Name: Veseere Maledictus
Species: Hybrid of Scathan and Human
Age: 1,687
Sex: Female
Height:4'7" or 55"
Weight: 90 lbs
Skin Color: Caucasian
Hair Color: Silver with a strand of red in the front.
Eye Color: Green with pentagrams for pupils that vary from pink to scarlet depending on her current mood.
Other Characteristics: Golden bands that are a physical representation of her soul, weave up her forearms and give off an eerie green glow. They visually signify her "Curse" as she calls it while others call it a blessing.
Dress: Crimson Scholar Robe worn over a black uniform. Black skirt with white embroidery, leggings, and dark leather boots. She also has a black blindfold that she wears when going into public, or when she has used too much magic and needs to recover her eyesight.
Weapon: Staff of Felaryan Friendship [As she calls it] Better known as Purgatory's Pact of Pride. Doubles as a walking stick for when her eyesight is lost. It is a very odd looking staff with pieces of many races built into it. All taken peacefully of course as she is not a monster, and she holds the superstitious belief that if she were to take the materials forcefully that the will of the previous owner would cause it's power to fail in her time of need. She also infused a chunk of the band that are her soul into it, while she can not be rid of the curse she can at least make use of it. Though it is a two way street, it gives her better control of her magic but should it fall into someone else's hands they could easily assert control over her.

Physical Description: Veseere is short even by most human standards throughout the many worlds. The easiest way to tell her from a crowd for sure, is confirmation of the Pink Pentagrams in the center of her eyes. Her hair is silver in color with a streak of red through her bangs. Her complexion is pale due to her lack of exposure to sunlight, as she is normally fully covered and prefers to travel at dusk. She has two different forms, the other being when she taps into her succubi heritage. Green tinted wings and horns sprout from her body. Her regular attire includes a Crimson Scholar robe, Black leather boots, a short skirt with leggings. She looks to be around her early to mid twenties though one should tread with caution to not underestimate her by looks alone.

Personality: Veseere’s personality can change on the fly depending on whom she is currently interacting with; based on how they conduct themselves. Her normal demeanor is calm and calculating as she discerns on whether a situation has any beneficial outcome for herself. Around people she does not know she takes on a cautious and protective front, not willing to risk ire until she has a feel for them. Though if she deems one to be a friend she is rather kind-hearted and bubbly. A rather jubilant woman always trying her earnest to make others crack a smile. However, it is unwise to provoke her anger. To all who greatly offend her or any acquaintance in her presence repeatedly, she will not hesitate to throw the gauntlet so to speak in defense. It is easy to control her outlook on oneself though, as simple as bringing her a treat or a form of literature. While highly intelligent knowledge wise; having spent so much time alone she is quite the simpleton when it comes to social interactions.

Background: Veseere is a very old being who has spent most of her life in rigorous pursuit of knowledge on all matters Arcane. Her life's work is the personal library she keeps in her cottage; which is located in the Crimson Forest. She was the unintentional result of the forbidden romance between whomever her mother was, and her now deceased father Pim Maledictus. She was taken to the Jungle of Peril shortly after birth and left to die, so that none would know of the relationship between her parents. However she had inherited the curse of her father and did not die. When a spider like dridder stabbed her  through the side, the wound immediately healed followed by her screams of agony. Whether out of pity, curiosity, or some strange maternal instinct, a pair of scarlet elves came to her aid, and brought her home with them to their village. Raised by Scarlet Elves, Veseere had an unusual upbringing of always having to strive hard to not simply live in the shadows cast by her peers but to stand equal among them. Being raised in a small village, Veseere developed an insatiable hunger towards learning new things. Eventually this would lead to pursuing information on the blessing which she considers a curse. Making contact with the being who cast the curse, she was met with amusement by it. It hadn't expected it's curse to transfer. Refusing to remove the curse, it would instead agree to make a pact with Veseere to sate its own amusement as to what she might become. Awakening her potential to harness magic awoke a long dormant hunger for souls thanks to her Succubi heritage. Discovering how to make pacts with people, she would offer her services in any capacity for an equal exchange of souls. Learning to supplement having to eat repeatedly, for consuming a soul would allow her more time to study uninterrupted. She would begin a cycle of adventuring towards acquiring new text, making and fulfilling a bunch of pacts, and shutting herself away for decades at a time to study and reevaluate what she learned.

