Here's a Felarya song I wrote based on "Devil Went Down To Georgia" so it's both on AND off topic.

Menyssan went to Australia, she was looking for a bite to eat.
She knew it was hot, but like it or not: she knew the best prey swarmed the street.
When she came across this young man drawin' on a chess board in a field.
And Menyssan jumped upon his camper van and said: "At chess I can make you yield:
"I bet you didn't know it lad, but I'm a chess player too.
"And if you'd care to take a dare, I'll make a bet with you.
"Now I bet you play chess real nice, boy, but give Menyssan her due:
"I bet a slave for your feet against your meat, 'cos boy, I’d like to eat you."
The boy said: "My name's Rythy and your pawns will fall in droves,
"Cause I'll take your bet, your gonna regret, so prepare to kiss my toes"

Rythy you think fast and true and play your pieces hard.
'Cos a demon’s in your hometown and she’s no slouch with her smarts.
And if you win you get a foot-rub from a succubus.
But if you lose, you’ll end up in her guts.

Menyssan took the white side and said: "I'll start this bout."
And saliva dripped from her lips as her tongue flicked around.
And she launched her first assault on Rythy holding nothing back.
Using all her skill and all her wit she was going to make him crack.
After a few turns Rythy said: "Well you're pretty good my sweet.
"But now I’ll show why upon my flesh, you’ll never feast!"

Tactical genius, fight pawns, fight.
Menyssan's mouth’s dryer than a tooheys light.
Queens and bishops skippin’ over the board.
Just armed with foul language
No shield or sword.

Menyssan bowed her head because she knew that she'd been beat.
She sat her caboose down on the ground at Rythy's feet.
Rythy said: "Menyssan just come on back if you feel the need to cleanse your name.
"I told you once, my dear demoness, I'm the master of this game!"

Tactical genius, won the day.
Menyssan's was denied her desired prey.
So off she’ll go to find a new source.
Like that Karbo guy,
Who lives up north.

Hell yeah.

Call me a nerd, but I like game music, which falls into the "techno" and "classical" categories. Final Fantasy and Armored Core type games are my fancy in music.

I like nearly everything related to music, except for opera and flamenco. Yes, you're reading it right: I may be a Spaniard, but I don't like flamenco. Strange, isn't it? It even surprises me, but I guess it's because stereotypes suck.

And Pendragon, I also like game music. In fact, I'm a great fan of the Gouketsuji Ichizoku/Power Instinct soundtracks. Of course, my taste is a bit... obscure. ;P

I've strayed off into a tiny niche preference for metal, and that niche is exactly what the band Machinae Supremacy fills. Best band ever, in my opinion. Unfortunately I haven't heard much other stuff in the genre of "SID metal" that sounds decent and the only time I've ever heard a cover of one of their songs it was terrible. Any suggestions?

On another note, they somehow managed to take Britney Spears' "Gimme More" and make it listenable. You know a band has to be made of win and awesome when they can do that.

A good soundtrack is a prerogative to make some good game, I think. For example, a game that could have been great but it had a bad soundtrack: Magna Carta
