| Ok, these ideas, I wasnt really sure if they were good enough to get their own page...
===========================================================================
Mini Naga
At first glance one would think it was just a regular giant naga, but it has the power to split into several smaller copies of itself, each looking exactly alike
They are all mentally linked and will automatically know if something has happened to any of its other copies
Because of its power to split into child sizes, it can easy turn into an army of miniature naga and rob an entire village blind overnight, and no one would know the cause
============================================================================
Turtle Naga
A slow traveling naga, herbivore, has a massive turtle shell on its back, and its scales are twice as powerful as a normal naga, making any form of physical attack useless, it can also deflect weak magic spells
They are very passive and friendly unless attacked, at which point they will become very fierce
Spends most of its time in or around water
=============================================================================
I wouldnt be surprised if the turtle thing has been done

| Turtle naga? I don't see why you would need to combine snake and turtle. Just take out the naga and have a tauric turtle race. It would make much more sense. | |

| I can draw a Turtle taur, it's a nice idea...
Here's the thing: you make too many subspecies of existing races. You have a good imagination, and you can probably be considered better than me in most respects, but you should focus on thinking up new ideas like fauna that seems like it would fit. Most of your ideas won't "fit" because the main species already have enough subdivisions. No one cares. Just make more ideas that are original plants and animals and if you want to stretch it, a totally new race... can't expect anything to get on the wiki, but a lot better chance than things like this. Also, if it's a sentient race, go into a lot of detail- their past, history, manners, habits, cultural bits. People appreciate something that's well thought out.
But really really: Everyone is getting tired of the constant rain of nagas and naga sub breeds.
This is not a flame, merely a suggestion for the future, you have a good mind; use it for something original.

| A living building, as in every mysterious ruin ever?
"The walls... THIS PLACE IS ALIVE!!"
And there are already fungus people (fungoiids) and mushroom dryads, as well.
Anything else? Also, please just read the wiki already.

Spends most of its time in or around water We don't yet have turtle-taurs so don't combine them with nagas. Jeez. Nagas have nothing to do with turtles. They're snakes. If anything, hell, it would make more sense for you to have done a sub-species of squamataurs for these. Turtletaurs can make an interesting race if they can be defined well enough. Let's not go 'hey let's just make them horribly un-naga-like nagas'. We have mushroom people. A living building has been done in a few different ways, but it's always an interesting concept. Agreeing with Falconjudge, it would seem you haven't totally read the wiki. Please do so and maybe you can find different niches for your creativity while keeping said creativity from producing redundant things.

| Does it really matter if Turtles and snakes are different? Nagas aren't snakes, just based on them... | |

| Alright... so we agree that a turtle-taur might be interesting.... but whats the other part supposed to be?
just make it a giant turtle whose limbs have evolved to look almost humanish?

Nope. I give you a turtle-tortoise-ankylosaurtaur. It's missing the other back leg because I suck at limb placement and it kept looking awkward. The 'skirt' there is a fold of skin, which conveniently hides the privates unless they stretch out further? << Physical description: The front of the shell curves upwards, to allow its upper half to be upright without trouble, while the lower half of the front juts out a bit more, and has a hinge. When it's in danger, it can withdraw just into the shell for safety. It cannot withdraw its legs, however. If in danger, it will only peek out of the opening to see the opponent, and then withdraw and ram towards them. If they miss, the spiked tail will attempt to strike like a flail. I imagine something like this could be a variant on a turtletaur race. Which would probably be best as a sub-race of squamataurs. Thoughts?

| Piro, I'm agreeing with the others here. We don't need more nagas, and we cartainly don't need something done before.
Fish: Shit son. You rock. I like that idea of yours. Hmm, maybe the thing could be either a herbivore, like tortises, or give it flippers and make it a turtle, then it could swim fast enough to eat some meat.
The only thing I don't like is the tail. What's going on there.

The only thing I don't like is the tail. What's going on there. Thanks. The tail is there just because I had a few dinos in mind. Ankylosaurus and such. A little bitty turtle tail wasn't working for me. Of course there would be a deal of variety. Seaturtles are a neat way to go, as you brought up. - L'Ryn wrote:

Eh, IDK, I reckon itty bitty stubby turtle tails are the cutest thing ever. They complement the rest of the animal, with its stubby legs and body, and look as though they belong. A couple of turtle species have longer tails though, I think aligator snapping turtles do, but they aren't very flexible. Course, it's your idea, but I reckon there's a reason IRL turtles hardly ever have long tails, they'd get bitten off. Ow.

I do like the itty bitty turtle tails, I have no intention on depriving the world of little bitty turtle tails. Can do fine to give them more turtle-like tails than dino tails unless they had more of a build for it. Really just a trait I was thinking about for a specific sub-species and not any defining racial trait. Fix'd
