| The guy in a government suit keeps requesting deletion of thread after thread.
Can't you mods just give him deletion of all the threads he made once and for all? It's obvious he doesn't want them here, and it's getting a little annoying to see him coming back to request more threads deleted.
It'd be best if this was just over.
(I purposely mangled his name on the thread title. He doesn't want to be related to this place anymore, so after he's gone, no one should be able to tell I was talking about him.)

(I purposely mangled his name on the thread title. He doesn't want to be related to this place anymore, so after he's gone, no one should be able to tell I was talking about him.) I don't know if there are any official rules on a situation like this, nor can I speak for anyone else other than myself, but I am opposed to simply blindly going around and deleting all of his threads/posts, for several reasons.
- It would take quite a lot of time for us to delete every single post he has made; we'd have to go into his profile and open roughly 412 different links and click at least two buttons in each of those links in order to delete that particular post. I don't know about everyone else, but I have much better things to do than to spend a few hours repetitively clicking two buttons.
- Other people have discussed things in most of those threads; at best deleting his posts would leave huge gaps in topics and make it all but impossible to follow. At worst deleting his threads would remove whole conversations, and we'd either have to carefully copy them over to new threads (which would require even more of our precious time) or lose them entirely.
- He discussed these ideas in an open forum. We might wish to take some of those ideas, or portions of them, rename (since he no longer wants to be associated with this place) and use them, in much the same way that people will read things in blogs, and then expand upon the idea(s) in their own articles.
- Removing all his stuff would set a precedent that would suggest that we delete all the posts of anyone who requests it of us. It might not be so bad if that person only has a few dozen posts, but what if two or three users, each with a thousand posts or more, asks that of us?

| I have a feeling he doesn't exactly want to leave yet.
It's not like his threads are being constantly being revived, right? Things should be ok for now.

| He's under the delusion that he's important. Why else would he make a whole thread solely for his "departure"? | |