Present Day: Having spent many a year locked away inside of her cottage with her nose in books, she would emerge into a world unfamiliar in many ways to what she once knew. Most of her friends having long since passed, the rest had nearly forgotten the youthful looking mage. The only one to recognize her at first, a now older elf, only did so due to the nostalgic amusement of watching a blind person with an odd stick walk into people's feet. Getting a brief lecture on event in recent history, she was surprised to find that Negav was a large city and a major power in the current world. Deciding that enough was interesting in the world of today, she would remove the seals from her cottage allowing it to be seen by all who may stumble across it. Packing a bag of herbs, elixirs, and her own personal spell book Veseere would set off aimlessly to explore the world once more. She hopes to make some new friends and maybe go on an adventure again, leaving her solitary life in the past for now.

Skills and Abilities: Having a literal eon of experience, Veseere is very confident in her cooking ability. That is however if your only food source was the mushrooms outside your home. Dedicating her life to the study of the arcane, there are not many aspects of magic she does not know therefore making her an excellent go to for adventurers looking to learn about magic and its many uses. Alchemy is a hobby that she practices often. To stumble upon her in the wilderness is a great boon as one will most likely be given a large amount of elixirs and balms for an assortment of curative purposes at no expense; just because she doesn't like to carry more than she needs yet is constantly making more when she finds the ingredients. What most consider to be ancient history, she probably has a memory or tale of. Bringing her into a ruined temple may yield being told a story and given a tour of what it was in the past. Veseere can craft what she calls a magic bag, using the scale of a Naga, the silk of an arachnid dridder, and some of her own spells she forms miniature pocket dimensions that are portable. For anyone able to acquire those ingredients and live to tell about it, they may be able to greatly increase how much they can carry or make a decent profit by selling the finished product in Negav.

Innate gift: The All Seeing Eyes. She is able to see magic itself like regular people do the rain, and  recognize any magic circle she has observed before. Therefore when it comes to having protection against magic or a need to have a curse or enchantment dispelled nearly no one is as formidable in the field as she. However it is a double edged sword due to being a mixed species, as the ability to see magic also takes her actual sight if she exerts herself too much. Unlike a pure-blooded Scathan her human physiology can't handle the added aspect full time like breathing. In this blinded state, all she can see is magic. Thus anyone who has no magic could easily subdue her as she wouldn't know they were even present.

Magic: Veseere's backbone in magic stems from the heritage she would not discover till late in her years. Due to the Scathanian blood flowing through her veins, connection with the forces of magic in the world was strong from birth. She is a maverick of rule-based magic, using mainly chants and seals for casting; though sometime trying something new only to have it do the opposite of what she though the outcome would be. If near a ley line she is very strongly able to manipulate primordial magic, though without her trusty staff her precision is non existent, instead opting for mass area effects. She has spent her lifetime learning as many aspects of magic possible. Though she specializes in support magics and has an affinity for summoning forth lightning.

Curse of Fate: Golden bands entwine around Veseere’s forearms. This is a physical representation of her actual soul. As long as this band is attached to her, she is unable to receive death’s embrace. What would be a fatality for most will simply cause her extreme pain as not only does she have to die from it, the cursed bands make her relive every second of pain multiplied as it reverses the outcome on her body. While some may call it a blessing of immortality, she considers it a fate worse than death. Nothing is as unbearable as watching friends and families expire before you.

Scathan Shift: In order to use her personal spell tome which is her last resort, it requires her to give into the beast that lies sealed and dormant in her blood. She fears ever getting to this point and would rather surrender than be pressed into it. This thing is not her, she has no recollection of memory for what happens when it takes control. Besides its appearance all she knows is that the aftermath in area's where she blacks out are a smoldering crater, and that her clothes are nearly ruined entirely. Perhaps if she were to submit herself to the tutelage a pure blooded scathan, she could learn to harness the power.

First some nice stuff:

Overveiw in General
OOoh what an interesting birthday we have, Vesi! Born in the tail end of the Era of Mirages and adopted by a pair of Scarlet Elves. That must have been very...interesting. cat . What a fascinating time to be a child. Growing up in the Age of the Elven Empire watching it rise and fall!

