| Ah damn. That was what I was hoping to avoid. I'll be sure to swerve that little obstacle in the next chapter. _________________ (98% of explorers have been eaten or will be eaten by a native creature in Felarya. If you're one of the 2% not in this group, copy & paste this in your signature.)

| | I think the two main point that posed problem was how easily Ginelle was able to take Laureen away, and how Anchus and Anchodamus both looked at the trick as if it was some sort of genius strategy while it was rather basic in my opinion ^^; |

| Well, I considered those a bit minor in detail, and never gave thought there. Concerning Ginelle, I didn't think people were interested in the dragging scene, and as for the trap, I was looking for a method to introduce "him", if you get my drift. Also, I just don't like the elder naga.
But thankfully I've worked out the next chapter with that in mind, and I'll be sure to explain those types of details better. Thank you very much for your input, Karbo. The feedback will indeed help me. _________________ (98% of explorers have been eaten or will be eaten by a native creature in Felarya. | Hopefully this chapter will prove to be a better one than the last. I was sure to explain as much as I could. Please enjoy.

Chapter Twenty-Two
The terrible droid stared down at Anchus and Anchorus, inspiring a fear they had never once felt before.
"Hello, boys. Nice to meet you at long last."
While they looked at the hovering machine in fear, Anchus spotted the Confederate symbol upon his shoulder.
"You... you're a CIS droid, aren't you?"
"That I am, little man. And I am here to take care of you two, on orders of the supreme commander. You may refer to me as 'Anchodamus'."
"But... who are you, Anchodamus?"
"Hm hm hm... well, to put it simply, I am your younger brother. Of the Pandora project."
He then landed nearby and approached the brothers slowly, and with a calmed stride in his step.
"You see, I know all about you two. Anchus, for example... you are the brains of the group, but are not exactly the strongest in terms of muscles."
He shifted his attention to Anchorus.
"And you, Anchorus.... the big brute, who's brain is comparable to a pea. Yes. I know you both inside and out."
He stepped even closer and looked upward at his brothers.
"You both were failures of the project, and thus are not fit to exist, whereas I, the perfect machine, have succeeded in my programming. You two have therefore become absolete."
Anchodamus then unleashed all four of his gatling guns, two from his shoulders and two from his palms, and pointed them straight at the brothers.
Now, I suggest you two failures surrender. I can make your termination quick and painless, or I can let my new fleshly allies here handle you. It's your choice."
The brothers were left with few options in their way. With four chainguns to their front and a hundred naga spears to their back, they were screwed all around.
"Uhh... Anchus... any plans on how to get out of this?"
"Unfortunately, my brother, I'm low on ideas at the moment..."
"Perhaps we could reason with them..."
"Afraid not, Anchorus. They both want us dead, remember?"
As Anchodamus and the nagas awaited a response from them, Anchus delved into thought once more.
"Hmm.... well, we won't stand a chance against the hundred foot fleshies behind us. We might as well try our chances with this 'Anchodamus' creature."
He whispered into his brother's ear and, after getting back a bit of doubt from him, they both finally agreed to a plan, as they turned back to an awaiting Anchodamus.
"Well, gentlemen? Have you made a decision?"
Anchus stood up and spoke.
"Yes. Yes we have. NOW, ANCHORUS!"
Before he could even move, Anchorus delivered a swift, yet devastating punch to Anchodamus and his face, pushing him back into the ground and causing him to skid across the field, back a good few yards. Anchus then yelled out another order to his brother.
"ANCHORUS! CHARGE!"
Anchorus obliged by putting all his gears into motion and began to rush forward. The nagas infront of him were so taken back by his sudden racing, they were left offguard before they noticed him. By the time they set up their spears, it was too late. Anchorus and his brother charged through three nagas, sending them flying in all directions. The elder naga slithered after them in a frustrated pace, ordering all of her tribe to pursue. Meanwhile, Anchodamus slowly stood up and corrected his jaw.
"Ugh... I should've seen that coming. They'll pay for such a transgression."
With that, he turned on his boosters and took to the skies, scouring the forest for his targets....
Back with the brothers, Anchus and Anchorus continued running for ther lives, hearing the slithering of naga tails behind them and boosters above them. As they ran by multiple trees, Anchorus then realized something before stopping dead in his tracks. Anchus was left surprised.
"Anchorus! What are you doing? Keep running!"
"Anchus... we have to go back."
"WHAT?! WHAT THE HELL FOR?!"
