The neko was quiet as he listened to what Nagi had to say, his tail slightly flickening as his ears were turned forward in interest. "Oh, I see. I have to say, that one place sounds very interesting! I'll have to take you up on your offer to take me there sometime." he said, thinking to himself for a moment as he said, "Hm...Shooting Starbolt...not sure if I've heard of it or not but I'll be sure to stop by and visit. Friends do have to keep in touch after all, right?"

Unconsiously, Horamus was leaning towards Nagi's scratching his ear, a quiet purr starting to rumble from his throat as he let out a wistful sigh, the scratch he was receiving feeling very good to him.

Nagi laughed. "I swear, you nekos remind me more of cats every day," he managed to get out between laughs.

Nagi pulled the metal band that was under his hair down above his eyes. He placed two fingers on a spot on the right of it and a somewhat orange screen came down in front of his eyes. As he slid his fingers across the bar, the screen came to life, displaying random windows in an alien language. He flipped through several screens without any noticable movement, until a large, complex screen appeared. With a quick movement of his right hand, he brought up a large, incomplete, 3-D map of Negav. Several points were on the map. One was where he was right then, one was Horamus's house, one was a room deep underground, and one he pointed at that was near one of Negav's gates.

"It's right there. CV never closes up, so drop by anytime," he said, turning off the map.

Not too far from of Samiel, Nina値are was walking around the market in her maid clothes, browsing through the different shops. She had gotten an 3 days vacation for her hard work and was spending some time looking through the many markets of Negav for anything pretty, amusing or interesting, be it food, drinks, trinkets or whatever. Money was not something she lacked and it seemed to have caught the attention of some ruffians.

"Excuse me miss" A rather muscular elf said, while Nina値are was looking at some rings, bracelets and other trinkets. "What might a maid such as yourself, be doing here at this time?" Were the elf alone, his tone could very well be taken as him trying to be helpful. Unfortunally, the 6 other elfes behind him, also looking at Nina値are, revealed the truth quite clearly.

Nina値are quite aware of the fact that they were trying to rob her, didn't really care, and apart from a quick glance, never looked at them. "I am simply doing some shopping on my days off" She anwsered politely.

"Hey lady" One of the other elfes said. "You should look at people when you're talking to them" the elf stated as he reached for her wrist.

Samiel watched the scene unfolding in front of him.

Beside the elf that grasped the maid's wrist (why was a maid shopping down here at this time of night?) more started to crowd around her. They obviously intended to rob her, with probably more unsavory deeds planned as well. Damn elves. From the look of them, they were bored rich kids from the District - doubtlessly with a self-inflated sense of entitlement to do whatever they wanted to "lesser" races.

But things didn't work like that in the Underground.

"Greetings, pricks!" he said cheerfully, hailing them as he approached. They spun on him, anger evident in their eyes. They drew very elaborate dueling knives from their coats. Samiel laughed and drew his gun.

"Come on, rush me." he said. "I'm sure I'll only be able to blow away maybe a half... two-thirds of you maybe... before you reach me. I wonder who will get the bullets in their heads? Maybe you... or you? Come on, those seem like good odds."

To show he was serious, he shot one of the knives out of one the elf's hand. They all looked uncertain. Then their leader gave a dismissive noise and waved for them to follow and they vanished into the shadows.

He sighed and shrugged. Would have liked some elf blood. But he'd had enough trouble today. And at least the maid wasn't hurt. Rather a pretty thing. He wished he got to rescue her sort from criminals more often.

"You alright, miss?" he asked casually.

Nina値are looked at Samiel with a smile that revealed her fangs. "Thank you, I am quite fine" she said with her usual polite and elegant tone and curtsied. "But while your help is very appreciated, you didn't need to waste that bullet, mister vampire" Nina値are turned around and quickly apologized to the shopkeeper for the ruckus and then turned back to Samiel. "Tell me, how much did that bullet cost, and i will gladly repay you"

Samiel looked with interest at her fangs.

