Usually half the size of a human, these half-mite tauric creatures are not true Dridders, but tend to be classified with them regardless. Being short, colorful and fuzzy, Tetranins are generally seen as harmless and enjoy a better public image than their spidery cousins tend to gather.
Tetranins are very widespread, if seldom noticed, and have adapted for far more environments than Dridders, from jungles to deserts to the icy mountains. More commonly, thought, they can be seen riding on the bodies of far larger creatures, serving as little clean-up crews that eat parasites and dead skin in exchange for a measure of protection. Other species prefer to feed on small insects, others on plant juices and fruit, and at least one is known to burrow through skin and gorge on blood.
They are in general a very social and friendly race, constantly playing and goofing around each other. Unlike Dridders or Scorpisaïs, they are absolutely defenseles and will avoid or flee any sort of conflict at the first chance they get. They get along really well with Gerridis, and are known to form small communities alongside them, on them.
