| It's something that has been bothering me. Basically, there's no indication for any predatory specie of how years for them is worth a human year. It's sort of a problem with the fact I have no way of knowing their exact age when I make a character that is a predator. It's possible it's different for each race, but it would help to create a more accurate age. There's only one clue I have for now: Crisis is 60 years old, and in human standards she'd be 19. So for a naga, about 3.16 years for them would be worth one human year. If people has suggestion for a race's age scale for a human, it would help. The pattern would be that a human year is worth more years for a Felaryan race, or maybe it's the contrary, dang it, I'm never good at that. Whatever, it takes more years for them to have one human year. | |

| Well actually there is no real pattern, seeing that it varies from one race to another and even from one sub-species to another ^^;
For example Crisis and Vivian ages are not on the same pattern

| Also, take into account that at some point all creatures cease to mature due to the soil's effects, and their appearance will remain the same indefinitely. When Crisis reaches her 120th birthday she may still be 19 in human years. | |

| The maturity of someone depends on his/her personnal experience if the person lived situation where he/she had to take responsability this person will become mature quickly or she lived a carefree life she will still act childish. By example Temi and Subeta, They know since childhood but Temi is more mature because she had more responsabilities than Subeta.
You can meet a naga who has only 40 years old and act more mature than Crisis. As Mickilla said taking into account that at some point all creatures cease to mature due to the soil's effects, and their appearance will remain the same indefinitely.
I don't think the pattern is so important.

| They can still gain new experiences after maturing. | |

Exactly, here the age is not really important it will be just a question of experience.

I don't think the pattern is so important. This thread is about physical maturity. It has nothing to do with experience or emotional maturity. Crisis may have the mentality of a young adult, but physically she's...... well, a young adult. But that's just a coincidence. This thread is about how fast a beings body matures. Emotional maturity is another issue altogether.

This thread is about how fast a beings body matures. Emotional maturity is another issue altogether. Depending on the race and knowing there is creature which can shape shift or growth adult suddenly due to magical or strange phenomenon by example Rin. It will be difficult to say exactly how fast creature can mature physically

| There has to be a scale. Like, three years for a dridder is worth one year in humans. And stuff like that. | |

| They don't necessarily need to scale equally with humans. They might have a much shorter pre-pubescent period than humans, or a much longer 'adult' portion of their life. | |

| Likewise, it doesn't necessarily scale within a species, as the level of inherent magic in a human often has an effect on their physical aging. For instance, if a human slowly grows into a giant size over time, they're not likely to age during that time. | |