"Anchus... we left Laureen. I'm not leaving her in their scaly hands."
Anchus's eye actually twitched as he looked at his brother in disgust. He tried reasoning with him, hearing the slithering nagas approach closer by the second.
"Listen, my brother. I've dealt with alot of your 'fleshy nonsense'. But this is too far. WE CANNOT GO BACK FOR HER!"
The big droid thought for a second about what to do. Anchorus then made up his mind.
"Sorry, brother. She means too much to me. Even if we get terminated, I'm not gonna leave her."
Anchorus turned back and charged the nagas, going completely against his brother's will, if only to get Laureen. Anchus held on tight as he saw his brother forcefully rip out a nearby tree and use it as a battering ram. When they came face to face with the nagas, they were udderly surprised to see him charging straight at them. They had no time to react before his battering ram of a tree crashed into their group, sending them skyward in all directions. The multiple girls that avoided him recovered from his aberrant stampede and turned tail to follow after the droids, the elder naga in the lead.
Before the brothers could stop, Anchodamus landed right infront of them and prepped all four of his chainguns.
"Eat led, you miserable failures!"
All four chainguns spun and unleashed a torrent of gauss level bullets, which tore up the tree ram in seconds flat, reducing it to a smoking stump. Anchorus, thinking fast for a change, then threw the stump at Anchodamus, who caught it and crushed it in his grip. Unfortunately, he did not see Anchorus still rushing at him, and was thrown to the side by his tremendous force. Anchorus continued past him, towards where the nagas initially ambushed them, and pointed forward.
"I can hear a heavy dragging noise, Anchus. She's that way!"
Through the clearing he went, until he spotted a vague image ahead. It was Ginelle, and she had her arms under Laureen's arms. She was slowly dragging her back towards the den, which was quite a ways away. Before she got far, though, Anchorus came rushing up to her, a grimmace on his brow.
"Hold it, you! I'm not letting you take Laureen away!"
With a mighty grip he grabbed Ginelle's left arm, making her drop Laureen onto the grass. Anchorus pulled the girl naga closer and stared at her fiercely.
"I will not leave her with you monsters. You who lie to your friends and betray them, just for your tribe."
She struggled to get free of his grip and yelled back at him.
"Listen, you metal outsider. I'm keeping her safe from you by any means necessary. It wasn't right for you to take her away."
Then, surprisingly, Anchus stood and spoke.
"...and you think you can remedy it by forcing her against her will to return to your den?"
"Well, uh... she wasn't in her right mind. It was my only choice."
"Wasn't in her right mind? She was doing just fine! Did you notice her happiness upon seeing you? If I understand fleshies correctly, she wouldn't have been so happy if her trek with us was so miserable. Is that correct?"
"Well, I guess, but you still did those bad things to our sisters. There's no way I can trust you...."
"Really? Well, Ginelle, do you not agree that the elder naga of your tribe is a raving she-witch? Her meaty organic brain suffers from errors beyond comprehension. Clearly she can't be trusted. If it wasn't for her, we wouldn't have been in this mess. You must agree, don't you?"
Ginelle thought about that last question, not being sure how to answer.
"Well, of course not, but.... I don't know. She wouldn't risk her entire tribe like this... but then again, it was her daughter. I can't blame her... it's just too confusing. How can I be sure of Laureen's safety with you two?"
Anchus jumped right up and looked directly into Ginelle's eyes.
"Listen, and listen good. We are not controlling Laureen. She chose to stay of her own free will. And, as you could see, she was very happy. I doubt your 'elder naga' is really doing this for the tribe. If anything, it could be nothing more than an excuse to kill us. Now, as her friend, can you truly deny her being happy and free, and out of her mother's deranged grip?"
"... No... I can't. But still...."
"Good. Now, you have to trust us. We must take Laureen out of her crazy mother's hands, before something bad happens. Okay?"
Anchorus spoke to her in a pleading voice as Anchus said this.
"Please. You have to trust us. I... love Laureen... I'd hate myself without end, should she ever be unhappy. You have to believe us..."
With tears in her eyes she stared down into Anchorus's pupils, seeing not the fierce war machine he was before, but instead the gaze of the innocent one Laureen saw him as instead. With nary a doubt in her mind, she nodded.
"Okay. I understand. Looking and seeing such a face... I can tell Laureen would want it this way. If she truly was happy with you two, then I can't get in the way, even if my feelings disagree. Maybe the elder was wrong this time..."