"A smile from a girl with such pretty teeth is more than enough to cover the cost of the lead." he said. True, they were not proper vampire fangs like his, but pretty good all around.

Meeting such a polite lady after having to deal with ISD, thugs and Nagi all night was refreshing.

"Though you should be careful going shopping at such a late hour in the underground... why exactly are you doing that, anyways?"

Nina値are curtsied again when Samiel said, that seeing her teeth was payment enough for the bullet. "I was just looking over the different goods being sold at his market, during my days off. They sell some interesting things down here" She said, taking a little figurine of a snow white cat on a chain, out from her handbag. "Like this" She held it out in front of her. "It supposedly becomes darker or brighter depending on how evil your thoughts are at the moment" Nina値are smiled and spun the figurine with her index finger once, before putting it back into the handbag.

She looked a little worried at Samiel. "I am aware that you said my smile was payment enough, but i would feel bad if i didn't do something to repay you. how about a drink or a meal?" She said politely but firmly, making it obvious that she wouldn't take no for an answer.

Samiel paused for a moment. He did have to be getting back with his stuff. On the other hand...

"Sure." he said finally. "I don't think you'll let me say no anyways. And I could use a break."

"Great" Nina値are said with a smile. "Is there a place nearby that offers anything you like?" She was quite happy to be able to repay Samiel.

"Oh, before i forget. My name is Nina値are, Katarina, Ydri値ana, Henatina, Peluma地ira, Jones. but you may call me Nina'lare or simply Nina if you so prefer" She said while she curtsied once again.

Ah. I'm Samiel. Just Samiel." he replied. He looked around. "Well, in the Lower Market itself there's a nice little place further down that sells pieces of fried Glouteux for pretty cheap."

He gestured down the large passage.

"Nice to see you finding what you want, but the lower parts of Negav can be dangerous after dark." he said as they walked. "You even get thugs coming up from the Pit to cause trouble. And the police don't have as big a presence down here."

"Thank you for worrying about me, but there really is no need. Those were not the first thugs I've encountered tonight. I am quite capable of protecting myself i assure you" Nina値are said politely when Samiel finished. Thinking back to Samiel suggesting they get some fried glouteux, she looked worried at him again. "I am very sorry to ask, but i do not know a lot about vampires. Don't you drink blood for sustenance?"

"Ah... we need to drink blood." said Samiel vaguely. "We can eat regular food, but we don't get much out of it. Vampires heal faster, but that also means that food lasts us for less time. Only blood can give lasting sustenance. But eating food, especially meat, can take the "edge" off the blood craving."

They arrived at the restaurant, the smell of friend bird heavy in the air.

This seems like fun Smile
Spoiler:

Masurao walked through the somewhat crowded street of Negav with Shiro right beside him. "I never thought there'd be a place lik ethis in thiss world." He commented as his eyes trailed from one person to the next. "Regarding where we first ended up after that fog, you'd think that this place was only full of monsters like the one we met before."

Shiro barked in agreement. "Well," Masurao continued, "at least were safe now."

Suudenly, Masurao's keen sense of smell picked up something that smelt extremely delicious. A smile appeared on his face, and he grinned. "Hey Shiro, smell that?" Shiro barked happily. "Yeah, it smells delicious, doesn't it! We haven't eaten ever since we got here. Shiro! Let's go!"

With that, Masurao and Shiro bolted toward the source of the smell. Within a minute or so, they reached a restaurant of sorts. "This is the place alright." With that, Masurao entered. "Shiro, wait outside. I'll ask if you can come in, alright boy?"

Shiro sat, deciding to wait patiently for his master to return. Masurao walked up to what seemed to be the main desk where he could wait to be seated. Heavenly aromas filled his nose, causing him to salivate in anticipation of eating the delicious food here.

