| Thank you. Well, here's some more ideas I've been playing around with. Wafelberry A pleasing red berry that appears to have a flavor reminiscent of a strawberry, and is readily identified by a sweet aroma that can be smelled for quite a long distance. The Wafelberry is an aqueous plant that grows in slow moving streams, their plants drawing nutrients from the surrounding water and stream bed. It is not unusual to find streams which are absolutely clogged with the delicious berries. These brilliant red streams are referred to as Wafel Brooks, and are a treat to any hungry traveler who runs across one in the forest. However mermaids also enjoy these berries, often treating themselves to a dessert of sweet berries after eating whoever may have been trying to grab a few berries for themselves. Bugleberry A small purple juicy berry which is in fact perfectly round and not in any way shaped like a musical instrument of any type. It gets it name from the dog sized lizard that can often be seen feeding on these berries. Bugle Lizard Size: 2 feet tall, 4 feet long Threat: Very Low A small lizard found in the jungles of Felarya. It has a bony neck frill and a long, slender body which at a distance gives it the appearance of the small hunting horn that gives it its name. In fact, the similarities don’t stop there, for the Bugle lizard is capable of a honking sound that can sound quite musical and pleasing to some. The lizard is completely herbivorous and is only known to eat bugleberries. The lizard will honk when anything comes to close, or if someone is taking its supply of bugleberries. It won’t attack, and it’s sonic assault causes no harm to anyone, but it typically will attract any predators nearby, usually to the detriment of whoever is taking the bugleberries. Some enterprising species have trained these reptiles to be guard creatures, honking when someone approaches. Rosic nekos have also trained these creatures, but more for musical reasons then defensive. Though with the Rosic nekos, the two things are synonymous. Raynor Thorn Bush A lush green bush from which grows succulent pink and violet fruits that are among the sweetest fruits available. Named for Raynor Havveston an early Felaryan explorer who died discovering it. The fruits of these plants look inviting but the tiny thorns covering the branches are launched out as soon as something moves close enough to put weight on its roots. The thorns are covered in a paralyzing toxin strong enough to put down a kensha beast. Enough of the toxin can even bring down a giant naga. The effect usually lasts for several hours. While the Raynor toxin does not kill, an immobile creature does not survive long in Felarya. In fact, the toxin is said to add a bit of spice to a meal, making humans found laying near this bush a delicacy for predators. Because the thorns are so small it is almost impossible to see them launched, and to the unaware it looks as if someone who goes to close to the bush just collapses for no reason. Usually prompting them to try to help their comrade which creates a second victim to the plant. Some enterprising neko tribes have found ways to harvest the toxin, though the secret to doing so is a jealously kept secret. These tribes utilize blow darts to rapid fire toxic darts to keep predators at bay. Dryads sometimes attempt to grow this plant near themselves, for obvious reasons. _________________ This Week's Climax! November 3rd, 2009

| Thanks again! I liked these ones too. When I come up with these I tend to either come up with a cool or amusing name and think of a description to fit it (Like right now I'm working on a new plant I'm calling the humbleberry. I have no idea what it'll do, but I love that name ^^) or I have an idea and go from there. (Like another plant I'm working on. I don't have specifics, but it's going to be a sentient and intellegent talking plant eaten by humans and nekos. Maybe even by neeras and other tiny races! Ha ha, irony.) I'll have the next batch of plants ready soon. _________________ This Week's Climax! November 3rd, 2009

| Perhaps it (the humbleberry) could be a vital ingredient in a "Potion of Courage" or something similar? _________________ | Commander Fleyitch wrote: | | Ogryns. | Despite all the headway I'm making, blazing new and exciting frontiers in other, less leafy subjects, I can't forget my roots in flora. (Pun intended ) So here's a carnivorous plant! Those are surprisingly rare so far, compared to everything else! Elex This plant is fairly common, and can be found anywhere from half submerged in rivers, to the ocean. A creature quite a bit taller than a man, standing on a single, root-like foot. It has two 'heads' - a smaller one on a stalk and a larger one in the center of it's body. It's faces are surrounded by flower petal-like tentacles and it has a pair of grasping arms that look like dead branches. It attaches itself to the shoreline with it's root-like foot. It snatches prey with it's stretching tentacles and bony arms and shoves them into either of it's two maws. By swaying with the waves, it disguises itself as large seaweed, allowing it to pounce on fish, small mermaids, and swimmers. When the tide goes out, it remains exposed on the beach, where it can continue to breathe air and attack travelers on the beach. If it dries out too much, it is capable of uprooting itself and moving to a better location by dragging itself across the sand with it's two giant arms and single foot. While the plant can eat anything up to human size, it is very easy to see it for it's true nature when it has a large meal in it. _________________ This Week's Climax! November 3rd, 2009

| Found this in an old notebook I had. Not sure if I've posted this before, but I do like it. So here it is (again?) Floospray Tree A tall, but bent, rugged yellow, coastal tree. Large and flaccid stubby branches project outward from the main trunk, and at the end of each branch is a gaping hole, from which fluids spew forcefully at inopportune moments. An elaborate root network extends from the tree and snakes through rocks, over and under ground, and down to the nearest water source which the tree absorbs and shoots from it's branches. The trees are never farther than a mile away from it's water source. Although rather startling the first someone is drenched in the liquid, some creatures in the forest enjoy using the tree to clean themselves as a makeshift shower. Many predators swear on how good the tree-tment (Oh god, what a bad pun) makes their hair look. A few of these Floospray trees grow close to the Fairy Pond. And the water that is spewed from these trees shrink those it hits, just like the water in the Pond. Rumors say that the water is somehow able to work on predators, although if the tree changes the mystical properties of the water is unconfirmed, as no scientists have been able to convince a predator to shrink themselves. Not even for Science. _________________ This Week's Climax! November 3rd, 2009

