| Note: this first character, originally a revision of Constantine, ending up becoming a whole new person. i tried making him much more relatable, with more emphasis on humanizing him, and giving him a real life and personality, while still giving him a chance of survival. I would really appreciate any critiques, and i hope he peaks your interest Character: Corporal Litley “knocks” Hathen Species: Human Height: 5’11 Weight: 79kgs Skin color: white Hair color: Brown/Shaved Eye color: Blue Age: 21 Background: Born in a large metropolis, was drafted into the military at age 16, where he was stationed at a supply depot and taught to fix all types of military weapons, equipment, and vehicles. He was there for 3 years, then due to lack of manpower, was trained as a gunner for multiple vehicles in the service, which he operated for 2 years, then, as the war took a massive turn for the worst, he was sent with a small convoy, to scout a new world to determine whether or not the government could be moved there safely. On arrival, things were relatively uneventful, but as the convoy progressed through a set of ruins, they entered a jungle. After they entered the jungle, they were soon set upon by massive creatures, which began attacking the soldiers in the convoy. He concentrated his fire on one of the beasts, which soon gained its interest, and frozen in fear, Litley kept firing until the monster barreled into the vehicle he was in, knocking him from the turret, into a tree, and down a steep hill, where he was knocked unconscious. He woke up with a pounding headache, and what felt like bruised ribs, and realized that there was no way he could get back up the hill. He noticed that there wasn’t any gunfire, or sounds of movement coming from up above, so he tried the radio, but realized his was broken. He decided to find a way up, or around this hill, to try and regroup with the convoy. Personality: Litley is an overall friendly guy; he enjoys talking to people, and making new friends. He shows respect to his superiors, and follows orders obediently, and tries to be the best soldier he can be. When working at the supply depot, Litley met a girl, and ended up having a son, who he loves very much, and is very protective over him, seeing as Litley’s own parents were killed in a bombing run on the city they lived in. The child, named Taver, is currently at the base Litley was moved to, to prepare for his current mission. Litley panics in some situations, and isn’t a very good leader, but he is very patient, and is good at explaining things. Litley is afraid of fire, due to seeing men and women burned to death at the hands of flamethrower wielding enemies, and dislikes the idea of demons, and succubae, and other dark entities, due to stories he was told as a child. Litley also earned himself the nickname knocks, because one night when he was on leave, he got rather drunk, and knocked on every door in the base, unable to find his barracks, and eventually passed out outside the quarters of the base commander with an empty bottle of alcohol, and a big grin on his face. Litley is also attempting to quit smoking, realizing it as a bad habit, and he sees it as a bad example for his son. Likes: Fixing damaged and broken equipment, spending time with his son. Likes a good movie now and again and also loves making jokes, and hearing new ones. He also enjoys reading, his favorite genres being history, and science fiction. Dislikes: Getting up close and personal with an enemy, hates flying in aircraft, and doesn’t like a lot of insects, specifically centipedes and creatures of that sort. Skills: Litley is about an average soldier when it comes to fighting, he is a decent enough shot with an assault rifle, or handgun, but doesn’t have much experience with heavy weapons, or explosives. He was trained to fight on the many types of terrain on his home planet, so he knows how to survive in deserts, jungles, tundra’s etc. felaryan predators of course don’t play a factor in that training. Where litley really shines is with technology. He can fix vehicles, weapons, equipment, and he loves to learn about new tech. Besides being one of the convoys gunners, he was also assigned to repair any problems any of the soldiers had with their equipment, and to fix any of the vehicles should the need arise.