"That is not for you to decied sargent. There was a reason why you and others were dismissed from the ISD when the Metropolitan Security Division was dissolved; we can't go around arbitrarily killing people just because they look funny! Be realistic here."

"Sir he has shown himself to be a threat to the stability of the city,"

"And so are you if you look at how you have been acting!"

"With all due respect Colonel he is an anarchist no better.."

"Enough Loche, just because the little bastard committed an act of vandalism, broke into maintanence duct then destroyed a decoy monitoring device are hardly crimes that befit execution, not in this day and age."

"Am I the only one in Public Security to sees this man to be a threat? I even have the backinbg of Inspector Malicat!"

"My decision stands Sargent, apprend him for questioning if you want, I will grant you use of Squad Four for the Second Assault Platoon lead by Battle mage Sargent Annya Fox, on site you are incharge, however you will report back to me; no executions. You're lucky that Neko you had shot was indeed a slaver."

"Sir I understand, but if he becomes a threat to my men I will order them to open fire without mercy."

"Yes, however do take caution there are civilians in the area. Try and lure the target into the open, if he does resist you have permission to use leathal force as dicated by the rules of engagment. Dismissed."

"Sir."

Hue saluted as the Colonel exited his office; while not what he hoped for it was the next best thing. Prehaps the Colonel was right, maybe Hue was too set in the old MSD mindset. No; shaking his head to remove his self doubt Hue reminded himself that it was the MSD that was the backbone of the Investigators. He stared at the rifle which lent against the marble wall of his office, it was an old Vishmital V-20MA 20mm single shot bolt action anti material rifle, on Felarya such weapons were used against Predators however it was an excellent one shot kill weapon when used against humanoid targets. The high velocity heavy projectile able to smash through all but the strongest of personal magical shielding, yes this would be Hue's weapon of choice for this mission. Hue picked up the heavy weapon as he left his office, the light turning off automatically as he walked out towards the barracks.

Nagi got up and walked around. He had the strangest feeling that guy he saw at the bar had it out for him, not that it surprised him. He just couldn't shake the feeling that he shouldn't remain in one place for long.

"Horamus, I trust you enough to give you this," Nagi said, tossing a small box onto his lap. "You can call me with that. It only works between me," he said, motioning to his head band that still had the screen down, "and the others I've given out. You can call CV, Katena, and anyone else I trust with it. I'm going out. I may not be back for a while, or at all, so give me a call if you want to meet up. It uses its own signaling technology, so unless someone else hacks into an extra dimentional band and finds it, it's totally secure. Well, I'll be seeing ya," Nagi hastily said, opening the door. "Tell Samiel I'm sorry for any trouble I caused him and I'll see him later," he said over his shoulder as he walked out and closed the door.

Nagi walked through the underground quickly, turning every so often to go in his desired direction. After a few minutes, he was above ground in the higher tier. He jumped up a few small buildings and boxes before landing on top of one of the buildings. He planned his next move out while there and then moved out. He needed to let this blow over and he knew just the place to go.

Masurao walked out of the restaurant, carrying a brown paper bag of food. "Sorry, Shiro. They don't allow pets. I'm not going to eat in there without you."

Shiro got up on all fours, wagging his tail as he panted, happy to see Masurao return. Masurao placed the bag in his backpack, and then hopped onto Shiro's back. "Come on, Shiro. Let's find a quiet place to eat.

Shiro barked, and then took off. Although this sort of thing was normal back in Konohakagure, the people in Negav could not help but stare at the strange scene of a young man riding a large wolf as if it were a miniature horse.

Samiel ate his fried Glouteux with the pretty maid. It was usually uncommon to get to eat big Felaryan fauna in Negav - most were more interested in eating you. But Glouteux were usually very easy to hunt, being incredibly stupid. You could even hunt them yourself near the edge of the Isolon Eye field - someone clever had dug a spiked pit. People would go to get a view of the Glouteux, the Glouteux would try to eat the wildlife tourists and then, splat, some prime Glouteux wings.

