Real trees actually communicate with each other over long distances via connections in the ground. It's not psychic powers; it's fungi.

Obviously "Plants VS Zombies" and Ron hacks of Super Mario world where the Piranha Plant is the star. =P

Heheheh, I learned about that from a Game Theory video. Turns out that plant internet can also be used to kill off unwanted plants that encroach on a plant's domain. So here are the big questions:

1) Can dryads use their network to effect the plants around them?

2) I haven't seen many dryads living in close quarters together. I feel like it would be difficult for both dryads to get enough food to survive if they lived close enough that their hunting ranges intertwined. After all, it's difficult for them to move around. So do older dryads kill off younger dryads that are just starting to take root?

3) Is there a form of giant felarian mushroom that can infect and take over a human sized host? Eventually killing the host in the process?
