong?
Merchant: Well, my supplies are running low because all my guys keep getting eaten or robbed... or robbed THEN eaten!
Customer: Huh, that doesn't sound fun! What are you going to do about it?
Merchant: Nothing, I don't know what to do.
Customer: Well, I heard of this place up North, rumor has it that they have some of the best cargo protecters. Thing is, what would live up North anyway?
Merchant: Hehe. Well, no harm in looking it up, right?
Customer: I guess not.
Merchant: Percy! Get ready! You're going up North!
Percy: *meekly nods and wiggles his arm stump*

Plugging my own future series:

A boy with a black claw as his right hand has been seen wandering around searching for the Queen of Darkness with two companions- who seem to be constantly, deliberately keeping him lost. He seems to have dark powers...

Did you hear? A couple dridder have sworn off Neko's after finding out that they make them sneeze! Isn't that funny?

There are rumors that a party of explorers has been saved from a giant sphinx by a strange one-armed, one-eyed (not cyclop), woman with pale brown eyes weilding a katana. The woman with the ronin-like garb managed to defeat the sphinx after a long battle. She spared the sphinx, stating that it's natural to be hungry and looking for food. The explorers were amazed by her incredible agility, speed, and lightning fast reflex, as well as her skills with the katana.

There are rumors that on occasion, people saw a samurai armor in the ruins of Ur-Sagol. The armor glowed ethereal light blue. The man inhabiting it was also entirely ethereal light blue, with hollow white eyes and mouth. It weilded a katana with a blade as broad as the chest plate. People can't decide if it's a ghost possessing the armor or not, as the man looks indeed like a ghost, but many claims to have been able to physically touch his face.

"I swear, the other night this gyspa was giving me grief! Then out of nowhere, this fairy dude with a katana shows up and presses the blade to the chick's throat! He didn't kill her though, he just preached about how he felt she was being too gluttonous, and there was plenty of more deserving prey around. He then turned his back to her to tell me to go on home.

Well, the bad news is, in the time he had his back turned to her, the gyspa got up, grabbed the dude by the arm and yanked it off! He started running around screaming for a while, before finally she just strangled him to death and started eating his body.

The good news is, by the time she was finished, she was too full to bother with me, so we just chatted for a while. I'm meeting her for bingo tonight."