Just then they heard the sound of a naga stampede heading towards them. Trees were being knocked down in their wake, and even Anchodamus had rejoined in the chase. Hearing this, Ginelle took a deep breath and looked at Laureen once more, making Anchorus curious.
"If I may ask, Ginelle... just what kind of friend would go to this much trouble?"
She giggled.
"This kind of friend...."
She then placed her hands on Laureen's cheeks and moved closer to her face. She gently ran her finger across the unconscious naga's lips and licked her own before closing in. She made contact with Laureen's lips and began a slow and passionate kiss with her, holding her tight in the process. She played with the girl's tongue in a cheerful manner. Tears ran down her face as she blushed ruby red and moaned with a hint of pleasure, for she felt the warmth of Laureen's chest rubbing up against hers. The tongue-play continued for quite a while, until they heard the sound of the naga stampede on fast approach. When Ginelle heard this, she parted lips with Laureen and held her tight, before running her fingers across the girl's soft skin.
"I love you, Laureen. Please don't forget me."
Anchus and Anchorus, witnessing the event, stood on the sidelines with mixed reactions.
"Oh.... I guess she was THAT kind of friend... no wonder she cared so much. It's a beautiful thing, isn't it Anchus?"
"Ugh. We haven't the time to admire such vomit inducing emotions, not to mention this damn convention of plot holes and misconstrued nonsense. The nagas, and Anchodamus, are approaching fast. We must leave. NOW."
Ginelle helped pick up Laureen, setting her on Anchorus's shoulder, just opposite of where Anchus was sitting. Anchorus placed his arm over her back, to ensure she was safely in his grip. Next she stood back and took another breath, looking down at the floor as Anchorus turned around to run away. Before he took off, though, Ginelle had one last thing to say.
"I know she's mature enough to handle herself... Just... promise me you'll take care of her, just incase."
Anchorus turned his head for the last time and reassured her.
"I promise..."
He then dragged onward, with Anchus on one shoulder and Laureen over another shoulder, into the woods. He did this right as the nagas, the elder and Anchodamus approached their position.... _________________ (98% of explorers have been eaten or will be eaten by a native creature in Felarya. | Chapter Twenty-Three
It was a long time since Anchorus ran into the woods. He still held Laureen over his shoulder, and she was still out like a light. As he went by the multiple trees, the droid searched for a suitable place to settle for when it got dark, and had little time to do so, seeing the twilight of day's end at hand. Anchus was asleep on the big guy's shoulder, thus leaving him on his own at the moment. Despite this, Anchorus went forward towards a safer area.
"Hmm.... I need a sutiable place to.... wait. That looks nice."
He spotted an oddity ahead which intrigued his interest. It was a massive site, filled with nothing but crumbling buildings and decimated ruins. The place was completely abandoned, save for the occasional rustle in the bushes. It went on for who knows how long, almost as if it had no end. Though it was also surrounded by nothing but forest, the trees and foliage had, for some reason, decided not to continue into the area, intriguing Anchorus even more. The big droid looked around and, without a second thought, proceeded into the ruins.
He found a solid enough wall inside the crumbling metropolis and sat Laureen up against it. He made sure to put her down very gently, for he wished not to lay harm upon her beautfiul body. Unfortunately, he miscalculated the slant at which his body was at and accidently threw a sleeping Anchus down onto the cold, hard ground. He woke up with a front as soon as he hit face first.
"Oomph! Anchorus! What the hell?"
"Oh! Damn. I'm sorry, brother."
Anchorus scrambled to pick his disgruntled brother up off the ground, to which he was rudlely greeted.
"Sorry about that, Anchus. I wasn't paying attention..."
"Ugh. That's the last time I trust you with our next path, you big oaf."
Anchus climbed to the top of his brother's head and looked around curiously at the crumbling and faded utopia around them. His mind wandered throughout the various structures that were before him, and surprisingly intrigued him to no end.
"Brother... where are we? I don't ever remember running into this place before...'
"I don't really know, Anchus. I lost track of where we were after we got away from those nagas and Anchodamus."
"Well, while we are in the clear, I say we explore these ruins a bit. I've never seen such craftsmanship before. These structures could hold secrets never before unveiled to us. Also, it wouldn't hurt to look for something that will help us defeat those nagas and Anchodamus."
Anchus jumped off of his brother's armor and slowly walked through the blank and desolate city, marvelling at how every object just seemed to make itself unique from everything else. Anchorus joined afterward, after making Laureen comfortable. He walked through the city alongside his brother and stood firm.
