You know, with this political talk going on, I think Felarya would a nicer place to live, even if everybody is drunk.

Felarya is a nicer place to live in regards to Politics. In terms of Survival, I'd rather throw myself at Catachan, from orbit, naked, with a dead rat in my hand. I couldn't make a friend there for the life of me.

How'd politics get in here? I love an in-depth discussion as much as the next guy, but, seriously!

Anywhos, in terms of seriousness, drunken preds are unlikely. After all, how would you get enough alcohol, especially considering most preds (nagas, for instance) aren't exactly the scientific people needed to produce alcohol effectively.

Best plan ever: humans make a ton of pure alcohol and somehow get it to the preds. Frenzied eating? Maybe. Lack of coordination and overall decrease of hunting skills? Oh yeah.

The brewing process is about as simple as the cooking process, though it would indeed be a feat of engineering for humans to set up a firepit large enough to heat the ingredients, it's well within the ability of a giant...

Besides, brewing ale is a tradition literally older than history.

I doubt there'd be frenzied eating any more than normal, but yeah, the coordination would be off enough to make a giant pred actually moderately survivable at a mixed-size party.

Well, brewing is slightly harder than cooking. After all, one must be sure to actually gather yeast. Besides, I don't think a naga would really take an interest to it, anyhows.

One theory of how a Naga might get drunk:

Some humans have been out drinking heavily all day (Celebrating something). By late evening they are all very very drunk having drunk several bottles of vodka and several barrels of ale. They decide, in their inebriated state that they could easily beat a naga in a fight single handed (Alcohol tends to do this to people I've noticed).

Half an hour later after stumbling loudly around the Forests of Felarya they encounter Crisis who quickly gulps them down. Digesting them would also absorb all the alcohol in them, almost like doing shots at this scale.

People ask me if I'm drunk a lot.

I don't think drunken Felaryans would go on an eating frenzy. I'm not too knowledgeable as to the effects of alchohol, but unless it actually makes you hungry, I think eating would be one of the last things a drunk predator would have on her mind.

I'd imagine a drunk pred would be little different from a drunk human. IE: impulsive, constantly spitting out mangled inner thoughts, vomiting with the slightest catalyst, unable to think coherently...

Come on, we're ALL too creative to go with the typical "eating frenzy" thing!

Another way would be for the Chilotaur Nix to get her hands on a large supply of alcohol (preferably Scrumble or something equally potent) and for Katrika to get curious and ask to try some. She tries to match Nix drink for drink and gets plasted! Nix has been known to guide human adventurers for the right "incentive" so it could happen.

However from personal experiance I can tell you a drunk Katrika would not be very interested in eating. She tends to sing off-key very loudly and go looking for Anna!

Because when she is drunk Katrika is a LOT more insistant! Anna tells me that few things are worse than being grappled by a drunk naga trying to kiss you!
