| An extremely hot pepper, rated somewhere around 1.5 million scovilles. It's oils alone can be hot enough to cause a strong burning sensation on bare skin, however when diluted in other oils it can be used in cooking as a method to add spice to various food. However those of the fire element enjoy the peppers as is. It is unknown as to why, but there are several theories. The leading one is that the oils are rendered useless due to the eater already having a strong resistance to heat.
Apperace-
Size: About 6 inches in diamator Color: Orangish red Texture: Rough skin with a slick, almost oily feel to it. Plant height: 4-6 feet Average number of peppers per plant: 50-70

| ...It's THAT high? That would burn your tongue off!
BUT I WANT TO TRY IT!
Those lucky fire elementals. Hmm, I wonder, if you eat one of those peppers, could you breath fire?

| I doubt the primary use of this is culinary. A vial of pure oil could be a big deterent to being eaten. It would be sure to cause a pred's gag reflex to kick in. | |

| Does the inspiration mean that nagas can eat it without gagging? | |

| Insperation was that the Naga Peppers were from Nagaland. Seriously.
And actually, my first thought was for those preds who like a bit of heat with their meals.

| Hmm... I can see some funny situations if only nagas can eat them without getting near burned to death. Crisis wouldn't understand why all her non naga friends don't accept food from her anymore... | |

| If the oil's hot enough to burn things, wouldn't that limit the use of the pepper unless someone dilutes it? Kind of hard for anything - Human, Naga, Squirrel Girl - to chow down on it when an untreated version leaves you in pain from tongue-to-stomach. | |

We have peppers here in the real world that can do the sane thing. And let's be honest, the surface area of a giant preditor is a LOT more then a human thus the heat wouldn't be as intense.
