| Hi y'all. I'm not exactly into vore, but curiosity and Karbo's art attracted me to the Felarya wiki and as I find fictional worlds fascinating and ones as well-developed as Felarya rare, I've enjoyed reading the wiki a great deal.
Now, if I don't have a map I always get confused about places and all the big regions in Felarya are off the map, so I had to do something about this. Also I've been investigating the idea that a well-designed computer operating system might be able to do things which would otherwise require acquiring and learning how to use a specialist application, and charting Felarya seemed a suitable test.
The resultant chart isn't pretty, but I can still look at it and think "ohhh, that's how it is," instead of getting all confused. Also, if I wanted to make a nice map I could put it behind my work layer to guide me in where to place stuff, but really I'd have to get it in scale first. A smaller font would help me do that. Also also there are questions to ask about the placement of the mist ocean (north or south of the great rocky fields) and Threnos Island (is it that close to the Great Topiazal Rift).
So without further ado, here's the chart: http://92.243.10.190/w/n/felarya/greater-felarya-crude-chart.png

| Congratulations New Guy. That's very nice. We've been talking about wanting a new map for quite a while. And here you come, post two, and you've outdone yourself. Good job.
I'll let someone else fact check it though. >>

| Thanks. I blame converging interests, porn and computers are a pretty powerful combination. | |

It's marking where things would be, if Karbo expanded the map.

| You forgot the city of Kelermn to the west of the fairy kingdom and the great rocky fields. I think we'll need Karbo's help for the other areas. | |

| I think you did a very nice job at that ! I basically see only two things : the Grove of carnivorous plants missing ( south Ur-Sagl and slighty more to east from Ur Sagol ) and the Mist ocean which would be south of misty glade. I'm really glade you are taking interest in the universe And yeah I know I MUST update the Felarya map.... it is long overdue ^^; | |

| I have an excellent idea. Being the fabled Silent Eric, it happens a lot. Felarya will always be different in everyone's imagination. And people's ideas will of course, be left out. I propose this to you. A living map of Felarya.
The Living Map.
Alright, let's see if I can adequately express my idea. First, we take the map with an expanded border. Much as New Guy Eekee did here. Then we fill in everything we know from the wiki. And from there, each person can edit it in photoshop, or even in paint or something, and put in areas from their stories. Felarya is a big place, so we should be able to find space for everyone's things. And doing this should help spread out our work too. When we see just how many character's are residing near the Great Tree area, well, people are bound to rethink just how many nagas can fit into such a small area when there's so much more jungle out there.
The end result of this should be to have a map that has elements of everyone's creations with almost nothing left out. Small details like the landmarks, and territories staked out by various preds, as well as lasting tribes and cities that are eking their way in the dangerous Felaryan wild will all be included!
What do you guys think? | |

| Too complicated... And that would mean everyone's ideas would be have to be included as canon if it was an official map. Thus... Well, you can imagine.
Let's let Karbo figure it out. But that's just my opinion.

| Downside of that is that all the work is put on Karbo's shoulders. And you can see how quickly the map gets done when everyone is ignoring it.
I'm not saying everyone's ideas would be canon. The map itself wouldn't be automatically canon. Non canon things could easily be stricken from it. It's basically a wiki map. Everyone can contribute, but Karbo has the final word. Just like with the actual wiki. It's all about helping out. That's really the point of the idea forums after all.

| I agree with Eric's idea here, create a base map from the wiki locations then allow it to be used by the community to add their own locations, etc. The base map would remain the canon one. If anybody's ideas became canon they could easily be added to the base map. Makes a lot of sense. | |

And yeah I know I MUST update the Felarya map.... it is long overdue ^^; Thank you. ^_^ I didn't put everything in the center part. You know what I should have done with it? Use an image viewer to display the existing map instead of re-doing it. I've noted down the mist ocean detail. To place it I'll have to look up the great rocky fields and the sandfall maze again. I need a way to save it too... It being done in plan 9 means maybe I could script a save mechanism. Also, Silent Eric is giving me ideas. Edit: Kelermin inserted. will re-post it later.
