Possibility of IM

You can all stone me to death, hang me from the gallows, or whatever your preferred method of execution is later but I'm asking it anyways.

Why can't we have an IM (Instant Messaging) system of the forums? My logic is is that not everyone has Skype and sometimes it's annoying that we have to get off to go to Skype just so we can bounce ideas off of each other without having the interruptions of the usual chat. It'd also take fights off the usual forum since the arguers can solve it off of the chatbox.

Just an idea.

I like the idea. It can save the trouble of your PM inbox filling up and how many times have you been in he middle of a conversation, going away and coming back to find out that what the last person you were talking to's response is buried under more text?
