The girls breath in Felarya...

There is no toothbrushes or such in Felarya for the giantesses, right? So shouldn't their breath stink...? Or is it the Felaryan magic keeping their breath warm and nice to smell before you get eaten?

So what's BSing science about a natural antiseptic? Terpinen-4-ol is a terpene found in Narrow-leaved Tea-tree plants, that is an antiseptic. In truth it all depends on the concentration of the active substance within the Lamiole's sap; as the plant is rather a large I can't imagen a human carrying leaf but small cuttings to chew on.

Does toothpaste and mouthwash work that easily?

Don't forget that alcohol is a very powerful antibiotic. I mean, if someone spits in a cup of liquor, the alcohol (20 proof?) kills the bacteria in like a few seconds (or some really short timeframe).

Coupled with that plant, there could be a very effective mouthwash/cleaning substance.

Bad breath is probably an issue, but it's not like it's impossible to work around / mitigate.

The main concern for Giant Predators, however, is most probably not decay of the teeth: They aren't really eating the typical things that will tear apart teeth and gums in short order. It's that they're bound to grind their teeth down to nerves / nubs, unless teeth are constantly replaced for them.

Me, I've mentioned that my naga Ruby has rather unsavory breath along with somewhat yellowed teeth from lack of hygiene. An unlucky mermaid that had the misfortune of smelling it firsthand likened it to a "really bad mixed drink."

well yellow teeth are actually a bit healthier than white teeth, because white teeth are pretty sensitive and brittle, of course yellow teeth can also be unhealthy, and will rot without care (but would teeth rot in felarya?). The bad breath comes mostly from the tongue more so than the teeth.

well inevitably I think some predators chew. Not all of the sentient preds are 100ft + tall.
