So, you know what, lets name it "drache"

Race: Drache

Appearance: The race of Drache takes after dragons, having their tails, horns, wings, scales, and possibly claws. Scales generally are located around dragon like features. Their size varies from giant to tiny and all sizes prefer to be carnivorous. They come in two main variants:

The Long Drache; generally this variant does not have wings but are much stronger in magic, their scales also have a soft fur lining with them giving them a more kind and soft appearance. They are normally taller then the other variant by a few feet at human size giving them an height of normally 6-8 feet. This variant creates magic into a solid form within their stomachs, much like a pearl, that can grant a novice caster the power to cast like a archmage, though the pearl is destroyed in the process of casting the spell as its magical ablity is used up. Rumors say that gaint versions have pearls that do not crumble after being used. They are know to be more friendly toward all other Longs, and their friends are accepted as their own friends almost right way, giving them more interaction with other races.

The Ryu Drache: This variant normally have two powerful wings, granting them flight, larger versions are know to be able to create hurricane force winds at a full strength flap of their wings.  These two groups are divided among themselves over color, and are very raciest toward other colors, they divide along chromatic, and metallic. Chromatics, they refer to their scale color as a colors and are generally quite violent, most their interactions with other races are with being employed as mercs, killing as bandits, and high profile assassinations, or short encounters of drinking festables in which they openly invite other races to join them in, though it is highly advisable to decline since the parties noramly have bloodshed. Metallics, refer to their color as some form of metal and are more kind in nature, helping others where they can, they could be found acting as guards for tiny villages, to where even giants guarding caravans as they travel though the lands of Felarya. Though not as violent, they are just as skilled fighters, few of them well set up small temporary dojos to teach others how to fight, the combat abilities these Dojos teach are much sought after, being sword play to magic casting. Teaching other races is a taboo in their culture, and most times Dojos end in violence when discovered. The Metallic and Chromatic have been know to drop everything to engage each other in combat, normally ending in the death of at least one of the two.

I was thinking of calling them the "Thrakena", but maybe we can have the two be related. Because dragons and all.