The two wandered for hours, hoping to find anything that would help them. Unfortunately, all they had managed to find were evacuated buildings, filled with empty chasms, empty chests and scampering little critters. Any treasure that was once there looked to be pilfered and left for naught. The brothers were engraged to find nothing of use there and slowly drudged back to Laureen, still sleeping near the city walls.
"Well, Anchorus.... looks like there's nothing of use here in this stupid city. All I see are tracks long gone. Must've been those damn greedy humans."
"Yeah... say, I wonder what this place used to be... I've never seen such desolation in Felarya. I mean, what kind of city like this is 'wiped out'?"
"I'm not sure, Anchorus... I mean, hot damn. I'm not sure if I've recorded such destruction in any of my mental archives."
They continued thinking on the mysterious ruins, right until they heard a soft voice behind them.
"Ugh.... Ur-Sagol....?"
They turned to see a now conscious Laureen, trying to balance herself upward on her wobbly and energy drained tail. The poor naga turned towards the brothers and attempted to spoke.
"An...chie. We're... in Ur-Sago... but how?"
She suddenly fell back to the ground, but was fortunately caught in Anchorus's arms as he sprinted to catch her. She looked into his greyish eyes with a tired expression as he returned the look with a worried embrace.
"un.... Thanks."
"Please. You're still too drained from that sleeping powder. Don't try standing upward for a while."
"Okay... but I can help you guys. I know where we are."
Anchus rushed to his brother's side and listened in as she unveiled to them the knowledge she had. Anchorus put her down softly so she could speak.
"Okay, Laureen. Me and Anchus would be more than happy to listen."
"Thanks, Anchie... Anyway, now that I'm awake, I know where we are. My mother told me stories of this place before she became psychotic on me. It's an ancient city called 'Ur-Sagol', famous for being one of the biggest lost civilizations ever recorded in Felaryan history. They say it became so big, the guardians decided to destroy it all, to preserve this world. I don't know what else happened here, but my mom told me of how she used to hunt here with her old family and ate humans that passed through the big dimensional gate. There's nothing left here now, except for pillaged ruins that the humans stole things from. I wish I knew more, but I don't. It's still such a big mystery. I'm sorry..."
Anchorus placed his big metal hand on her face and wiped away a tear that fell from her eye.
"It's okay. We know enough, thanks to you. Now, please rest off the rest of that powder."
"Heh. Okay...."
She placed her head back against the wall and started to nap, much to the big droid's pleasure. Anchus, on the other hand, stood upon a pillar nearby and heard something in the distance.
"...Anchorus. Keep quiet. I hear somebody approaching."
"Who is it, brother? The nagas?"
"Yes. The slithering noise is undeniable. I also hear 'his' footsteps. Anchodamus...."
"What do we do, Anchus?"
"Lay low, get some cover and shut the hell up. Get into hiding and let them pass by."
He jumped downward and hid behind Laureen's sleeping body. Anchorus looked around for some object to conceal them and spotted a large, deteriorating wood door, big enough to cover an entire ten yard area. He broke it off, picked up a large piece and approached Laureen. He tucked her and Anchus into a corner and then placed the giant wooden plank infront of all three of them. The result? They were now up against a corner with two solid walls behind them, and a large enough wooden plank covering over them. In essence, they were now completely out of sight. That's what they hoped, anyway.....
Meanwhile, on Ur-Sagol's outskirts, the naga tribe, with the elder and Anchodamus in front, beheld the city infront of them and looked on with determination.
"Here it is, outsider, er, Anchodamus- The city of Ur-Sagol. My women have reported that those creatures and my daughter were last spotted in there."
Anchodamus took an initial scan of the city, which took several minutes. Then he looked back at the elder.
"Hmm.... there's too much interference coming from the city. That large dimensional gate nearby must be messing with my equipment. We'll have to go inside the city and search manually."
"Alright. My guards and I will accompany you into the city."
She then spread the nagas out and ordered them through the multiple city entrances. Anchodamus and the elder went through the central entrance place and began their search. The nagas turned the city inside out and upside down in search of Laureen and the brothers, leaving no stone unturned and no building unexplored. The elder naga tried using her advanced senses to try and locate them and Anchodamus attempted using his scanners, but for some reason, they were weakened within the city boundaries. They were reduced to using their regular vision. They manually looked inside every building, crevace and destroyed piece of agriculture, and still turned up empty....
Later into the search, the snake women regrouped in the city's center, and none of them had good news. Anchodamus and the elder turned towards eachother with the same type of report with them.
