| I'm not sure if anyone has suggested it, but heres my take on it. All of the information below is merely suggestion at this point. Height Range: 40 to 90 feet. Voracious? Hell yes! Evil? Not Necessarily. Based on individual decision of character. I was thinking they would have a tribal mentality, and had great respect for strength, bravery, and who ever can hunt the best. They generally don't make a big deal out of gobbling up humans and other small people, but if they're hungry enough, a human that hasn't made a strong relationship with a cyclops is fair game. |

| Gotta dig a chick with a unibrow. I don't see much yet to differentiate these from giants aside the single eye, so maybe either really differentiate them with some other traits, or work them out as a sub-species to them. Or something. Depth perception and the weakness that having only one eye is, are two of the limiting traits of cyclopses. As a result I imagine that they have a higher rate of hunting failure compared to other races. |

| Speaking of Depth Perception...I will admit that their current set-up would seem to favor omnivorous (or even herbivorous) dietary patterns though. _________________ | Commander Fleyitch wrote: | | Ogryns. | One difference in the Cyclops's might be that they could be particularly good a forging artifacts, much like the ones in Greek myth, who were famous for the works, being the smiths of the Gods essentially. |

As with all of my threads, I am presenting an idea, and I am welcome to all sort of suggestions to further develop ideas and make something that will work out for Felarya. Any suggestions on personality/traits/etc are welcome, as long as its civil.
As for the depth perception and other weaknesses having only one eye would present could provide an interesting obstacle for a cyclops character, and giving further reasoning for a cyclops to respect a good hunter.

Sounds like a good idea! |

| I agree that the idea of cyclope character can be nice and original, especially in the design, but like Fish I don't really see what characteristics they could have as a race.. If anything, having a single eyes seem more of a drawback I think ^^; |

| Maybe to conpensate for having a single eye, they might have developed their other senses, "for example having a enhance sense of smell which can pin point food for several miles". |

Well, that I think is useful about threads, we always discuss what we can to make them unique.^^
I few new ideas I would like to present:
-like Malahite suggested, they would have an omnivorous diet, for those times when they are having trouble with catching humans.
-John Doe mentioned that they were good forgers in the original mythology. Maybe they would be a great place to go to when a pred decides that they want a weapon. They would have to capture a number of humans/nekos/etc, and give them to the cyclopses in exchange for their valuable forgery work.
-Cyclops, like other preds, are essentially a giant humanoid race with magic/unusual attributes, right? Technically, they should be fairly smart, and maybe they could tame some kind of large animal (that wouldn't feed on humans). The creatures would corner and capture the prey, and either bring to their cycloptic masters, or wait for their arrival.
-I'm sure they are also capable of making traps. If a human can fool another human with a trap, than surely a creature of very similar intelligence can do the same. |
