| I'm sure most of you have already heard of this, but if you're going to recommend a new character to Felarya, I recommend you check with this first:

http://www.onlyfiction.net/marysue.html Thank you very much. I really must use this test-I think my characters are a bit whack.

| Mika wound up with 19. A Non-Sue. The insanity and willingness to kill helped. | |

| I did mine for Sen, but it got tricky with the abilities 'cause there would be a non-felaryan and a felaryan Sen (I'd still wanna use him for an original story of my own. And Felarya is no stranger to the supernatural. Heheh. ^^; )
Non Felaryan - 22 (Ee, I might wanna re work some things for this story)
Felaryan - 11 (In the clear -phew-)

| Curses.
Mine is kind of a borderline sue. He's still a good OC, though.

| I did the test for the only character I have written down that's fleshed out enough (although she's not Felaryan) to be able to answer this test, but I found too many of the questions were on things I hadn't finished writing yet... so much so that "Ibiris" has a score anywhere between 1 and 20! Still, it was amusing to go through the list and see just about every cliche in the book on that list. | |

| For my characters - none of them related to Felarya... just characters of mine xD -, they don't go any further than 20, thus I can breath deeply and safely... for now. ;P | |

| Umbrella Man is not Mary Sue - good thing to or he'd absorb the creators. | |

| Interesting.
It's funny how the Mary-Sue test is quite impossible for most characters.

| Honestly the Mary-Sue test doesn't account for story context, so it's a bit misleading. For instance, if your story had everyone able to use magic + super strength, and yours did too, why be penalized for that? Although in such a story, someone without said abilities might be more interesting depending on the plot. | |

| Read this article I think it will help you to understand how to create you character:D http://firefox.org/news/articles/651/1/The-Original-Mary-Sue-Litmus-Test/Page1.html I quote this sentence: "Not everything your character does can be perfect and good. Humans don't work that way. We say stupid things sometimes, and get wrapped up in ourselves, and we step on the feelings of other people whether we mean to or not, and we laugh at dumb jokes, and we smell bad when we sweat, and we drool on our pillows." I think it's clear

| Well, Ryla got a 27. That puts her at 'borderline sue'. Frankly, I'm not gonna take it to heart. Almost all of those issues regard the fact that I modelled her character in a way relevent to my interests. How is it a bad thing that I gave her interests similar to my own? Some of the most fun and creative characters out there are modelled partially after their creators.
That, and I agree with the notion that if everyone in the franchise has superpowers, it's ridiculous to penalize your own character for also having them. Ryla's power level is firmly balanced by her surroundings, and if this quiz doesn't consider that, then I choose to disregard it.
