| I think there was a thread like this, but it diiiieeed. Here's what we're going to do. We're going to post a link (or two) to a song (or two) that we like and want to share. Put the link, name and band/singer/vocaloid, and a brief description down of what you enjoy about the song. The next person down could either say what the liked about the song and rate it from 1 to 10, or just rate it.
Franz Ferdinand, Take me Out I'm not a big fan of Ferdinand, honestly, probably because every friend's car I went into a year ago was either playing them or Soulja Boy on repeat. But I love this song because of the instrumentals, and the lyrics are okay too. My favorite part begins at 0:53

| Rush: Limelight An excellent song about sociology's dramaturgical theory. Also, Rush is an awesome band. I advise checking out a lot of their songs. Anti-socialism and potent philosophy abound. He does a few songs that question religion and faith, like "Roll the Bones" and "Freewill", but I usually let it slide...
Demon Hunter: Carry Me Down One line from this song, "save sorrow for the souls in doubt", I want on my tombstone. DH is a really good Christian metal band, though this song is definitely one of their softer ones. Even if you're not Christian, I advise at least listening to them a bit.

| Emerald Sword ~ Rhapsody (of Fire). It's a symphonic metal song part of the Symphony of Enchanted Lands saga that Rhapsody (of Fire) tells via song.
I Can't Decide ~ Scissor Sisters Just like the song. Helps that it's featured in an episode of Dr. Who.
EDIT: Rush I give a 8/10 for decent lyrics (though the music didn't quite stick to me), 6/10 for Carry Me Down (but then that's not quite the style of music I enjoy).

| Lilium - Kumiko Noma The opening theme for Elfen Lied and sung completely in Ecclesiastical Latin. I really like her singing voice and I also like the lyrics, which I like enough to memorise the whole thing song in both English and Latin. My favourite bit starts at about 0:43.
Edit: Sorry, I'm a bit tired ^^;
Emerald sword I give a 7/10. got a very nice riff, and reminds me a bit of Dragonforce. I dislike Scissor Sisters, so I wont rate that.

And here I was thinking we had so much in common... Well, actually, technically it is the 'type' of music I enjoy (Metal), just not the same sub-type (I'm more into stuff like this).

Well, like I said, DH usually does heavier stuff than "Carry Me Down". In a couple songs, they kind of experimented with the softer side of metal. I have a wide array of tastes, so I don't mind.

| Where I end and you begin-Radiohead
I've always liked this song, in some cases it has represented some the realtionships I've had with so called friends. Needless to say they didn't have a happy ending.
Sonne-Rammstein
Up front and uncompromising, great song to listen to when at the gym or cycling I find.
Climbing up the Walls-Radiohead
I find this song and I are quite alike.

| Topic revival!
Of the three, I like Sonne best, so that gets an 8/10. Radiohead isn't my thing, but I'll give both a 6/10.
Smooth Criminal - Alien Ant Farm A cover of Michael Jackson's song, and is almost as good as the original. The change in the song's genre to rock is what sets it apart though.

| 8/10- the riff is awesome and the vocals are really nice I might have heard it before. Welcome Home (Sanitarium) - Metallica Sorry about the 6 minutes, the lyrics are cool and it's a nice slow song up until 3:45 | |
