| PROMETHEUS: An upstart mercenary company operating in Felarya. The whereabouts of their HQ is currently unknown. - Mag:
Gender: Female Race: Human Weapon: "Bottomless Glass" - Custom energy weapon with an experimental "Mag-netic" coil to provide limitless dispensation of lightning. Bio: In her early life, Mag tinkered often. In her town, she quickly became known for her ability to fix seemingly anything, be it a ring or a rifle. Such skills are quite useful, and as such PROMETHEUS tracked her down and hired her. At the beginning of her career, she was never meant to see combat. However, as more and more mercenaries returned with damaged weapons, she decided to take the field herself to protect her "masterpieces of engineering from [censored]".
- David:
Gender: Male Race: AI Housing: Standard Military Frame Weapon: "Goliath" - A "walking tank" form manually piloted construct stolen from Project: Buddy System when David escaped. Uses an absurdly large war hammer. Bio: Unit D-47 was produced for military service within PROMETEUS, but escaped in an "Olympian" Construct. Soon after, he resurfaced performing mercenary jobs privately. He was cordially invited to rejoin with human status: an offer which he did not refuse.
The Sentinels of the Misty Glade: The Misty Glade is a dangerous place already. But in order to protect its secrets from adventurers, the mist calls upon its Sentinels. They are eight. And they are loyal. - Atria:
Gender: Female Race: Deerataur Height: 115' (127', counting antlers) Skin Color: Fair Hair Color: Plum Eye Color: Fuchsia Other Characteristcs: Has a strange purplish moss growing on her antlers, and violet tribal tattoos covering her upper half. Both glow magenta when she uses magic. Predation: Opportunistic Food Category: 3-14 "You learn the forest's secrets. You keep the forest's secrets. You lie awake at night, horrified by the forest's secrets." Bio: Atria has lived in the Misty Glade for as long as she can remember. And ever since she took her first breath, she's known why. Atria is a Sentinel of the Glade. A duty that should not be taken lightly... and cannot be refused. Eight in total, there are. Never more. Never less. They have but a single mission: do not allow the forest's secrets to escape.
- Luumi:
Gender: Female Race: River Naga Height (Head to Ground): 84' Length (Head to Tail): 214' Skin Color: Pale Magenta Top Scale Color: Obsidian Black Belly Scale Color: Pale Blue Hair Color: White Eye Color: Blue-Purple Other Characteristics: Known to hang from trees by her tail. Predation: Specialized Food Category: 1'-9' "There's a reason I care about the duty this forest have given me. Free food." Bio: A river naga twisted by the Misty Glade at a young age, Luumi emerged from the mist as one of the forest's most dangerous and voracious Sentinels. There are eight Sentinels, never more or less. But running into Luumi drastically decreases your chances of ever seeing the other seven.
(Author's Note: Above is my "less traditional" attempt at originality. If it seems too much for Felarya, simply let me know. I am more than willing to wipe it. Below are my "more traditional" characters. Of course, feel free to point out any problems with them. I always look forward to improving my storytelling. ) - Laz:
Gender: Male Race: Inu Height: 6' 3" Fur Color: Orange-Brown Skin Color: Beige Hair Color: Orange-Brown Eye Color: Brown Other Characteristics: Insists that he does not like being pet, and that his tail is wagging for no reason. Gives very warm hugs. Quote: "For the last time, I'm not a do- SQUIRREL! No, there's not actually a squirrel. It was a joke." Bio:
Born and raised in the fortress of a city that is Kelerm, Laslow quickly found himself tired of being constrained by walls. Adopting the name "Laz", he set out to wander Felarya, determined to find his destiny instead of waiting for it to come to him.
- Mercury:
Gender: Male Race: Human (formerly), Demon Height: 5' 9" Skin Color: Fair Hair Color: Light Grey Eye Color: Dark Blue Quote: "They say you can't cheat death, but I did it. And I wasn't even trying!" Bio: A lazy demon that would rather spend his days relaxing in the Felaryan wilderness than wandering Hell, or worse: working. His unwavering smile is permanently etched on his face, forcing him to use his magic to talk. Unwilling to fight unless extremely angered, he tries to talk his way out of his encounters with predators first, and often simply uses his portal magic to teleport out of trouble when words don't work. However, when he does manage to gain a friend in Felarya's hunters, he often has a plethora of jokes on hand for his newest pal. Rumour around Negav is that he occasionally performs in abandoned warehouses.
- Gem and Ini:
Gender: Both Female Races: Neko and Inu (respectively) Heights: 5' 4" and 6' 1" (respectively) Skin Colors: Fair Hair Colors: Black and White (respectively) Eye Colors: Silver and Black (respectively) Quote: "Every coin..." "...Has two sides." Bio: One is never seen without the other, and they have earned the nicknames "Yin" and "Yang" among their friends. Despite how attached they are, they are opposites in every aspect. Somehow, though, they manage to get along swimmingly.