| This idea isnt ment to be a serious attempt, just in case it hasnt been thought of yet Fortune flower 1ft tall, grows near areas with constant dimentional distortion A rare breed of flower that can predict the future based on what color and shape it takes. They can be planted in the center of a town to give basic predictions about the town Red - An event will happen involving pain or death Blue - There will be a loss of something Green - Secrets and distrust will occur Pink - Mating season is approching. -dependant on the main species of the village, doesnt turn this color if it is all or mostly humans- Black - Something tragic will happen and the flower distroyed White - A time of relaxation or peace The shape is also an important part Drying up - The flower is absorbing the energy of the ground, normally does this after being replanted or avoiding a black fortune Spikes - An event of pain will happen soon, more spikes means sooner Florishing - A good event will happen soon, more leaves means sooner yeah... about the shape thing, I had a mental explosion and lost the ideas for it... will edit when I remember them |

| okay this is a idea while in the forum chat box. i don't think this plant will be taken serious and such. ^^; just thought it would be an interesting idea Valni Flowic pod The plant looks like a bright red plant pod during the day, but when dusk comes it opens to and glows moon silver. a vine comes out of it and a flower at the end of the vine, opens up to reveal a blackish blue rose. no one knows about these flower vines because the plant prefers twilight light areas or dark areas on Felarya. the color of the vines are relatively the same as the inside of the pod. the pods usually grows on other trees, dryads on even on the ground, "sleeping" for most of the day until it opens up to feed at night. It feeds by emitting a song like sound that can attract poor travelers or other beings to it. the song varies from person to person because the sound will turn into a song of what ever the person personally likes. When the person hearing the song or sound will try and follow it to its source (if the poor sap is eaten by another pred the sound/song stops) and will come upon a giant glowing flower producing a small sweet smell. If the song/sound does work, the plant will extend its root system, create smaller vines and wrap them around any trees or other foliage and blossom faintly glowling sliver colored flowers. These flowers will expel nearly invisible spore that will shimmer and produce an illusion of whatever its prey deeply desires. for humans or nekos, the illusion will take the form of perfect person for most. The illusion is not completely perfect for some of felarya's inhabitants and cunning travelers can tell its an illusion if because the illusion will sometimes shimmer, but most of the time the person seeing the illusion of his or her perfect partner will follow the illusion until its too late as the person is up into his or her knees or tail or whatever into the plants "mouth" and clamp down on the pour soul's neck, sticking many needle like vines into different areas of the beings body. How the plant actually feeds is by opening the middle of the flower, sending smaller vines to wrap around the daydreaming or sound drunken induced victim and swallows them up, up to their neck and began a vampire/spider like suction that drains all liquids from the preys body. After a couples hours of draining the victims body, the plant will either suck the rest of the body down into its larger gut to digest the more 'meaty' material, or use it as sack for other prey or as a spore/seed holder. Sometimes the plant will actually suck up its entire meal and close up after it has gotten a a good amount of food in its larger gut. The plant places non fertile spores into one of its previous victims bodies and waits for the time to bloom and release its spore by *ahem* mating with the corpse and catapulting it elsewhere in Felarya. This is a very strange behavior for the plant and no one knows why it does it nor bother to care to stop it for the plant will most definatly lash out with poisoned vines or shot poison thorns at intruders during its... um.. mating time. ^-^; The plant's vine body is very sensitive to direct sunlight and stays in its protective pod until the twilight hours. It stay out of the pod from down to sun up. its very strange for a plant to behave the way its does for it mostly prefers heavily shaded areas, twilight hours of the day, caves or ravines or valleys. or just complete night time. the plant also susceptible to "drowning" near large bodies of water. the pod varies in size, ranging from human size to half the size of an average giant naga. the bigger pods are the most rarest ones to find for the pod usually destroyed when trying to make a meal out of the larger preds. The out side of the pod if very thick and hard to break into like coconut combined with a walnut shell while the inside is soft and meaty. The weakest part of the plant is the flower and the stalk connecting to it. When it is feeding is the only time the plant can be killed. ^-^; well here it is... the first plant i have ever created... hope this little bugger finds a good home in felarya _________________ "No matter how small or insignificant life or family is, they are still precious to the most villains beings. | Roflesia (ROFL + Rafflesia Flower) The roflesia is a wide, squat flower without a stem. They are usally sunken a bit into the ground, with tough, bright petals which remain closed most of the time. These petals have quite intricate, eye-catching designs. Their centers are hollowed out, leading to an inner chamber. As carnivorous plants they are luckily both immobile, and fairly easy to recognize, growing in multitude. They have a specialization for hunting which can easily catch prey off guard, though. When sensing possible prey in their vicinity, they release a mist that contains a highly euphoric toxin. This toxin confuses the senses and disables by limiting muscle control- its strongest effect is to cause something that's inhaled enough of it it to burst out into an uncontrollable laughing fit, writhing around on the ground helplessly. With the air just above the ground filled with the dense fog released, it's very easy to mistakenly tumble right into the mouth of one of the surrounding roflesias, with anyone that wanders in after to help likely falling to the trap as well. If you recognize them before the toxin permeates the air, you can likely escape before they all release their toxin. In addition, it only stays potent for about an hour, after which it dissipates and the roflesias will close for several more hours as they produce more. Roflesias are sometimes cultivated by giant beings, of which the roflesias can do little to aside from granting a mild euphoric sensation and the chuckles. |

| man i wanna jump in on this, to help create flora and fauna but that means reading over all of the ones created so i dont make a duplicate. T_T are there any plants that are more dangerous AFTER they've been killed? maybe a plant that spreads a lot, and looks like a field, but when destroyed releases something powerful making it stronger after death? |