| This is much better. As a character, he is a lot more interesting, and I can't wait to see if he ever makes it back home to his family. Although he might want to quit smoking sharpish, especially if he goes anywhere near the giant tree... | |

| Character: Cayden Blackmer
Age: 79
Species: Human
Sex: Male
Height 6’2
Skin color: White/Tan
Hair color and style: Black hair, short and usually somewhat messy
Facial Hair: Usually some sort of stubble
Eye Color: Grey
Other Characteristics: Due to the nature of felarya, Cayden looks as if he is in his late 20s, early 30s, rather than looking 79. He has had a long and hard life, fighting for every inch, and because of this, his body is a storybook of fights and adventures. Cayden is muscular, has high cheekbones and a thin, wiry muscled physique
Personality: Cayden is a quiet, and observant man, and will be very honest to the people he actually trusts. He can be very bitter, and borderline depressed especially while in Negav, possibly holding onto the past when it’s better let go. He has learned not to show emotion, having a very effective poker face, and he is a very hard person to get worked up, but when he is, he is absolutely vicious and due to this lifestyle he has a hard time expressing affection. The only people Cayden has a problem with lying to are his sons and the very few people he calls friends. He is very protective of his sons, them being the most important things in the world to him, and he loves them very much, despite the lack of open affection. Cayden is a hardened criminal, for lack of a better term, but he has never enjoyed doing what he does, and merely sees it as what he needs to do to survive, and tries not to get involved with more than is necessary. He has brought this lifestyle into the wilderness, being the dangerous and brutal place it is. He sees nearly all man eaters, be it kensha beast, naga, or giant, as nothing but animals, they may not be stupid, but they are nonetheless animals. Most of the time they are better left avoided unless absolutely necessary because not only is it extremely dangerous, but the resources it would take to kill or incapacitate one of them aren’t readily available, and if they are, then there is no point in wasting them on something like that unless you have to. He has done his best to teach this lifestyle to his adopted sons, Fanek and Ferrick. For reasons unknown, even to his own sons, he has a definite soft spot for Inus. Dispite his view as all mean eaters as animals, he has an intense hatred for fairies, and views them as something to be killed should the opportunity arise. Likes: his boys, the few friends he keeps, Inus, the dagger he keeps with him. Dislikes: his current lifestyle, himself for teaching his kids to become killers, Fairies.
Skills: One of the most valuable tools Cayden has is his extensive knowledge of felarya’s flora and fauna, from personal experiences, to information he has been given by fellow mercenaries and criminals. He can operate most firearms and weapons fairly well, but he prefers close quarters work, whether it is hand to hand, or to weapons like submachine guns. He relies on planned strategies when he can, recognizing that charging in guns blazing is a sure fire way to end up dead. Cayden is a skilled liar, having had decades to practice it. In addition to a SMG, he may carry a pistol as well as a few grenades (when they can actually obtain them), a mix of fragmentation and flash, and a dagger he has always carried with him for as long as his sons can remember. He has taught his sons to use rifles as well.
History: Not much is known about Cayden’s past, even his sons don’t know everything. It is clear that he grew up in the underground, and a bad upbringing it must have been. When he was in his late 30s he joined a mercenary group, while not known for the quality of their members, got the job done more often than not. These mercenaries were either killed, or moved on to better things after 10 or so years. When Cayden was 61, he took the identical twin brothers; Ferrick and Fanek under his wing. At the time they were only 8. Whenever they asked about their biological father, Cayden has always told them that they were good friends and that when their father died, he asked him to take care of his children. What Cayden did to support to support the 3 of them wasn’t foreign to the twins, but he never gave them details. When they turned 16 he decided that it was time for them to get out of that city, and signed up for one last job. He was to be one of the men providing security to an off world dance troupe that was to go into the wild. They were led by a lunatic who wouldn’t heed the warnings of the people he talked to about it but his dancers were 100% loyal to him and despite the dangers went through with the plan. The first show they were to perform, at least half of the mercenaries abandoned them, in the middle of it including Cayden, Ferrick and Fanek. They made their way through the harsh wilderness, utilizing Caydens knowledge, who in turn taught his sons all he knew. They took up residence in the ruins of Ur Sagol. They made their home next to the outer walls in a building in which they dug a small basement, and a backdoor for emergencies. They began ambushing trade caravans, and small groups of people to garner supplies, as well as occasionally collecting food and plants from the wilderness itself. After 9 years of doing this though, while not having much hope for himself, he wants better for his kids, wanting them to make something of themselves instead of ending up an old man who has done nothing but kill steal and hurt people his entire life.
Other: Ranging from once, to three times a year, Cayden goes into the wilderness on his own, the time span he is gone varies from days to a month. Sometimes he comes back fine, but sometimes he comes back in poor condition, due to the jungle being the dangerous place it is. | |