Okay that was actually quite masterful for a n00b. You basically made her OP in casting and dispelling magic then stated she had a magical Sharingan which I wanted to say no to but...oddly that balances itself out a bit there. o.O Well done! Though I am curious couldn't she pull a Neo from the Third Maxtrix and just look at Ferlaya's ambient magic and discern which 'shadows' are likely to be Unblessed or just normal enemies?

Hmm so she can survive a deathblow using a special cheat but the question is: Helaing Factor or Beserker Armor? Which if you don't get that ref it's basically thus: Healing Factor is what it says on the tin. If you get damaged you can regenerate that wound. Beserker Armor refers to the main character from Beserk's bad ass armor that doesn't heal him but instead holds him together and keeps him from bleeding out. However upon dismissal? No more effect. ^^; I mean yes Healing magic can serve to patch over the weaknesses from either one of these BUT mana stores will run out or can be sealed or just plain tainted. There's a reason White Mages travel with Black Mages and have cute little bickering contests  after all! XD

That is what i usually look for in "unleashed"/"Limit breaking form" in Anime and so often get dissapointed by. Good countermeasures there.

People in Felarya don't pass from old age dear, maybe get murdered by pointy objects now and then or have a stone fall on them, which is what your bio makes it sound like a little there. Also nobody usually ages physically beyond thirty except those who come here older and even they are actually much healthier than most old people off world. ...As long as they don't get Tolmeshal Flu or eaten I mean XD

All in all? I love her~ Freshest face we've have in years. ^_^ I look forward to getting to know Vesi more in the future!

Berserk is my favorite manga of all time, along with the old anime of it and the newer one that they did the first half of. The movies not so much. Unlike the Berserk Armor, Vesi does actually "Die" for a portion of time that is. Essentially say you decapitated her, which you totally shouldn't because she is already short and doesn't need to be a head less, she would bleed out until her heart stopped beating. However it is once the heart stops and the soul would normally pass on that things get interesting. Bound to her current form literally, her curse would agonizingly grant her full consciousness and feeling as it slowly pieced her body back together into a livable state. The severity of the death is what would determine how long she remains in that process.

Say she was smooshed like a bug and then kicked down a canyon. It is going to be a loooooooooooooooooooooooong time before she is up an about as she is spread out far. Such is why a jar/box/or container is her worst enemy. You put her arm alone in a box, she is going to be without it unless she gets it back out of the box. She essentially, reforms, I think would be a more correct term. Matter can not be created nor destroyed, but you are more than capable of trapping it in a box and putting it on display. Does that make sense?

As far as the ages of the elf, older via her memory. Pretty sure I expanded upon it in the full bio on my google doc. Essentially the "Older Elf" was a young elf before she hid herself away with her books. Now it is a full grown beautiful elf! As far as perishing goes, a lot can happen in an eon or several. Might become lunch, take the seat of the wrong patron at a sketchy tavern; open war, choosing to leave Felarya, I should have expanded upon it nonetheless.

Thanks for your critiques by the way! study

Name: Protea
Species: Deerataur
Predation: Opportunistic
Age: 3,727 Born the ninth of Zeturin, 1659 B.U.
Sex: Female
Height: 107 Ft from hoof to head, her horns add an additional 14 ft bringing the total to 121 Ft.
Weight: 3,849 lbs or 1.85 Tons
Skin Color: Peru The Color of the thin fur coating her lower body is Chestnut.
Hair Color: Amaranth Pink
Eye Color: Gray

Veseere Protea11

Other Characteristics: Her hair when let down goes to her mid back, she typically keeps it in  a pair of braids that she loops from the front to the back of her head into a ponytail. Bit's of leaves and flowers litter her hair from nearby trees or that drop off of her horns. Her horns themselves jut upward into a point 14 feet about the top of her head, then curve around sort of like a rams but with several smaller curving horns that extend from the main bit.

Dress: Protea isn't all that fond of clothing, preferring to go mostly exposed. However if she is trying to act fancy like the little ones she lets live on the island with her, she has white crop top with buttons on the back that was made for her. The shirt was made as the result of a challenge to design a shirt that wouldn't be torn or stretch on her horns. A necklace rests around her neck made of vines with a small cube hanging from it with a door on the front of it.