"Ugh. I've got nothing. How about you, madam?"
"Nothing. Your stupid brothers are pretty decent when it comes to running away."
"So what now, miss scales? Can't your women do any better? Or are they just as useless as the other flesh creatures I've seen?"
"Don't insult me, outsider. You forget that here, I know more than you, so I'm in charge."
"feh... whatever. I'm gonna go search over there."
Anchodamus went off and left the elder in his dust, leaving her enraged, though he didn't really care. The droid approached the general location where the brothers and Laureen had hid, and became suspicious of the area, seeing that nobody had explored it before. He also did not like how quiet it was in the vicinity. He listened closely for any noises out of the ordinary. Fortunately, Anchus and Anchorus could hear him on the other side of the plank and remained quiet. Unfortunately, Anchus was atop Laureen's head and accidenty slipped off from the suspense of the moment. He pulled on her hair to recover, causing Laureen to yelp in pain, and Anchorus barely was able to cover her mouth in time...
...but it was too late. Anchodamus had already heard them, and approached the plank with suspicion on his mind. It was only a matter of time now..... _________________ (98% of explorers have been eaten or will be eaten by a native creature in Felarya. | Actually, Karbo, she went back to the den.
And I'm planning to have her play yet another part in the story.

Chapter Twenty- Four
Anchodamus slowly walked towards the concealed brothers with their naga friend. They panicked, not knowing what to do as he came closer and closer. Anchus jumped onto his brother's shoulder and tried forming a plan. Anchorus could not remain calm, hearing the ominous footsteps of the powerful mech approaching them.
"Damn. Damn. Damn. What do we do, Anchus? He's gonna find us."
"Let me think... Okay, Laureen can slither fast, right? She's fully awake by now?"
They turned to Laureen, who whispered back to them.
"Yes. Don't worry about me. I'm awake. I can handle myself, Anchus."
"Good. Now, I think I have a plan. Listen up."
He whispered his plan at Anchorus and Laureen, and knowing the little time they had, the two agreed to it. They then turned to the plank, which had Anchodamus right on the other end. The droid smirked as he lifted his hand and approached the plank.
"Well, let's see what's behind door number one...."
That was when Anchus enacted his plan.
"NOW, YOU TWO! PUNCH WITH GREAT FORCE!!!"
Without a moment wasted Anchorus used his fists and Laureen used her tail and they each forcefully shoved the plank outward. The force of the shove threw the plank, and Anchodamus in the process, back half a mile into a crumbling wall, which collapsed on him. The rubble came down and buried Anchodamus before he could act and left him in a daze. This alerted the other nagas and the elder to what happened, and they rushed over with haste. This was when Laureen and the brothers took the opportunity to rush out of their corner and head for the outer perimeter. Nagas were everywhere, and they all were looking out for them. The group ran with surprising velocity out of Ur-Sagol.
Before they could reach the limits, though, the brothers and Laureen were discovered by the nagas, who covertly converged on them without a moment to spare. They practically came out of the framework and surprised them. The elder rushed to their area and ran to the front of her sisters, staring down the brothers. They were surrounded on all sides, and she smiled at knowing this.
"It's over, you two. Let my daughter go and surrender. I promise to make your deaths slow and painful.... er, I mean NOT slow and painful..."
Anchorus stood back to back with Laureen, looking at the surroounding nagas, each wielding their own weapon, from staffs to magical implements and even crudely constructed broad swords and spears. There was little the gang could do amongst this onslaught. Even Anchus was at a loss for ideas, just as Anchorus and Laureen turned to him for a plan.
"Brother? We could use a plan right now..."
"Yes, come on. Be useful for once, like your cute big brother."
"Look, I... well, I'm out of ideas. If we move, they'll start hacking away and will likely pile on us, being that they outnumber us a hundred to one right now. If we don't move, we'll be caught and executed. This time they've really done a number on us..."
They looked around for any object the could use to help them, but it was all for naught. Not a single item on the ground could save them. Even the trees were a ways off and out of their reach. Laureen held onto Anchorus tight as the nagas closed in. Anchorus, in turn, looked deep into her eyes.
"Anchie... I don't want to go back with her if she's going to kill you... maybe if it was your brother, I wouldn't mind, but not you..."
"Don't worry, Laureen. There must be a way out of this. We'll find some way."
"I'm not sure this time, Anchie, but I won't leave your side regardless....."