He idly wondered at this train of thought. He met some rather Goulteuxy individuals in this city. The city was like a spike trap that you were supposed to carefully navigate. Run right at it and... well... splat.

He finished the food very quickly.

"Thanks for the meal." he said. "I'm afraid I have to go back to my apartment now... I have some guests that are assumably waiting on me..."

Samiel waved casually.

"Oh, its no problem." he replied. "I'm less worried about them being offended than... one of them in particular... getting into trouble."

He paused.

"Say, where exactly do you live? My apartments this way..." he said, gesturing down a side tunnel. "And if where you live is in that direction I can escort you to an exit along the ways. Faster than taking the main exit. Less safe too... if you weren't with me, that is."

Nina'lare smiled happily "I am currently living in the higher tier, but due to my employer i can't go into any more details I'm afraid" She said in her usual polite manner. "But i will remain at the market for a bit longer. There might still be something interesting in the stores i have yet to checked"

She reached into her hand bag to grab a small hand bell, handing it over to Samiel. "Ring it 5 times if you ever want to contact me, and don't be afraid to ring even if it's because you need blood" She said with a slight giggle.

Nagi jumped from one building to the next one. As he did, he thought back to his gift he left to Horamus. He had left a headset and a small box that controlled and it had twelve switches. He had left a note in it that explained how it worked.

"If I gave you this, I trust you. You can use this to contact me. You have number 8. To turn it on, flip the switch that has your numbered switch on. To talk to me, flip number one on as well as your number. CV is two, use him to find the number for everyone else. You can talk to more than one person just by turning on more of the switches. Call CV if you have any questions. I'll contact you when I get a chance."

"Oh, um...well, goodbye then! It's been a pleasure!" Horamus had said, having stood up so that he could give Nagi a proper farewell as he had left. Now, he was looking over the note that Nagi had left with the contraption, going over that information along with the location of the Shooting Starbolt in his head for a moment before placing the small box and the headset in one of his pockets, taking a moment to look around the place, not having had a chance to look around.

His thoughts then drifted as to what he should do now. A pondering thought told him that he should probably lock the place up and leave a note, but he considered that to be a rather rude thing to do. Besides,he was assuming that Samiel would bring back fruit like he asked him to, and he didn't want to have him bring that fruit over for nothing. And so, he stayed, sitting down in a chair and reading the book that he had been given, finding himself lost within it's pages within the first few minutes.

"Here it is. The best source of knowledge and best hiding spot in the city," Nagi thought to himself as he stood in front of the biggest (and only, to his knowledge) library in Negav.

As he walked in, he noded towards the librarian behind the counter. She gave a nod back and he continued towards the "back". If it were just about anyone else, she would have taken his sword while he was in the library, but she knew he wanted to go into the more wild and dangerous areas, and the gardians knew you needed all the protection you could get back there.

Nagi walked quickly and carefully to a spot he knew would prove useful. To keep things from moving the spot, he had put a seal around the bookcase and then nailed it to the ground. Once he had gotten to the bookcase, he wave one hand to open the barrier. It closed instantly after he entered it, and he picked up a large old book. It was titled "Laws, Rules, and Their Loopholes in Negav". Nagi loved this book, it had gotten him out of countless troubles and, what was no doubt an enchantment upon the book, it self updated. He wanted to find the author and give him his blessing, but he had died some 500 years ago. Regardless, it was still a treasure to Nagi, and the only reason he hadn't either stolen it, bought it, or checked it out was that he was afraid someone else would find and destroy it, and he rather liked it not destroyed.

He opened it up and began searching for the sections that covered his current police problems.

( I'll hope you'll all excuse me, but I have been following this roleplay because I think it's interesting.
I feel compelled to point out to Sparky that the book his character has just attained is a deus ex machina.
In addition to that, in the 'back' of the library it's is almost impossible to find a book in the same location twice due to the shelves moving.
