The Megalodon's tooth (closed)

The 60-foot-long Meg swam through the water, searching for food. It's nostrils smelt the faint trail of blood above it, and senses disturbances in concentric layers: the rapid rise of th humpback whale's pulse. The electrical disturbances of it's prey's swimming muscles, the scent of it's fight or flight amino acid secretions. It sees the dying whale a hundred yards in front of it, dives down deep, and circles its prey below. Rushing upward toward the whale, the Megalodon pumps its tail faster. Then, it opens its mouth and its upper jaw jutting forward and away from the skull. Just as it is about to bite its prey, a flash of light blinds it, and it veers to the right.

Confused, it swims slowly through its new surroundings which seem to be teeming with large objects that are possibly prey. It swims toward the closest disturbance in the water, rising its dorsal fin out of the ocean so that it's fin is now 6 feet out.

Jetting just beneath the waves along the same trajectory was Y'lmeleh, a cecaelia of some sixty feet from head to base, her eight shorter tentacles and her longer and more powerful main pair, along with her pointed mantle, streaming behind her humanoid upper body. Though she lacked the "predator sense" common to many Felaryan predators, she could smell the strong odor of food in the water somewhere ahead, which would lead her to a great meal, she was sure of it.

Then she felt a notable disturbance- the vibrations caused by another large creature... Competition? With any luck, it would be a mermaid, she thought, her large eyes with their rectangular, sideways-slitting pupils seeming to grin along with the parting of her wide-stretching lips, glimpsing a smile of two sets of fused teeth reminiscent of a dulled beak. Changing course, she headed towards this new arrival to intercept them, peering with optical precision through the murk to see it... Coming directly towards her?

The male Meg's ampullae of Lorenzin picked up the electrical discharges of his possible challenger's movement, and soon it saw what it sensed. It was a strange fish, one that it never saw before. It looked like half human, half squid, and the Meg veered off to the left and circled around the creature.

Y'lmeleh readied for an onwards attack, but as the great predatory fish veered off to circle, she took a good look at its profile, Studying it carefully, her water-pumping jets halted as she watched. It certainly smelled like it would taste good.

Licking her lips, she began to move again. Her bulbous mantle pointed forwards now, her human torso dragging behind. Her neck twisted around to better see aside and behind her, while she kept the distance between them until the right moment to strike. She felt her four hearts pumping her blue blood inside; her main tentacles coiled, tensed, the hydrostatic tissue comprising them ready to deliver a powerful blow at the ready.

The Meg felt the creature's pulse quicken as it readied to strike. The big male suddenly veered around, and charged at the creature as it opened its mouth and its upper jaw jutted forward--the most dangerous bite that evolution had created--as It attacked its new threat.

Rose sighed as she walked near the waters edge she sighed and knealed by the waters edge and then cupped her hands and filled them with water wich she uses to wash over her head she cringed slightly but she knew it had to be done she washed her cat tail and ears sh notices ripples in the water and watches them she dangles her feet in the water and moved them about smiling to herself she hummed a gentle tune.

The Meg stopped, sensing another disturbance at the water's surface near the shore. The male broke off from the attack and swam toward the shore where it could feel Roses feet dangling in the water. It soon saw her feet, and surfaced its dorsal fin.

Rose smiled to herself she glanced around the area humming gently and soft to herself she moved her feet about again she let out a gasp as something emerged from the water she didn't know what to do she figured that i was nothing she wasn't even sure if it was cming in her direction.

The Meg gently swam up to Rose's feet, and stuck its head out of the water to get a better look at her.

Rose let out a gasp as a head came out of the water she didn't move her feet she just looked and watched the head she was curious about the creature

Get control of yourself! The Meg submerged and shook its head, then slowly shape shifted into a teenager with sort dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, and a Megalodon tooth necklace around his neck. He wore a sleeveless dark green cloth shirt, brown cloth pants, a black belt with a silver buck;e, and dark brown boots. Attached to his back were a holster for his white crossbow, and a white hilted sword in their sheaths. The boy was still underwater, holding his head as he gritted his theeth. Blue glowing lines were drawn all over his body, including his face.

Rose watched the crature submerge she had no idea what was going on and quickly took her feet out from the water she watched the water cautiously knowing that she would probably not be able to escape the creature if she ran so she took a few steps way from the waters edge after a few minutes she went back to the edge and knelt down by the water she then placed her head under water to look for signs of the creature but all she saw was a boy who looked to be in his teens rose smiled softly at him and held her arm towards him.

Seing Rose's arm, Michael grabbed it and pulled himself out of the water. He broke the surface and gasped for air, then climbed onto shore. He laid in the sand, still wet from the water, laying on his stomach.

Rose sighed she looked at the boy and walked over to him giving him a gentle shake "are you ok its not safe to be swimming in these waters i saw this monster a few minutes ago"she says gently to sparrow

Michael turned over and sat up, shaking the salt water from his hair. He smiled softly at Rose. "That "monster" was me." He held his necklace up to show her the Megalodon tooth. "This is a tooth of Charcharodon megalodon, or Megalodon, which is an ancestor of the Great White shark. This particular Megalodon tooth is magical. It allows me to become one at will. Unfortunately, I've been one for a few days since I was unable to get control of my actions." The glowing lines on his body dissapeared.

Rose backed away from sparrow nervously and looked horrified as she backed away from the boy "y...y..you your a...a monster" she says pointing at sparrow "thats cool what do you eat?" she says smiling

Michael frowned at Rose. "I am not a monster. I may be able to transform into one of the most dangerous predators on my planet, but that doesn't mean I'm a monster." Sparrow looked down at the sand, feeling a bit hurt from Rose's comment. "As for what I eat, I eat whatpeople normaly eat."

As Baras walked through the woods of Felarya, he noticed a neko and a human talking to each other. He walked towards them and said, "Hey there! The name's Baras. Pleasure to meet y'all!" He then noticed the prehistoric shark tooth on Sparrow's neck, and walked over to him with awe-filled eyes. "Wow, I love that Megaladon tooth you're wearing! Where'd you get that?"

((Umm… When I said “I won’t be able to post for a few days” I was sort of implying, “I won’t be able to post, so please hold the RP until I am able to do so, out of courtesy.” And NOT “Why don’t you just pretend my character isn’t there.” After you had introduced your character, Schoolhater, I would have accommodated them in my post once I was able to. But now I don’t have a clue where to pick back up at, and you seem to have your own separate interaction going on between your characters, so screw you guys.

EDIT: Absolutely nothing against you, Joker. I was hoping Mikeimp would have laid off indulging Schoolhater in the RP until I had the chance to respond.))
