| In Felarya, there doesn't seem to be any kind of scale or method for keeping time. Of course, I doubt there would be with all the varying cultures and creatures as well as the chaotic nature of Felarya itself. Really, the year wouldn't be important to very many people on Felarya.
But when writing about things in the past of Felarya, being able to tell when stuff happened is a bit important. So far, I've just been basing my stories after Crisis. For example, Eddie Holly was born in 30 BC. Thirty years Before Crisis. And the present time, where most stories are written it's 60 years after Crisis was born. That's the system I've been using, but I was wondering if anyone else had any other ideas on the subject.
For that matter, how long would a Felaryan year be? How long are the seasons? If Felarya doesn't have space, does it still revolve around it's sun? It obviously has day and night, but how long is each? Does that mean Felarya rotates too? _________________ This Week's Climax! Four Gods wait on the Windowsill, Where eight Gods did War and Will. | I had this idea too but I based on the fall of Ur-Sagol _________________ I can call the snows, and wind, and lightning. The trees may bend to me when I ask. | hmm... say, that brings up a question:
How do people age in Felarya? Since it's like time stands still, people don't grow old and die.
Does this affect babies as well? And how do preds age? _________________ (98% of explorers have been eaten or will be eaten by a native creature in Felarya. If you're one of the 2% not in this group, copy & paste this in your signature.)

| I've thought about that too. Here's my take. It says in the wiki that 'your body doesn't take any damage caused by time'. So I take that to mean, you still get older, you just don't receive any physical effects of weakness. So you can grow up, just not grow old.
I also thought that you only don't age when you are touching the ground, so babies are kept in cribs off the ground until they mature into adults, but that was a stupid idea. _________________ This Week's Climax! | I think people would still keep track of time. Even if only by the seasons or major events. Aleski tells me mermaids keep track of time by counting the tides. |

| That makes sense. I didn't think of holidays. I guess they would keep track of the date. (I can imagine Katrika having a calander with a different picture of Anna each month. XD) But would they keep track of the year. Would they know whether it's the year 10,456 or whenever it is in Felarya?
Counting the tides? That must be a complex time system! Doesn't Felarya have two moons? _________________ This Week's Climax! Four Gods wait on the Windowsill, Where eight Gods did War and Will. And if the Gods themselves may die, What does that say for you, and I? |

| Londore has a shorter "year" than Felarya so Katrika has had a bit of a hard time adapting to her new home.
That's a great idea for Karbo! (As if he didn't have enough work already!) a Calender! Katrika would like that!
The mermaid tide system is very complicated but they ignore it anyway so it seems to work. |

| And what about all the other stuff? Length of the days, nights, years, and stuff like that? Is Felarya basically like Earth in all those regards? _________________ This Week's Climax! For time of day, I believe you mentioned that Felarya uses the stellar bodies of other realms?
Stick with this, as it is a real feth to plot out and explain a full night / day cycle for a planet with full detail. You'll have to start going into planetary rotation, stellar object distance, mean temperatures, winds, tides, etc.
Also, I'd like to suggest that Felarya mucks with most beings biological clocks. _________________

| Waaaait a minute. The fall of Ur-Sagol happened 2000 years ago? So the year is two thousand? Or is it a little past that, say 2008 years ago? Because that would be such a coincidence. _________________ This Week's Climax! Four Gods wait on the Windowsill, Where eight Gods did War and Will.
