| This was an idea I had while working on the script for the third episode of the series I was talking about elsewhere, and I just wanted to run by that idea.
I don't mean Anna would be a belligerent in her beliefs, or that she would be constantly going "Praise Jesus!", hate homosexuality, or any of the other hacknyed Christian/Jew/Muslim/Scientologist-caricature cliches. Really she'd just talk to "God" a couple times and pray when she was scared or worried.
I know there's nothing in the canon to suggest that, but I know some persons who work in technical fields and the sciences, and they tend to be religous, so in my experience it wouldn't be too much of a stretch.
What's your reaction to that idea? (I haven't run this by Karbo)

| Run it by Karbo first. It's his character.
Personally, I think this is too soft for her...she would never pray with any real conviction.

| Anna strikes me as a skeptic... shes also stubborn and likes to hang on the gloom a bit since her nagafication anyway XD none of these strike me as conducive to be religious.... and I think her people don't have earth religions either... so if she was it wouldn't be one of the ones listed most likely >_<
heh, maybe the great shining torturous gods watch down upon her on there opal and divine pedestals with pleasure as she extols there great words of shell-shockingly important revelation though..... XD

| Hmm... engineering is as much a science as it is an art form. Who knows if she doesn't just make like a fictional side god in order to pass up difficult situations... However, this is unlikely in my opinion since she strikes me as too stubborn to really conform to something that is invisible. The guardians are flesh and blood and are indeed the gods of that world, yet I don't see many praying to them now do I?
Heh, if you want to know what prompted that little idiom of mine, it's actually a funny story, you see... Ah, if you want to know about it just PM me about it... I'm not going to waste precious discussion time to tell a long and drawn out story...

| Ah well I must agree with Cypress here, as I see her Anna would be maybe the more skeptic of Felarya characters ^^; She's the "do things by yourself" type and not really prone to belief unless she witness things by herself.. By the way I added eisners in the fauna2 section of the wiki | |

| Isn't she a bitter person by nature? That wouldn't suggest any kind of worship or anything. | |

| I think by looking at Karbo's avatar, you can tell she isn't religious.
No predator I've seen can scare me like that.
Brr... talk about chills.

Believe me, there are plenty of religous people with chips on their shoulders.

| Ah, but you'll remember that Crisis ate Anna's TV. So after that, the confused and aimless girl eventually drifted into the darkness that is semi-organized religion. | |

| Well, since Crisis ate Anna's TV, I'd think she would be even more bitter, driving her further from religion.
Since Crisis also has a habit of tricking Anna into eating people, I can only assume she's stopped trusting others period.

| I just Cannot see her being religious - at all. I mean, if anything, as a human, she'd probably think that the existence of the Naga's would be justification that God doesn't exist. | |

| Actually, I always assumed that the existence of nagas proved that you're crazy. Certainly Anna freaked upon seeing Crisis for the first time.
Then again, her POV wasn't exactly the best in that situation.
The only possible thing I can think of that would link her and religion is the fact that she survived Crisis's stomach. Whether by a freak accident or not, that'd make anybody a believer.

| Of course. We know this.
I said that would be the only link she would have. It wouldn't be a strong link after all. Being a scientist, I bet she'd want to figure out how this happened. Yes, it was a freak chance of Felaryan Nature. That certainly won't stop her.
I read on Deviantart once that a guardian actually did cause the freak accident. But this needs verification by Karbo before it's considered canon.

| I just don't think she'd be religious... unless she starts worshiping the Cult of Zoe, in which case she's more than welcome. | |

| Very well, how about Drayla? Pretty much stuck in one place, connected to nature, closer evidently to plant than human, it'd make sense that SHE would believe in some sort of higher being/divine order, right?
The only reason I asked in the first place is that I thought of some jokes to use somewhere in episode 4 of the series and just need a character to assign them to, and initially thought Anna would be the best one.

| hmmm i think those closely connected to nature like Drayla wouldn't either... they'd worship nature if anything, but being part of it they would more understand that its just natural not supernatural XD like Anna she is deeply rooted in something she understands and has a good grip on herself and the world around her... religion fills in those gaps. so no gaps no religion^^ | |

If your were planing on doing something of that nature. I would suggest ChloƩ, she's an angel and it makes sense that she would believe in the divine. Considering she is a Counts as Dvine being. That or one one of the Succubus Sisters. The succubus sisters not so much as they would see god as a bad guy.
