Rusalki are a breed of all female demons that can be found in Felarya. Like their cousins the fire and frost succubi, they are considered extremely beautiful with perfect features. Unlike them, though, their horns are highly reduced to small nubs that are typically hidden by the hair. When out of the water they can pass for a normal human, save for that their ears are slightly pointed like those of fairies, mermaids, or even elves, as well as sometimes having bluish or greenish tinged skin. They also appear to always be soaking wet. Should they be out of the water for too long and become dry they will lose most of their magical abilities while at the same time becoming vulnerable to most weapons.
In the water though, Rusalki are a different matter entirely. Their skin becomes slightly translucent while their eyes glow as if filled with green fire. They are at their most powerful when submerged and are capable of manipulating water as if it were merely an extension of their bodies. They are also capable of manipulating their size by absorbing water and even alter their "state" by becoming as solid as ice or even as formless as mist. Young Rusalki are already capable of performing impressive water magic when they are born, ranging from forming watery whips from their fingertips to icy armor.
A typical Rusalka, despite being a rare sight, can usually be found near a freshwater source. When they sense a mortal human, elf, neko, etc..., they will lounge about seductively out of the water, waiting to be found. They are capable of altering their appearances to suit their "prey". They can sense how "sinful" a being is, and if one is extremely sinful, the Rusalka will try her best to seduce them into the water. They prefer to go after males, though females are not entirely exempt. Once in the water, there is little chance of surviving as Rusalki are extremely voracious and will change their size accordingly to "fit" their meal.
Should a Rusalka not consider one sinful, it is actually rather easy to communicate with them as they are quite social and enjoy chatting with others. One could even swim by one without risk, unless it was extremely hungry and willing to look the other way when it comes to your sinfulness.
Interestingly, they dislike seawater and in fact appear to be burned by it. They are also quite rare in Hell due to limited water sources, and thus are not active participators in its politics. They are known to be quite friendly with mermaids and other aquatic races.
