A special Sneak Peek at the mildly horror like story;
'The Guilt of Existence'!

Here it is! Click and enjoy!

"I'll be back in a bit, Raison." D'etre said, hopping off his hand and onto the ground. She watched the clawed hand move back upwards, joining it's partner on one of the branches.

Raison smiled down at her, slightly exposing the needle like teeth in his mouth. "Remember what areas you're allowed in, and that I will send someone to watch you." He reached back down and gently patted her. "And please, don't eat anything you do not recognize again."

Crossing her arms, D'etre frowned "It was only a mushroom."

"Yes, but you wouldn't stop talking about floating sweets and opened stomaches. I wondered how I was supposed to get you to shut up." Raison looked up at the pink like colored sky. "When the sky turns purple, come back, okay D'etre? Why do you even need to go out now anyway?"

"It's your fault for forgetting to get me food." Nodding, D'etre picked up her basket and waved to Raison. "See you soon!" With that, she turned around and walked into the thick growth of trees.

D'etre was relatively experienced with walking over the thick roots and avoiding dangerous plants, dodging out from the bright red vine which swung her way and climbing over a large root that had long ago lifted itself from the ground and become an arch.

Many plants in the area were Raison's own, meaning many flowers, fruits, and berries were lures to bring people close enough to kill. D'etre found it painful to walk past those delicious plump berries and the delicately colored flowers. But her trek was finally rewarded when she came upon a bush that had dark blue berries growing from it.
Eagerly pulling the sweet little orbs away from the branches, D'etre began filling her basket with her reward. D'etre noticed a spot on her sleeve growing darker and looked up. Dark clouds rolled over her head, and she frowned as large drops began to fall. "Stupid weather." She mumbled, picking up her basket and running through the downpour. The rain fell harder, obscuring anything more then ten feet away from her, and D'etre found herself confused and wet. "Great." She panted, before turning around and jogging, then walking, the way she was sure she came.

"It's all YOUR FAULT!"

Tightening her grip on the basket, D'etre shut her eyes and tried to forget those words and then felt something smash into her, or rather he smash into something. Crying out in shock, she fell onto her butt and opened her eyes to see what looked to be a tower in front of her. Water slid easily off from it, cleaning the bit of blood from D'etre's nose that was on the door. Blinking rapidly, D'etre tried to remember where it had come from, but could not recall there ever being a tower in Raison's territory. A crack of thunder made her forget that and reach up to the slick metal door handle. She pulled it open and threw her basket inside before following.

Quickly shutting the door, D'etre turned around to see piles of gold and other treasures sparkling brightly in the light of a elegant crystal chandelier and fireplace. Soaking wet, cold, and hungry, D'etre was thankful she had found such a warm atmosphere as she picked up a fistful of berries and ate them. She sat down near the fire, munching happily on berries and it took a few minutes before she realized someone must own the tower, and she was intruding on someone's property.

Standing back up, she shook her head, feeling her wet and heavy hair slap around. She held her basket still, and noticed another door on the otherside of the room. D'etre walked over to the door, opened it, and looked at the stone staircase.

"Huh." The flopping noise of her sandels hitting the stone and her heels was all the sound inside the staircase. Candles were lit on one side of the spiralling case, illuminating the occasional polished stone set into the steps. D'etre wondered how many steps she had gone up when she found the door at the top. D'etre opened the wooden door and walked inside, becoming somewhat disappointed that the only things contained in the room were paintings, vases, and a few statues. She closed the door behind her, before walking over to one of the paintings. It was of a woman with curling brown hair and gray eyes, her hands clapsed in her lap and a demure look of sorrow on her face. Taking a step back to further admire it, D'etre's butt knocked into one of the pedestals that held a statue, and she was brought spinning around when she heard the noise of the statue shattering. Frightened, she ran out from the room, pulling the door open and shutting it.
