Common Misuse of a Term

Now, this problem isn't a result of anyone's bad English. It's done by pretty much everyone in the English-speaking world.

The term "dimension" is used numerous times to refer to a different world. This is a pet-peeve of mine, and it's very commonly done. Any physicist or mathmetician knows that a dimension consists of two directions and does not apply to an entire world.

I suggest the term "world" or "universe" be used instead. Preferably "world", or maybe "realm", since no one really knows whether the fabric of spacetime, even in Felarya canon, is uni- or multiversed. There are numerous theories, really.

I know this is mostly me just being a stiff. But if someone addressed the problem, I'd truly appreciate it. And don't worry, I'm not insulting anyone: it's a very, very, VERY common sci-fi mistake.

I prefer "plane" myself.

I'm thinking "trans-universal" or "inter-universal" over "inter-dimensional".

That's why I no longer used the term "dimension" to refer to other worlds. I use "world", "universe" and "realm" in the case I'm talking of different worlds.

As do I. I personally prefer "world", myself.

Well, my point in making this was to suggest a change within the wiki. I admit that it's not a glaring error, just a little something that annoys me slightly whenever I'm reading it.
