| I doubt Canopy Fairies have an anti-magic stomach (if they do, I call foul play on this), so there is the possibility of escaping. Also, if you happen to have a concealed dagger, then you're free to unleash your inner slasher villain. | |

| Probably not, I was referring mostly to the Echydins. "....then the echydin will instantly teleport you in to its stomach! Most anti-magic protections can't counter that because the spell is actually not cast on the prey but on the space directly around it. Once trapped in the stomach the prey has little to no chance of getting out as the echydin possesses a very tough and stretchy stomach which nullifies magic and a rather fast metabolism."Oh, and remember they make no noise either, so unless you have an amazing sense of smell, it can sneak up on you too. | |

| Yeah... I say we should nerf them. Or not use them. There's nothing that forces us to use one of them in a story. | |

| Y'know, if you developed some technology that messes up physics majorly, that could be a way of saying "up chuck me now unless you want to be miniature void" different things come with different alternatives | |

They don't, but I'd imagine their mastery of dimensional physics could fuck with your teleportation. And yeah, I already mentioned the concept of attacking a canopy fairy from the inside. I mean, it's a really dumb idea to swallow a person whole and conscious, unless you can negate their magic and have disarmed them. Even though some characters like Crisis have stomachs strong enough to withstand a grenade, remember that sharpened knives pierce better than shrapnel.

I already used one. The way I see it (as in the limitations that I put in place)... an Echydin has to have a direct line of sight on an immobile target, be within a certain range, and needs enough time to use its teleportation. I say a minute or so of focus sounds like a fair amount of time. Also, the target should have a clue that they're being hunted by some kind of tingly feeling or weightlessness long before they are teleported, giving them time to mobilize and disrupt the focus of the Echydin.

Well butter my butt and call me a biscuit; that's a good idea. Maybe it needs a thread.

No, Zion. I'd have magic in it, if I knew WTF does it do. I can kill a huge green dragon just using a 7th level wizard myself in D&D but I keep getting told magic does NOT work like that and my vision of magic is THAT askew, so I don't bother with magic because it's impossible for us to ALL agree on what magic can or can't do as has been consistently proven. If I started on what ONE wizard can do everyone would want to add what THEIR wizard can do. I know you do, Zion. I'm not saying you can't use wizards- but wizards vary by person and none of us is more right than the rest. Maybe everyone is a wizard- but then I can't count on wizards being able to do ANYTHING in particular. As for Echydins, I like it that way. I'll admit I'm that guy who developed a plan to kill Notys, but I like it that way, such an insane challenge that things... you get me, don't you? It's cheap, but it raises the ante. If teleportation on sight is enabled, I get to be as bad as I want to.