- Iiza:
Gender: Female Race: Chlaena Height: 170 feet (standing) 220 feet (tentacles outstretched) Skin Color: Coral (No pun intended) Tentacle Color: Varies (Just like real life octopi, look it up) Hair Color: Red Eye Color: Purple Predation: Unwilling Food Category: 3-12 feet "Sure, humans make nice snacks. But they make better customers." Bio: A cheery and world-wise chlaena that can be found riding currents across Felarya's waters, often selling peculiar items acquired from far off lands. Sightings have been rumoured from the Shimmering Sea to the Topazial, and hardly any underwater city doesn't claim to have received a visit from the wandering peddler.
- Reverie:
//:HACKER DETECTED: Tuzo Kibani
Alright, you can stop calling me that now. Stupid computer. I haven't been Tuzo for a very long time.
//:ERROR: HACKER IS UPLOADING FILES
Don't worry about it. It's just a little something I thought you'd want.
//:DECRYPTING FILES...
//: HACKER DISCONNECTED
//:FILES DECRYPTED
//DISPLAYING FILES
Real Name: Tuzo Kibani Gender: Male Race: Human Height: 5' 11" Skin Color: Yellow Tan Hair Color: Grey Eye Color: Green Weapons: A rapier forged from mysterious metals that do not dull or break, and melt only at very high temperatures. Quote: "There is one truth the wicked must understand: There is nothing in the shadows worse than me." Bio: You're sure you want this story? No happy ending here. Fine.
It all started... how long ago? That would have been... 36 years ago. I was 19. I was walking down a street. Back then, I was a thief. Not some petty thief just trying to survive, though. That was back when I was a kid. No, by the time I was 19, I had begun to do some serious thievery. I stole because I knew that I could and nobody could catch me. A real professional thief: the kind that makes you want to lock your windows tighter than your doors, and your strongbox tighter than that. Little did I know that it was all about to come crashing down on me.
Anyway, back to the street. I was walking down a street in Negav. It wasn't my first time in the city, but I hadn't been around for a while. That's how I operated. Do a big heist in one city, then skip out to a quiet place for a while. Nobody recognized me. Not that they would anyway; nobody ever saw me on the job. Or, nobody knows they saw me at least. Whenever I came up in rumors, nobody ever knew what I looked like. All anyone ever saw was a moving shadow. After all, I wore all black like any good thief.
After stealing something for lunch, probably an apple from a food cart that I passed or something, I planned another heist. This one was big. I guess I must've had something to prove. The target was Sagesse Manor. The place was rumored to be impossible to loot. I planned on changing that rumor.
I sneaked in after nightfall. Everything was fine. Lots of guards, but none of them on high alert. Lots of loot, too. The place was full of gold in every form imaginable. I think they had something to prove, too. I found out later that they did. They like to lure thieves and assassins in to prove that their guards are the best. That's why they don't have anyone stationed outside. Getting in isn't the hard part; getting out is.
But, and you'll have to forgive me for saying this, they didn't quite expect someone like me. That night, I made a fool of their guards. I could have grabbed enough gold to be set for life. But I didn't touch a thing. I had one prize in mind: The Sagesse Crest Sapphire. Losing that would be a humiliation, as it was the only thing in the whole house that was well protected- besides the people, of course. And I almost got it. I was close enough to touch it. And then, I feel a sharp pain on the back of my head and the world goes dark. It wasn't a guard. No, a guard would've used the sharp end of the sword.
Turns out that I got floored by the single most important person in my life. Or, the girl that would become the single most important person in my life, anyway. Why was she in the Crest Hall? To tell you the truth, I still don't know. I never asked. I can make a guess. The only explanation I've been able to come up with so far is that she saw me at some point and went down to protect the Sapphire. I do know that she hit me a lot harder than she thought. She told me that much when I woke up in the guest room the next morning. She also told me that she had spoken about me with her father. I knew that meant she had probably saved my life. And by a thief's code of honor, that means you have a new master. For life.
I entered into the service of House Sagesse that afternoon. I started as a butler. I was supposed to serve wherever I was needed, whenever I was needed. Until she interfered again. I became her personal servant. Saved me a lot of walking. She didn't have one yet, but I'm not sure why she chose me out of all the servants in the house. I was the new guy. And maybe it's because I was the new guy. She was always worried that other servants might be picking on me. She was very kind. To everyone. If we came across one of the few old servants in the Manor, she would tell them to relax and have me complete their task. I didn't mind, really. By that time I had realized that I had a lot to atone for.
I started atoning immediately. I sought to excel in everything I did for her and her family. And I suppose I must've been quite impressive, because I was eventually trusted with a pendant of the Sagesse Family. A magical pendant given to every servant that proves their loyalty. It can call upon a magical ward. It is, however very tiring to use and mostly for decoration.
Things went on like that for a while. But nothing can stay the same way forever. One moment changed everything. It was some sort of a party. The kind of parties that nobles host. I had become accustomed to it at that point (I have many embarrassing stories from when I was still just off the streets, but perhaps another time). Everything was going well. Right up until the very end. I was standing at milady's right side, as usual. All I can remember is the flash of a steel dagger being drawn into the light. I acted on instinct. I took the blow. I was told later that it had been an assassination attempt on milady. I was also told that I was a hero. I was no hero. I was just doing my job. I didn't even know her name.
