| Have these even been done before...I mean it seems likely this has been done...but only one way to find out...
Name: Kaonno Size: 4-5ft Threat: Low-Moderate (High to Humans and other smaller creatures) Locations: Various tropical regions of Felarya, however the highest concentration of them is within a marsh called the 'Mosquito Nest'. It is advised that you stay well away from this area...
Description: Humanshape mosquito creatures that have vampiric impulses and appetites. They're infamous to predators for their irritating bite wounds and the annoying 'buzz' sound their wings make. Kaonno are a race of prodominatly female insects that make their nest in the humid and tropical parts of Felarya. Their choice of location is partly due to their inability to tolerate cold tempretures (the minimum they can withstand is somewhere below 40 degrees Ferinheight), as such they tend to stay put in these areas and rarely venture any farther than this. Kaonno are voracious blood-suckers and will not hesitate to feed on any passers by, the males however do NOT need blood (contrary to popular belief) and instead feast on smaller insects. Kaonno's are usually described as having a succubi like disposition, and as a result male victims tend to be easy targets to them. Because of the easy way they can manipulate men, Kaonno's tend to treat their mates rather poorly and are often the dominant partner during the mating process.
Kaonno are about the size of an avergae size adult female, they have wide brimmed anteenea and thin wings in the same build as the fairies but with a more ellipitcal look. This allows their wings to carry them farther and faster. Kaonno tend to weigh alot less than the average human this is so they can fly faster and fly farther distances. They have a proboscus underneath their tounge with is like a hyperdermin needle of sorts, when a Kaonno is about to feed, she opens her moutn and the extension shoots out from under her tounge, piercing the flesh on impact. This usually happens so fast that the victim has no idea they are haing their blood sucked. To prevent the blood from cloting they inject a chemical that stops blood clots, inadvertently this is what causes their itchy and annoying bites, for the chemical can irritate the skin. As the blood flows in through the straw-like extension, it is drained into the esophogus where it travels to the Kaonno's stomach, the blood is then broken down and converted into nutrients for the Kaonno to use. On rare occasions, Kaonno do eat solid foods.
A Kaonno's stomach is rather elastic and is capable of strecthing, but it lacks nerves, so occasionally she'll look down at her stomach during her feast just to see how full she's getting. Kaonno can drink about 1/3rd her weight in blood, and her stomach swells up to accomodate the large amounts of the crimson fluid. Flight is sometimes possible after a feast, but this usually depends on how much a Kaonno drank to determine whether she'll be able to fly away or not. Kaonno's appitite for blood drastically increases when they are pregnant. Thus they become extremely bothersome during the summer, it has been known that dozens of Kaonno will tenaciously try to feed on just one Naga, and after which that Naga will end up with a large amount bites on her body. After several weeks of frenzied blood sucking, she will come to lay her eggs in a pond or some other body of water. The eggs will hatch into aquatic larvea that in turn are part-time parasites to Mermaids (They suck their blood). Males tend to develop alot more quickly than females do and are usually the 1st to emerge as adults. Some species of Kaonno are said to be carriers of a nameless disease that is rumored to be extremely deadly...but whether this is true or not is up for speculation...
Predators aren't usually effected by the Kaonno's feeding habits excluding the bite wounds. Humans and Nekos on the other hand are at high risk of serious reprocussions, being Kaonno's drink 1/3rd their weight in blood, this usually means that mostly all of the victim's blood will be drained from their body either resulting in anemia or instant death. As a safety precaution, it is advised that when venturing in the jungle you carry with you a can of body spray, for it's proven that Kaonno can't stand the smell of it, traditional bug spray is also capable of injuring them, and Kaonno are also detered by fire. When camping in the jungle besure to have some type of bug repelling inscent nearby, so is to keep them at bay until you move on. A common remedy for 'Kaonno Bites' is usually an herb by the name of 'Allo' which can be found in numerous regions in the jungle, rubbing the plant on the bites is enough to ease the itching and discomfort for 24-48 hours tops
-------
Name: Ixodani (pronounced, Ick-so-dah-ni) Size: 4ft Threat: Low-Moderate (High to Humans and other small creatures)
Descrpition: A humanoid tick-like critter, that are said to be cloesly related to Driddlers. And are also known for their tastes in blood. They are external parasites much like Kaonno, but do not use a proboscus to drink blood. Rather Ixodani use their razor sharp teeth to get what they want. Ixodani are equal in female and male numbers and both genders equally rely on blood to survive (though more so to females). Ixodani only reach a maximum of 4 ft in height but are also a tad bit heavier than Kaonno, this could be because they do not rely on wings, but some say it's for other reasons.
