Starlight Shifters

"The moment you lay eyes on it, you would hae thought you just saw an angel"

One of the rarest and most beautiful divine creatures on Felarya. For those lucky to catch a glimpse of one in its true form describe them having long serpentine bodies, 60 to 120 feet in length covered in white scales with gold markings, with four white feathery wings and the graceful head like a Chinese long dragon. These creatures tend to stay high in the skies of Felarya, covered in white flame commonly known as “angel fire”. This fire has mistaken these dragons as shooting stars as they glide through the night skies.

“Angel fire” is a mystical flame that cannot destroy or harm on contact. Instead this fire can heal wounds, bring life to the deceased (like turning a desert into a flourishing oasis, or revive a dying animal.), and can even be manipulated into a deterrent against hostile intentions (if you punch your enemy in the face, you will take the damage, not the enemy).

Starlights are sentient creatures and are capable of telepathic communication. When encountered most of these dragons will show no hostilities towards you, depending on how pure your spirit and your intentions are. It is said that they are peaceful creatures, and would prefer not to engage in a conflict unless their lives are threatened or if they are approached by someone with a dark spirit/motives. In reality these traits vary a lot from one dragon to another. One thing for sure is that these creatures prefer to keep themselves hidden, so they use a shape shifting trick and transform into any living creature they choose.

A hint for the wary adventurer: most Stardusts in their alternate form will have one thing in common, they will have white coloring or gold markings somewhere on their bodies.

MORE IDEAS WILL FOLLOW IN TIME

Personal comment - Im a little iffy about the angelfire able to revive those who die, recently anyway. and there may be some debate bout he healing properties due to the soil able to do that as well. but I open to discussin whatever suggestions come from it.

Felarya stops all forms of raising the dead healing or otherwise. As for the Isolon Eye it does not repel shapshifting it repels large predatory creatures. The gates to Negav have powerful detection spells placed on them.

I see, so what your saying is that the Angelfire is pretty much useless?

If something in Felarya dies or is dead, it's dead. There's no bringing it back.
If something is dying, it's not dead. It's in the process of becoming dead, since it's just on the way and now there yet, it can still be healed.

Ok, to the ideas.
For the "shooting star dragon", I'd say that they'd be better if:
A) They weren't a dragon.
B) Were some sort of divine creature.

Artifact: The Tablet of Kaletha (This thing is in desperate need of a new name, suggestions?)

The Tablet is a powerful artifact, it bestows apon its owner a single wish, much like a genies lamp,
At first I thought; It's a tablet of deus ex machina.

except alot more restricted into what it may grant you.
And then I thought; maybe it's not a deus ex machina. You may want to expand on these restrictions/

but finding this artifact isn easy... the tablet will break up into pieces (like a puzzle) and then scatter itself all over felarya. the pieces could be anywhwrre or disguised as anything. but all the pieces share a unique energy signature, which makes the chances of finding all the pieces just slightly easier to find. once all the pieces are put together your request may be granted.

No, really:

lol, what can I say... I have a weak spot for dragons sweatdrop
a divine creature we can agree on, though Id rather not end up with Angels (not a fan of heaven and hell)

Well thank god its not a bad plot device, I had pretty much run out of ideas on how to find Orobus. he's not exactly a well known character (and with good reason, didnt want to end up in antoher guardian conflict with Karbo and the forum) but I also didnt want my protagonist searching aimlessly around Felarya with out some sort of clue.

And true I do need to expand on the restrictions:

lets see, the obvious basics: no killing of flesh and blood, no making people fall in love, raising the dead is pointless.
Others: yuo cant rule the world, cant contain "the ultimate power" bcause lets face it wont do you any good... Im sure more will come to me, but Im also letting this be a part of the felarya universe, not just my story. I hope that others will chime in as well on this.

I have no Idea what the zelda thing is about, but came as a little harsh (no offence). I realize thats alittle obvious, but I had to say something.

If I meant an angel I would have said so.
I was thinking some sort of Divine beast.

Hmm... If you actually do come up with another way to find Orobus, I strongly suggest using it instead. Using something like this because you can't think of anything else, well, it seems a little weak, storywise. It doesn't create suspense or tension.

Here's a suggestion; It's possible that Orobus would ahve left traces of his entrance to and movement around Felarya. You could have your character search for these to end up finding this "Orobus" in the end.

Sorry about the triforce thing, it was a joke.

Anyway, it really does sound like the triforce. Find all the bits and you get a wish. That's the triforce in a nutshell.

I know that, I'll just need to re-work it a bit.

only problem with that is orobus's body was turned into a statue and hidden somewhre, and his soul resides in a gem in posession of the protagonist. So the objective is to find the body and reunite it with the soul

if something better does come Im sure to add it in as soon as I can.

As others pointed, the part about them reviving the dead wouldn't really work in Felarya, but your description is nice and visually, the idea of having shiny creatures flying high into the sky is interesting Smile

Thank you, ive been meaning to modify their abilities a bit, its hard to do when felarya does alot of the healing on its own.