That was the second time I woke up in the guest room. The second time that I woke up with her sitting at my bedside, wondering if I was going to be okay. The first time, she had been the one that hit me. It made sense for her to worry. This time, it was just her being kind, as usual. She thanked me so many times I lost count. She finally gave me her name: Lucile. She asked me if I was alright, how my eye felt. It wasn't until she mentioned it that I even noticed. I'd lost my right eye to that dagger. Bandages covered that half of my face. I had assumed that's why I couldn't see out of that eye. When she removed the bandages, it became very clear that they had not been the main limiting factor to my vision. It also was the first time I noticed the other people in the room.
The captain of the guard and the patriarch of House Sagesse. I had been promoted. I was no longer just Lucile's personal butler. I was her bodyguard. This would have been... 30 years ago. I would have been 25.
That was when they were forged. The mask and the sword, that is. Custom order.
In all 10 years I remained her bodyguard, I had nary a cause to use them. The attempt at the party had no follow-up for 10 years. As for our relationship in those 10 years... well... I get to keep some of my secrets, don't I?
But on the tenth anniversary of the attempt at the party, the same assassin reappeared. I had found him before he could cause any trouble. I should have... I would have killed him. But Lucile found us first. She begged me to let him go. She was too kind. I shouldn't have listened. But I did.
I let him go like she asked. He came back. Every time I found him, he came back. He knew I had to rest sometime.
3 weeks. 3 weeks with hardly any sleep. I had to be ready for him every time. I let my guard down for a second.
One time was all it took.
He killed her.
It's my fault.
- Gale:
Real Name: Azyna Gender: Female Race: Fairy Maximum Height: 94' Common Height: 4' 10" Minimum Height: 5" Skin Color: Mint Green Hair Color: Emerald Green Eye Color: Royal Blue Wing Style: Dragonfly Other Characteristics: Staunchly refuses to wear clothes. Predation: Reluctant Food Category: 3-8 "What Rev says goes, so no eating humans. Until he's not looking, of course." Bio: A happy-go-lucky Fairy from the Fairy Kingdom's Sunfall Thicket, Azyna was the youngest and slowest of a makeshift "family". In order to keep up with her "sisters", she taught herself wind magic to propel herself through the trees towards prey. She may well have continued to lead this life, had she not strayed too far from her pack. But she did. And when she did, she was caught by a team of Fairy Hunters. That's when she met him. Reverie. The masked hero had saved her from the Hunters, and offered to protect her until her injuries healed. Azyna had a better idea. Taking the name "Gale", the fairy vowed to travel with Reverie as a sidekick. Being in no position to complain, the vagabond accepted the fairy's offer. They travel together to this day, though they are known to have squabbles from time to time; usually over Gale's predatory instincts and tendencies.
- J:
Gender: Male Race: Human Height: 6' 3" Skin Color: Tanned Hair Color: Black Eye Color: Brown Other Characteristics: Never without his black cloak. "In the end, everything comes down to you and your gun. If anyone tries to tell you it's more complicated than that, they're wrong or they're lying." Bio: His whole life, J has had to make his own way. The only thing he was ever given was his best friend: a revolver made from metal as black as the night sky with a wood grip carved tediously by hand. A rugged survivalist, his home is in the wilderness of the Ascarlin Mountains. He is one of the few individuals who has ever declined an offer to join PROMETHEUS, who sought his legendary aim. If the exaggerations heard in taverns are to be believed, only a single rival exists to J's aim: a neko with no name (her name is always left out of the tales, out of fear that a bullet would magically find its way to any that uttered her name).
(Author's Note: This list is likely a perpetual work in progress, as characters experience more in the RP Forums and new characters join the ranks. Thank you.)

| Whoa what an interesting set of OCs! Not seen this much variety in a while! I especially love you have a rogue AI who pilots a 'walking tank'! XD Very cool. Mag's "Bottom Glass" sounds like a fascinating weapon. I'm sure when Katrika eats her Anna will have fun with it. A male demon.....*Blinks checks again* Oh my gaurdians! I never thought I'd see another incubus runner as well! Though something about him tickles my 'funny bone'. I got my flashing eye on ya, Buddy ;D A pair of twins from two of my favorite Felarya species! Ohhh it is like Christmas come early! I rather like ALL your OCs. Look forward to RPing, reading them in fics and seeing larger bios. Oh and welcome to Felarya! If'n you post in the welcome section I'll give ya a welcome basket. Good luck and remember in Felaraya.... IT'S EAT OR BE EATEN! *Flowey Laugh* PS: I adore your using Vivi as your avy~♡ ☆~~Jedi~~☆ | |

Shh... It's a secret. Quit "ribbing" me. If you expose me like that, I'll be "bare as bones". Then we'd just have a "skeleton" crew. I won't "judge" you for it, but I'd be disappointed if you "blue" my cover. *The list continues for several pages. You decide it might be best to stop. Anyway, thanks. I'm sure I'll seeya 'round. | |