Ixodani are about 4 ft in height and can weigh as much as a fully matured human male, though they are surprisingly lithe and can be stealthy little critters and have been often called 'Parasitic Ninjas' because of their remarkable stealth. They tend to have a spot on the back which usually differs from species to species, this spot also determines how old they are being as they grow the spot darkens overtime. The creature has 2 sets of arms and a sible pair of legs (total of 6 limbs in all). These extra set of arms make it easier for them to scale trees or larger hosts. Ixodani do NOT have eyes.
Ixodani feed primarily on blood but unlike the Kaonno, they don't use a proboscus to feed on the substance, Instead they use their razor sharp teeth to bore into the flesh. As said above an Ixodani doesn't have eyes to see it's host, instead they rely on physical contact. Once they have grabbed onto their target they simply use their teeth and carefully bite into their flesh, then they'll lick the edges of the wound coating it in a chemical that stops blood clots and numbs the flesh in the area. Once the chemical has been laid down they then stick their head into the wound and begin to gorge themselves on blood, because they spend a long period of time beneathe the skin Ixodani switch their resperation so that they take in oxygen through their skin. Their teeth curve back making it difficult to remove an Ixodani from the skin once it's latched on.
After they've gotten their fill they drop off and digest their meal, but they don't usually release the host until after several days (a maximum of 1 week has been recorded as the longest time an Ixodani stayed attached to a host). Ixodani usually feed on Nagas, Sphinxes, Harpies, Fairies and occasionally Dryads. They have been known to prey on humans and nekos, and those who are bitten by and Ixodani usually die from blood loss, or fatal bite wound. a Female uses the blood she feeds on to nourish her eggs once they've been fertilized, after which she'll lay them in underbrush, but will die shortly after spawning. The offspring are relatively tiny only being about the size of a toddler and will congregate in the tall grass or bushes, once a host passes by the latch on a feed. After which they release the host and molt their skin, emerging as adults.
Like Kaonno, Ixodani are rumored to carry a set of diseases, but yet again there is no true evidence to back these claims.

| Yeah, so I gave it some thought and decided to make this my idea thread seeing as I have so many all the time...
Oh well, those of you who were in the Crossover RP will recognize these guys
Vampramorpha
Size: 4-8ft Threat: Moderate-High Location(s): Felaryan Hell, in rare cases they have been sighted in the Carcassed Garden as well as Deeper Felarya possibly from crossing the border between Hell and Felarya.
Database: Humanoid rabbits who are actually rather benevolent...during the day, but at night their personality does a complete 180 and they go completely awry. Vampramorphas are known for being quite a rarity since they usually only appear in Hell and are said to be regular employess there, working as away to make the toruture of souls more agonizing. But as of lately (since 200 years ago to be exact) Vampramorpha have began to appear in Felarya and have made a general mess of it. This is not only due to their ravenous appetite for flesh and blood but also their rather alarming pace to produce offspring, being able to have an extended family of about 70 or so in just a several months. Vampramorpha are balanced in the gender category, meaning there is an equal amount of males to females. They can be plafyul lil' critters being they like to play tricks on alot of people, and are considered to be 'prank masters'. They are also noted for being very dutiful servents despite their off the wall personality it is even said that a demon managed to repel an invading army with the use of his all Vampramorpha servents. They are capable of becoming servents to mortals but only if they have a strong bond to the mortal, normally the servitude of a Vampramorpha required the master be a demon of noble descent.
Vampramorpha are slightly taller than normal humans, with adults reaching nearly 6-8 ft in height. Their most recognizable feature is their rabbit ears, which correspond with the color of their hair. These ears are sensitive and are capable of hearing sounds alot better than that of the average human or nekojin. Vampramorpha use these ears to detect victims from afar and to see if others are in the area (be they friend or foe). They usually have bat like wings sprouting from their back and are able to retract them into their body if need be, though flight doesn't really play a big part in their movement from place to place, their usually just fine with running since they're rather quick footed by nature. Some Vampramorpha are able to induce madness on their victims by the use of a type of hypnotism.
A Vampramorpha usually feeds at night (much like traditional vampires) and can drain a human to the point of severe anemia. They also feast on flesh and will eat a human if they so desire, this is usually due to the human putting up too much of a struggle and the Vampramorpha get's annoyed at their tenacity. A Vampramorpha has a sensitive digestive tract and there fore can only drink certain types of blood, any type of blood that is riddled with disease, infection or poison will make them ill (think food poisoning). So to avoid this they will smell the victim 1st to see if their blood stinks if it does happen to smell bad then the Vampramorpha will leave their prey be. However if it smells good then they'll go right to work on sucking their blood or eating them. They also can not drink Dryad or Insectoid blood for this also makes them sick. Also a unique trait about them is that those bitten do not become infected with vampirism but just suffer from an itchy bite mark.
As stated above, Vampramorpha hold true to their bunny roots by being prolific breeders. A female can have a litter of 5-7 offspring, and the number simply multiply as she and her partner frequently mate. This has become a noteable problem for Felarya ever since they managed to breach through from Hell. Though the lot of them were eaten by predators, there was still the fact that when ever you ate one, 4 more would pop up to take their place. Eventually a mass extermination had to be put into play for Felarya was facing an immenent infestation of Vampramorpha, Vampire slayers from around Felarya were called and the 'Mass Hunt' began no Vampire Bunnies were spared... 1/2 of the population of the rabbits were killed off while others, fearing for the lives of themselves and their children, fled back to hell from wence they came. Only a few who went into hiding remained and even then they were found and killed.
Vampamorpha still crossover to Felarya to this day but in sparse numbers, and are a bit more secretive about their whereabouts, though the mass extermination is something that everyone did not want to resort to, it is believed that it can and will happen again if Vampramorpha's don't watch their numbers... | |

| Dreamijitsu
Size: 5-7ft Threat: Low Locations: Can rarely be sighted in Misty Glade
Database: A sheep like creature that is said to be seen only in the 'Land of Dreams'. Dreamijitsu are a rare sight in Felarya but are frequent enough to be labeled as a native species, this was partly due to the fact for, when they were 1st discovered it wasn't readily believed that they could exsist anywhere else, but now that it's been discovered that they are capable of crossing over to the 'Land of Dreams' it's being debated whether they should remain a native species to Felarya or to the Land of Dreams. Most say that Dreamijitsu are from Felarya and are capable of going there due to a special ability they house, but others argue that they are from the Land of Dreams and that the scenrio is vice versa. But it shall remain unknown until further research is conducted on them. Dreamijitsu are rather timid and will run at a hairs trigger, though they are said to be kind hearted by nature and rather gentle as well. Females are alot more accomplished in crossing over to Felarya than males are, and as such male Dreamijitsu are an even rarer sight than the females.
Dreamijitsu have sheep like features having short ears, poofy hair, fleece around their torso, arms and legs. Their fingers are like human fingers only the their coated in the same material hooves are made out of, their toes are constructed in a similar fashion. Males have larger curved horns while females have smaller less noticable ones, the horns themselves are used differently depending on the gender males use them for brawling while females use them to 'See' the dreams of others. The wool is usually snow white and will shed in summer. it is believed that the wool has special qualities that promotes good sleep and even better dreams. Dreamijitsu are herbivorous creatures and feed on plants mostly, ranging from flowers to fruits and vegetables, It is said by the few predators who manage to encounter and eat a Dreamijitsu, that they taste extremely good and as such finding one is well worth the effort.
As said above, Dreamijitsu are capable of passing over to another world, this world is said to house the dreams you experience whenever you fall asleep. Being the Land of Dreams is so vast, a Dreamijitsu may occasionally stumble into your dream and it is only then that you may converse with them without them running away from you. They posses a soothing voice that when amplified can make one either drowsy or fall asleep, this technique is used quite alot against predators who threaten to eat a Dreamijitsu. In the past, before they were discoverd, many who have seen them told of their conversation with the 'Dream Sheep', telling them of all the things they did with the Dream Sheep and all they learned from them. But, those who didn't know of them (or didn't experience the event for themselves), began thinking that the people who did were mentally unstable, and thus those who experienced the 'Dream Sheep Syndrome' were taken into custody and locked away where they were tested on to see what the cause of it was.
