During a conversation with Nickster 5 on the development of our story, he was suggesting a sequence where Cerberus Sel (see avatar or thread in character discussion) would go deep underground and find a massive underground cave full of strange plants, scary bug-like creatures, and underground rivers and lakes.

At one point, Cerberus Sel ventures near this river and follows it down to a waterfall where water comes in from some massive lake or ocean, and at the base of the waterfall, there were some grim, but beautiful mermaids.

He was thinking that it would be neat if they had beautiful singing voices, that like the sirens of Greek mythology, would lure men to them.

They would be kind of like a cross between normal giant mermaids and the flash mermaids.
Generally they would look like most mermaids, but their eyes would be biolumenescent, with greyish skin, and sharp claws (nothing outrageous though).

What do you guys think?

the sirens are a pretty good idea....but being stuck deep down in a cave kinda makes it hard to get food...ecspecially if it is only the random human or neko that gets too close.

Nickster 5 and I were thinking maybe that there would be many other kinds of critters lurking about downthere, and I'm sure that whereever there is a place for mermaids, there are fish!