In a sign of protest to her mother, Laureen coiled her body around Anchorus to protect him from the other nagas. She wrapped her arms sensually around his torso, making sure not to loosen her grip on his body. Naturally the elder was not happy with her, as she stormed out in front of her sisters and confronted her daughter.
"Laureen! Uncoil yourself from that... that creature! Now! Get over here, where you belong. Where you're safe."
Laureen, on the other end, protested strongly.
"I will not, mother. You still don't understand, do you? If you want him, you will have to go through me!"
The elder stood back and remained silent, much to all of their confusion. She thought for half a minute, not making a single sound. The air was tense, and not a creature stirred, almost as if they were afraid of breaking her thought.
Finally, after a brief moment, she turned back towards her daughter.
"So you will not leave peacefully with us?"
"I won't, mother."
"...Fine. I'll take you by force, my dearest Laureen. Then I'll make sure you and your friends never disobey me again. Just like your foolish friend Ginelle. It will be for your own good......"
"What?! What do you mean? What did you do to Ginelle?!"
But her mother didn't answer. She slithered back in a bit of sadness and ordered her guard nagas to approach the brothers closer. Anchorus held onto Laureen tight, hoping that his brother would come up with a solution, but yet he still had no ideas. It seemed like the end for them....
Meanwhile, back in Ur-Sagol, underneath the planks and crumbled wall pieces was a most angry Anchodamus. He was now revving his boosters. In his mechanical mind burned the images of his targets, the Anchor Brothers. The fact that he had not caught them brought his oil to a boil, making his eyes glow crimson red from hate.
"This.... this was not how it was supposed to go.... I was sent here to terminate them, and yet they've humiliated me multiple times over. No more.... IT. ENDS. NOW!!!!"
Then, in a fiery blast of explosive energy, Anchodamus erupted from the pile of rubble in a blistering rage. His stare was now focused intently at the brothers, who were at a distance from him, yet were still in his sights. He revved his thrusters and targeted the brothers, then proceeded to blast full throttle towards them. He didn't even care that there were several of the elder's nagas in his path, including the elder herself. All his focus was towards the brothers.....
Back at the ring of nagas, the women were approaching Anchus, Anchorus and Laureen, and their elder was staring the brothers down. Laureen still held on to her beloved droid, ready to defend him against the others. It was all coming down on them at that moment...
All of a sudden, the elder heard an odd and deafening boom behind her. She turned around to look, only to find that it was Anchodamus flying towards the brothers, and she was in the way. The elder tried moving out of his way, but it was too late. She, along with several of her sisters, were blown aside like bowling pins in the rampage of Anchodamus and were sent flying into the air, only to come tumbling down face first onto the hard ground below. Anchodamus flew straight into Anchorus and jabbed him in the gut with his powerful mechanical fist. Anchorus, was thrown back while Laureen, and Anchus in the process, were cast aside onto the ground, where they landed hard. The two were only able to catch a glimpse of the murderous machine as it zoomed by on it's hell bent mission. He dragged Anchorus to the ground, where he began delivering swift punch after punch to his torso. The bigger droid attempted to retaliate, only to be caught off guard by Anchodamus and his surprisingly agile attacks. Anchorus was too slow to react, and was beaten within an inch of his life by his murderous foe.
Behind the two skirmishing droids was Anchus, on the ground in a gaze, along with Laureen. They had both been flung aside from the blitzkrieg maneuver and were slow to recover. As they got up, they looked at eachother with similar expressions.
"Anchus! We have to do something! Poor Anchie is getting the snot kicked out of him."
"I'm well aware of that. But my poor brother can't anticipate Anchodamus or his moves. And even my vast intelligence is unable to predict what he'll do next. The fact that he's both me and my brother in one package, I calculate a very low chance of victory for us..."
He then looked at Laureen, and had a change in his voice.
"...unless... Laureen, though I hate to say it, it looks like we'll need your help..."
Back with the battling droids, Anchodamus continued speeding around Anchorus, delivering one attack after the other. Every time Anchorus threw a punch, Anchodamus disappeared and reappeared behind him, courtesy of his powerful thrusters, and swung at Anchorus without any intent of stopping. The big droid could not keep up, and was losing his vigor fast.
"Ugh... hold still, and let me punch you..."
"I think not. Maybe you shouldn't be so sluggish."
Just as Anchorus was about to take another punch from Anchodamus, likely a fatal one, he closd his eyes and braced himself for it... but suddenly, Anchodamus sustained a smashing blow to his side, sending him careening into the trees. Anchodamus turned his head to what hit him, only to find that it was Laureen herself, who had used her powerful tail to hit him. On her shoulder was Anchus, who rejoiced at seeing him thrown asunder.
