Roxio Game Capture HD Pro issues

I've pretty much been to every other place in search of a fix for this, but have returned with no luck. Like any future let's player or game commentator, I went out of my way and bought the new Roxio Game Capture hardware/software. The first time I booted it up, the program wouldn't open and would continue to not work until after I had to install a fresh copy of Windows 7 after a failed dual-booting install. The program opened and I was greeted with glitchy audio and video, as well as lag. I had set the quality to the middle and low settings with the same result. If anyone here knows a fix, it would be gladly appreciated.
