I realise that I was going about it the wrong way.
I do plan to revive the Felarya Flash project again, but it's not going to be in the form of a flash wiki.

So, I'm considering reincarnating this.
However I'm not going to do a wiki, instead I thought that I'd take the most popular part of the previous project, the unofficial character section and run with that, making a Felarya Flash Character database.

This database would include the following features:

• Browse characters by alphabetical name
  
• Browse by species
  
• Browse by characterisation tag (eg; "blonde" would list all the characters with blonde hair, "sexy" would list all the characters described as sexy).
  

Once the above had been implemented, an overarching search function.
When designing this I wouldn't use the same size as the Flash wiki, it was too small and hard to use. The dimensions were too restricting.

I'd also be coding this in Actionscript 3. (The Flash wiki was coded in actionscript 2).
What this means is I can apply CSS to text and load text and images much more efficiently.
The upshot of that is everything looks really pretty, loads faster and is generally better.

Anywaym the idea of this database is basically the RRR program, since Stabs said the flash wiki would have done the same thing, I'll' make something that does the same thing as the unofficial character, but better, if enough people show interest.

With a bit of testing, I have confirmed that Actionscript 3 can load text from deviantART.
This means I can get character profiles directly, and therefore any updates. This renders the issue of updating the database null and void!

As a way to resurrect the project and help people to know the unofficial characters that already exist, I think it's a neat idea. I'm looking forward to more people joining this.

I can't add people's characters without their permission and they can't give their permission without knowing about this.

Dammit, if only I'd majored in software-y stuff instead of hardware. Oh well, I may be able to find some guys who can help. Maybe.

Also, if we do start putting in characters that aren't completely canon, we'll need to appoint certain people that decide what counts as "semi-canon" (a term I use for content that is recognized and accepted, but not true canon. Most Felarya stories fall into this category, I think).

There are other ways of course. It's just that so many people use dA that I thought it'd be useful if I could load it from there.

Coding takes a lot of time, and revising it is really hard. Though if you beta test it, it will be easier to see where errors in your code are, so you don't have to go-over the all 10,000 lines of code to find the errors.

This is also part of the Felayra Flash since it is flash and it's about Felarya.

I may commit the FLA files for it to subversion at some point.