"Ha! You didn't see that coming, did you?!"
Laureen quickly rushed to Anchorus and helped him up from his brutal beating.
"Oh, Anchie... are you okay? Did he hurt you?"
"Nah. He didn't do much damage. As long as you and Anchus are alright."
She hugged him tightly and blushed bright red from feeling his metal body As her tail coiled around him in joy. Anchus, in a change of pace, slightly cherished the reunion instead of being sickened by it.
"Meh. The important thing is that you're still functional, brother. And with the way Anchodamus was wiped out, I guess your fleshy friend, er, I mean Laureen, isn't... too bad after all. She's strong for a fleshie. I'll give her that..."
The naga girl turned toward Anchus and likewise showed a change of attitude.
"Well, thank you, Anchus. That's awfully nice of you to say."
Just as they were about to exchange smiles, they heard a powerful thrust being generated behind them. It was Anchodamus, and he was angry. He was airborne, with all four gauss chainguns pointed at the brothers and Laureen, along with his missiles, spike cannons and anything else he had stored away. The tone in his voice could not be more serious as he zoned in on his targets.
"ThAT's It! I DoN't CarE if thE FLEshiE DiEs In tHE ProCESs! I ShAll MURdER yoU AlL!!"
And with those words he opened fire on the three with every weapon in his arsenal, laughing maniacally in the process as every weapon on him spun and smoked with the fire of ammunition being expelled. Unfortunately for the brothers and Laureen, they were too close to evade... _________________ (98% of explorers have been eaten or will be eaten by a native creature in Felarya. | Well I think you really don't need to push yourself.. it's better to write a story when you are in the mood and feel like it I think
This chapter was nice, with good actions. Just the moment where Laureen sweep Anchodamus with her tail that seemed maybe a bit easy ^^; |

| Well, I wanted to show how angry she could get when somebody was attacking Anchorus.
And he is a bit of a lightweight in Felaryan standards. But I'm glad you enjoyed it. The next chapter may take some more time, but when it's finished, I guarantee it'll be top quality. _________________ (98% of explorers have been eaten or will be eaten by a native creature in Felarya. | Well, I wouldn't get ahead of it, but something caused him to malfunction alright. He isn't Mr. Sensible anymore. _________________ (98% of explorers have been eaten or will be eaten by a native creature in Felarya. If you're one of the 2% not in this group, copy & paste this in your signature.)

| Bit of a short chapter this time, but I hope it suffices.

Chapter Twenty- Five
The waves of bullets, gunfire, and random missiles from Anchodamus flew in terrifying waves of titanic proportions, which were headed straight for Anchus, Anchorus and Laureen, and since they were so close to him, the shots left them with little time to evade. They had to think fast or be fodder.
Without notice, however, Anchus and Laureen feel a large hand push them out of the way, and they were tossed to the side at a high velocity. They questioned who had pushed them, and turned to see who it was. Sadly, it was Anchorus, who had pushed them out of harm's way.
"I can take this assault, but I know you two can't. Get down........"
Before he could finish, sadly, he was impacted by the massive armaments of weapons. The bullets tore apart his armor, while the missiles and rocketry slammed into his hard drive components and destroyed every part of him. Even the synthetic skin on his face was ripped up, revealing his mechanical endoskeleton. The bombardment forced him so far back that he actually tumbled onto his back and crashed into the surrounding forest. It was there that he took the continued assault of Anchodamus...
Laureen cried a river of tears at what she saw Anchorus endure. She cried out his name in agony of seeing him take such punishment, while Anchus panicked at seeing his brother be torn apart all the same. Parts flew everywhere and smoke kicked up with dust, blinding Anchus and Laureen. Nonstop was the assault of weaponry that continued flying across the air, and Anchorus continued suffering the attacks. They were helpless as Anchodamus closed in on his target with his weaponry, and even the surrounding nagas, who had just recovered from the surprise attack, were helpless amidst the confusion.....
...
When the assault had come to a stop moments later, the smoke slowly dissipated, letting everyone behold what had happened. Laureen was the first to rush through it all to reach her beloved droid, surpassing Anchodamus by inches as she flew by. Anchus held on to her tail, hoping to see his brother as well, and hopefully still functioning. What they found, passed out on the floor, was horrifying, to say the least. It was Anchorus, or at least what was left of him. He had more holes in him than a factory of swiss cheese, each leaking out a flood of oil, coolant and any other fluid he had in his core. The poor droid couldn't even lift himself up to look at Anchus and Laureen, and his speech wasn't better off, as sparks shot off from his smoking mechanical corpse.
