Orphan Neko Kitten

This is just a thought that had occured to me, but how would orphaned neko kittens occur in Negav, assuming the parents are not adventurers, thus didn't die in the jungle or wherever outside the city. I was thinking that some of those orphan kittens may cause problems for stands, since they'd likely steal fresh food.

Um... they would die in whatever other ways people die.

Knowing that the neko community is often shunted off to lower areas, the parents could have been killed by criminals.

Perhaps Negav has an orphanage?

to tell the truth I haven't an idea what would happen to an orphen Neko

I guess death by criminals would be a cause. What about death due to being very poor, living in the streets, and not getting proper nutrition? I know that one is shaky.

Who would want to orphan a neko kitten anyway...... unless you intend to feed it to your orphaned nagling. Unfortunately every time I try this they just become best friends or something else that makes me want to vomit.

I just use them as fule for my tank.

An orphanage does sound like something one would find in Negav, given the fact that losing parents must be a rather common occurrence. Whether or not Nekos might be segregated into lower-class orphanages would be a question, or if they'd be sent to Nekomura.

Possible caused a neko become orphan in Negav:
The parents died in accident or die from exhaustion due to overworking (When you are poor you tend to have many jobs)
killed by someone else (already said)
Abandoned by its parents it's possible.
Kidnapped when they were too young to remember.

The existence of an orphanage or a social structure to take care of orphan children no matter their race is necessary because letting wondering alone in the street they can have bad influence and start a criminal life.

I know, we could feed them to the crisis like celts and st00f!

well I guess if theres an Orphenage for Humans in Negav then there might as well be one for Neko

Ontopic, I would adopt a neko kitten in an instant if I could. Chances are, living in Negav is pretty pricey so you'd have to have a high wage job to survive. Not surprised if there are a few street beggars and orphanaged kittens.

Something tells me that considering the nature of Felarya there are many orphans about, surely there are a few orphanages in Negav where children of all species wait to be adopted, and there are many offworld visitors who just may decide to take one for their own. However it's not all sunshine and rainbows there, I'm sure some criminals from the lower sections of Negav may recruit them to assist in their crime sprees, as sweatshop workers, or as predator bait, though some preds may find using children as a shield disgusting and eat the criminal instead.

But they will be sold to offworlders as "talking pets"...

for memebers of the 605th Militia they have a building were orphans are taken and provided food, clean water, shealter, beds, and heck even education. though crimminals beware if you try to enter a building of nearly any kind that has the red Phonixe and Golden hammer and sickle symbol with crimminal intent your demise would be sure to follow for there arm armed security gaurds and the teachers do pack heat.

Nekos could have litters and not put as much value into keeping track of every child they have. Those abandoned children could be picked up by a privately owned business that keeps the neko orphans in a pound-like enviornment and trains them for meager jobs. Those trained orphans can be sold to wealthy people as servants, or cheap temporary laborers. It's not quite "slave trade" because the orphans make money, albeit very little money.

Just an idea. I hope it hasn't been suggested already, I couldn't bring myself to read through every post.

An orphaned Neko Kitten would probably be my greatest weakness. D:
