I was just wondering, how big are the rivers in Felarya surposed to be? Keeping in mind that Felarya is a gaint world, what would seem to a typical river to gaints would an ocean to human sized characters, which only raises questions of the practicality of trying to cross one in a boat, not only could it take several hours to cross (and thus you have to put up with any mermaid attacks for that long) but the river currents would be over 100 times stronger than any river we know of, the rivers by themselves could be enougth to kill you and destroy most sea worthy ships....unless your ship is a Felarya tree branch

Of course there are bridges in Felarya like the one at Negav, but if the Motamo river is also huge, then how big is the Negav entrance bridge? The size of the channel crossing?

Of course the rivers in Felarya might not really be rivers from the gaint perspective, they could just be small creeks or streams. it's just that from a human's perspective a Felarya stream is big enougth from their perspective to be a river, and since humans made the maps, they called them rivers.
But then if they were just streams, Mermaids would stick out like a sore thumb because they would be barely submerged in the shallow (from their perspective) water.

Or it could be a combination of both, rivers such as the Chordoni river are massive from human's perspective while the Motamo river by Negav is much smaller to allow Negav to have what would seem for humans to be a traditional sized bridge.

Well there are some truly gigantic Rivers like the Jewel river. If you stand on one side you'd be hardly able to see the opposite bank. Yet the map is pretty inaccurate in that regard, with some huge discrepancies size-wise ^^;
Both the shard and motamo river are large though and would appear as massive rivers in our world but I wouldn't say oceans ^^

Isn't it true that if you stand on one bank of the Mississippi River you can't see the other side?

From the pictures I've seen, you can see the other side of the river, though it might depend on what part of the river.

I've driven across the Mississippi. The bridge was about a mile long I think. Just to give you some vague idea. That river is HUGE. It is difficult to see the other side. It looks almost like a sea. Its Felarya size! ...Which means Felaryan rivers should be bigger by default. XD

According to wikipedia, the largest river in the world is the Amazon River, with an average discharge of about 209 000 cubic meters per second, greater than the next seven largest rivers in the world combined. The Mississipi River is ranked ten with an average discharge of only 16 792 cubic meters per second. So I guess we could use this for reference.