"Heh... crrrr... are you.. ccrrrrrrr.... okay guys? That was a terrib...ccrrrr...rrible attack."
Laureen tried using all her strength to lift him up and speak to him, holding back all of her torrents of teary sadness.
"Anchie... Please.... don't go. You can't die. Please!"
"He... crrr... I'm sorry it had to be this way.... crrrr..."
Anchus now approached his brother and assessed what he had sustained.
"Anchorus.... you big idiot. Why... why did you push us out of the way?!? WHY?! It's just not in our programming. We were never meant for self sacrifice..."
"I don't know, brother. I... crrrr... don't know why I did it... But... Now... crrr... please, go.... before he gets you... too..."
Then, behind them, the group heard the sound of a chaingun reload, and looked back to find Anchodamus with another round of clips ready to fire. He aimed at Anchus and began to fire. The tiny machine sprang out of the way, avoiding the hellfire of bullets and, after grabbing a weapon from his destroyed brother, started to run out of Anchodamus' range into the woods. The droids flew off into the forest, leaving a grieving Laureen back with Anchorus. Even in his struggles to remain online, the big guy somehow kept his composure.
"..uh..Laureen... I need you to... please.... help Anchus..."
"But... I'm not leaving you, Anchie... Look at you. You're close to dying... maybe I can help you. I can carry you to a safer place."
She then used every muscle in her figure to try and lift the big machine upward. Her body let forth a flood of sweat and tears as she tried to lift him off the oil stained grass. Her tail spasmed as every muscle in it assisted her. She even grinded her teeth, using any and all of her strength to pick him up. Sadly, she was unable to do so, and was barely able to hold him upright. She tried to drag him to safety, but unfortunately even that proved to be too arduous for her delicate body.
"...Unghh..... I can't lift you up, Anchie... It's... too heavy... I'm sorry."
"It isn't your fault, Laureen. Your body and cute tail are strong, but it's not enough to pick up over thirty metric tons of metal carcasse...."
She held him tightly and cried even more, and soon heard the nagas and her mother approach.
"What can I do? Please Anchie... tell me..."
"Please... help... my brother. He doesn't stand much chance versus Anchodamus. I'll be fine. My program entails me to fight to the death, and that's what I shall do. Don't you worry. Now please... evacuate the area......"
She refused to leave him at first, hearing her sisters draw close. She continued to try and protect him. However, she glanced into his eyes and saw something she had not seen before- a gaze of sincerity... one that made her feel different. A feeling that he wanted his brother safe.. it was the same feeling she had when she wanted Anchorus to be safe. It got through to her and made her change her mind. Laureen stood up on her tail and started to slither away. She stared back once more and shed a few more tears.
"........ Okay... I'll help out your brother. Just be careful, Anchie. Don't die on me..."
"I will. Heh....."
Sparks continued shooting out of his body as the elder and her nagas came within visual range. As Laureen turned around to slither off after the two battling droids, she went up to Anchorus and kissed him sensually.
"I love you, Anchie..."
She then ran off, just as Anchorus had asked, and went off towards the droids in the woods. The elder, just barely missing her, ordered half of all her tribe to scour the forest to look for her. The elder then scowled at Anchorus on the floor and took a large spear from one of her guards, placing it at his neck and gritting her teeth in anger.
"You.... you metal bastard! Where is my daughter going?! Tell me!"
"Heh... you want me to tell you? So you can cause her grief with your overprotective and insane mother instincts? Not likely...."
She held the spear even closer now, threatening to lob his entire head off if he did not talk.
"TELL ME WHERE SHE IS! If you value your life!"
"Maybe I do value my life... but I value Laureen more. So no dice, you old hag."
With anger the elder tried to kill him right there and then, but her senses suddenly came to her, holding back her spear at the last second.
"Damnit... I want to kill him.... but if I do, Laureen may not come back. She would be lost forever... and I can't risk the possibility of my guards not being able to find her..... I guess... I guess I'll have to keep him alive until she returns. It's my only option. He shall act as bait..."
She thus sat there with a spear to Anchorus' throat, contemplating what she would do.... _________________ (98% of explorers have been eaten or will be eaten by a native creature in Felarya. If you're one of the 2% not in this group, copy & paste this in your signature.)