Weapon: Rather than a weapon she wields a rather crude piece of cutlery she made herself. It is a 'small' by her standards knife made with a broken rock, fastened with vines to a tree trunk she carved flowers into.

Physical Description: Protea is rather average sized or so she thinks compared to other Centaur and the occasional deerataurs that she has encountered. Her skin is a shade of light brown with the hair of her lower half being a shade or two darker. Her hair is the color of an Amaranth flower. Her eyes are a shade of light gray, almost to the point of being considered silver. Unlike her youthful appearance her eyes show the true depth of her age. Her horns are decorated with the vines and flowers that grow upon them and small crystals sprinkaled on them making them sparkle slightly in the sunlight. She favors cutesy hairstyles like her usual looped braids and ponytail, as it keeps her pink locks from tangling on her horns.

Personality: Protea is rather bold and usually doesn't have the slightest problem telling people, whom she doesn't know well, exactly what she thinks. She holds a strong view on courage and diversity. Having never had reason to, Protea doesn't lie or even know how to not tell the truth. She has an optimistic outlook on life and see's the best in the worst of places. Having frequent encounters with fairies, their mischievous playful nature rubbed off on her, she loves to play what she considers pranks on others. Sometimes as with fairies to the dismay of the one being played with. While the island in the Far Lands is her home,  Protea is very adventurous and love to frequently wander off to various places to see new things or meet new or old friends.

Background: Protea was born and raised in the Misty Glade without too much hardship. She lived a rather simple life of playing, eating, playing while eating, and sleeping. Though she mainly only played games with herself as people tended to avoid her once she had hit her growth spurt. Thanks to a very strong affinity for storm magic she couldn't quite control, where ever she went a mass of fog followed which lead many people to run from her. As surely whatever thundered within the thick fog couldn't possibly be good. It was too to all these people avoiding her that she came to acknowledge the courage of the ones who came to her of their own volition. Usually becoming fast friends with them or fleeing for her life if it was a bigger predator looking for lunch. Protea would become known for her addiction to Oosoon berries, or rather her unaware giddiness with intoxication from the consumption of them. Many a people had disappeared beneath her hooves or into her stomach without her having any recollection of the events. However the fun times would come to an end when a strange humming would begin to itch at the back of her mind one day while on the western age of the Glade. Unable to get the resonating noise out of her head she would decide to embark on an adventure to find it. Her journey would take her across the Akaptor desert, the Ivokan Savanna, and all the way up into the far lands. Encountering an assortment of people and creatures along the way, she would find a dryad who would direct her toward the eastern coast, upon which she would find the sight of a monstrous mountain of crystal rising into the air on an island a little ways off. Wading out to it, amazement was all that she felt at the sheer amount of magic that radiated from the monument let alone the beauty of it. Planting a forest on the island she would make it her home. Tapping into some of the magic she would cast a large scale weather manipulation spell shrouding the entire edge of the island and most of the surrounding area beneath a veil of fog. Becoming a self proclaimed guardian, she would question anyone who made it though the mist. If they tried to flee in fright or revealed nefarious purpose for arriving, she would scoop them up as a snack in a heartbeat if they were small enough or summon forth a hurricane to blow them away. Though the question is what is she guarding, the crystal mountain seeping with magic, or her field of Oosoon berries she has hidden away on the southern end along with all the treasures she has acquired throughout her life.

Present Day: Protea no longer lives isolated on the island. She has permitted a small colony of people to settle on the northern edge of the island, and open a trading port. Claiming one of the small people as her own, she wear's a small house as a necklace. As it represents that the little woman is a close friend she holds to her heart. Protea and her 'Druid' as the inhabitants now call the girl occasionally go over to the far lands, to get the latest gossip and happening from the dryads and trade berries in exchange. No longer needing to hunt for food, Protea makes a habit of having the occasional trader disappear in the night and sees to the removal of troublemakers in the town. She teaches her knowledge of agriculture to all who would listen once a week, and maintains the lushness of the forest she had planted. Most of the men on the island for some reason avoid talking to her and pretend not to notice her. It could be that her punishment for being disturbed at a time only she knows of when she is in mood, is too place the
disturbance in her mouth and suck on them like candy for hours. So in a playful and teasing manner, she will on occasion sleep just outside the town and rearrange the layout while the residents sleep. Which in effect makes them have to speak to her in order to have their houses put back.
