Yeah. Whale sharks are 16 meters usually, while Paedocypris can get as small as 7.9mm

Fish definitely have a big variation in size.

For snakes, anacondas and boas can get as big as 7.6 meters (15 meters for extinct relatives), while the threadsnake can be only 10cm big.

The largest spider by leg span, the giant huntsman, has a 30 cm leg span and 4.6 cm body width. Estimates for the smallest spider range down to a body size of .37mm.

The largest bird is the ostrich at 2.7m. The bee hummingbird has only a body length of 5cm.

The komodo dragon lizard ranges around 3.13m. The smallest lizards are certain geckos that only get 16mm big.

Tauric species based off of these species, thus, might have very wide range of sizes. But other species, like certain mammalian predators, I'd be less certain about having wide ranges.

Just something to be noted in various species.

If I might add anything into this I think the variation between terrestrial animal size ranges and those of aquatic animals is directly attributable to their habitats. On land, even the largest of animals are dwarfed by large sea creatures. I am unable to find the words to properly describe the factors that cause this but long story short things in the sea are able to be larger due to the water. Although in Felarya I think this argument is invalidated already because if we were using anything akin to realistic physics here something on the scale of a giant naga living upon land would literally die beneath it's own weight. Felarya in itself just allows for even further variation to a degree.

Another creature that vaires greatly in size would be squid.

Yep. There's lots of room for larger and smaller versions of our favorite taurs.

I remember that one. That was rather cute. Smile

Globfish's stories also include tiny mermaids, who fall prey to human-sized mermaids. (And I included some tiny ones in Felarya Park, entertaining visitors in a network of tanks and transparent tunnels.) More than any other species, I think it makes sense for mermaids to range from tiny to giant.

I think I'll have to check those stories out. They sound really interesting. I might even write a story about my Tetra mermaids too.

You must remember that mermaids of legend are human-sized.

Indeed. Please don't necro-post, Bethel.

Locked.
