Mess in the fauna credis >>

So far I have been a bit messy/lazy giving credits to people for fauna creatures in the wiki, using essentially a group credit >> ( http://felarya.com/wiki/index.php?title=Fauna )

I'm attempting to correct that mistake, so everyone get full credits for what they have contributed to.
Here is what I think is the propert list.
However, as you may have noticed, this forum have an aboslutely TERRIBLE search engine, that is basically completely useless ><
So there is a few ideas where I have lost track off the author somehow...

Also as you may have noticed with the new version of the disclaimer : https://felarya.forumotion.com/new-ideas-f2/disclaimer-updated-t1452.htm , I'm making a general assessment of the Felarya wiki, essentially asking every people who have contributed a non-character idea if they wish to have it fully integrated into the universe, or if they wish to retain ownership of it.
This will be a loong task but one I feel is essential to avoid future problems

And I'm currently working on a big guideline post, I should have it up soon ^_^

Also I believe I have now checked through every person who contributed to the wiki on the question of integrating ideas. If I have forgotten you, please let me know !

well I didn't come up with them, but if no body wants credit for the idea I'll take! XDDD

Opal Mingos added May 13th 2008, along with a lot of Jewel River stuff.
You didn't add anyone to the credits at that time, so presumably the creator was someone who was already credited, IE: one of these people: "Credits to Wolf98456, Randomdude, Militant prey, Gregole, Zoekin, Pendragon, Moonlight pendent, Servomoore, Nksrocks, Shaman, Veeshan123, Rythmear, Icalasari, Silenteric, Wowandwas, and Tifalover88 for various ideas for the fauna" (Edit: Hah, I was right, one of the listed people (Icalasari) was the creator!)


Edit: Found creator of Opal Mingo. https://felarya.forumotion.com/new-ideas-f2/my-ideas-exlcuding-planatas-t137-15.htm look for "Magic Fly". You changed some words but Icalasari came up with them. There appears to have been a four month delay from the posting of the idea to it getting into the wiki, which might help find the next one.



Jaykay birds:
Couldn't find a post describing anything similar to how they are listed in the wiki.

What I have found:

This is the diff from when you added the JayKay birds (December 16th 2007).
You added them at the same time you added the Escalnai Slugs, and in that same revision you added the line "Credits to Militant prey and Nksrocks for various ideas for the fauna.".

Millitant prey is "Siafu789" on this site, and Nksrocks is Nksrocks.

Using Google to search the forum for some of the specific words or word pairs that are in the JayKay's description on the wiki did not turn up any viable results. Using Google to search their Deviant art pages (Millitant Prey's single account and both of Nksrocks's accounts) did not turn up any viable results. Using DA's built in search on the accounts also did not turn up any viable results.

When you added the credits line to that Fauna page, there were already things on it, so we cannot conclude that either Nksrocks or Millitant Prey created the JayKay, because you could have been giving them credit for some of the previously added fauna.

With the Opal Mingo's, there was a four month delay between the idea being posted and the them appearing in the wiki. Assuming that this is an average length of time for a delay, I hypothesize that the original JayKay idea was posted around August 16th 2007, although it could be essentially any time on or before December 16th 2007.

Conclusion: Ask Nksrocks and Millitant Prey if they remember sending you a private message or talking in the chat about the JayKay brids, or a creature that shares some of their attributes.



Edit: I rock, though I was way off on the estimated time. The actual time from idea to wiki was about three days.