As the testing went on, researchers began to notice a pattern in the times that the 'Dream Sheep' appearances to the people who exprienced their 'visits'. During some occasions the Dream sheep would appear nightly but on rare occasions they would be abscent from the dream. Many believed this to be a mere coincidence but some speculated that this pattern could mean something, and sure enough when one of the patients awoke and was asked what he said to the Dream Sheep (a routine test) he answered that he had asked where she went the other night (being she was gone from his dreams that night) and she replied that she had went to the Misty Glade. Upon hearing this the researcher took this information to his colleagues and a new theory arose, 'Maybe the Dream Sheep aren't just warped mental images, maybe they are actual beings capable of crossing over'. Eager to actually meet one they began setting up posts at the Misty Glade on a nightly basis to catch a glimpse of the allusive cretature and hopefully get alot of answers from it, but it proved to be a fools errand for every night they would come up empty handed. It took 5 long years before a Dreamijitsu finally appeared before the researchers. After which it was confirmed that so called 'Dream Sheep' are indeed a living entity, after which the patients who were held up in psyche wards were released under a huge pardon.
Much about the Dreamijitsu are still unknown, one of hottest questions revolve around as to why they choose to only appear only in the 'Misty Glade' area, and how they are able to cross over between the dream world and Felarya. | |

anywho new one.
Name: Mommnet Size: 5-6ft Threat: Moderate
Picture of a Male Mommnet
Database: Mommnet are a breed of Homunculi who are known for their rebellious nature but seemingly subpar IQ. However their physical ability is 2nd to none, it has been said that males pack enough punch to bring down a tree in a single punch! females pack the about the same amount of power but it usually pales in comparison to the male Mommnet. Mommnets are, in reality, Scarecrows and therefore have stiches all over their body. These stitches are like a tigers stripes, point being, no 2 Mommnet have the same stitching pattern. They lack complex organ systems and are primarily sustained by a single 'core' and their 'blood' is a strange toxic ooze that courses through out their body, if they are drained off all their blood they will die. Mommnets are not required to eat, but will become ravenous when they are near death. Apparently eating restores their body's supply of 'blood' something that runs low when they are near death. Mommnets are capable of regenerating but can only do so by reattacting the lost limb back to it's original socket during which the stitches will instinctively bind the limb back to the body. Being the majority are born in capativity they are usually given clothes.
Males are usually the type who are roaming about, while females do better if they're in a group (though this isn't always the case, for females have been known to be out on their own as well). A male will only be present in said group if he is either courting a female in the group or if he's leading it. Contrary to popular belief female Mommnets CAN bear offspring...but it's just extremely difficult for them to do so, being they have a makeshift 'uterus' which is rather pitiful and can't sustain life very well. They're fertility is also horrid and the chance of a female getting pregnant is 5-10% and rarely exceeding to 17.3% which in that case the female is counted as 'Highly Fertile'. Though they are capable of crossbreeding with other races, though heridity is limited and the children will only inherit traits from the Mommnet parent. Wild Mommnets are usually very good at gardening and can be seen tending to juvinile Dryads or other plants, some have even been known to grow large gardens which are surprisingly organised, anyone who gets to close will face the wrath of a overprotective gardener. Mommnets are rarely eaten being they house a toxic chemical in their body, if a predator does eat a mommnet then chances are they'll be poisoned. Eating 2 or more Mommnets CAN have deadly results to a predator. Mommnets absolutely hate harpies.
It is believed that Mommnets were 'born' from a farmer who was desperate to rid his crops of crows, so he resorted to the help of an alchemist to create a 'living doll' so that it could freely move about and chase away crows more efficently, it is said the Alchemist created a Male and a Female 'Scarecrow' and named them Ballos and Jenko. Ballos was strong and resilient, While Jenko was nuturing and kind, after which the farmer had an easy life from then on, Ballos used his great strength to work the feilds alongside the farmer, while Jenko stayed inside and tended to the housework and other tasks. Time passed and the farmer's crops flourished, he was gaining alot profit, and was looking forward to retiring. Unfortunetly he met his end when he was devoured by a PMSing Naga. After seeing their master die in front of them, Ballos and Jenko had nothing else to do being they were dependent on ther master to give them orders, seeing as they couldn't do anything else they proceeded to roam about and Jenko would eventually give birth to the 1st Mommnet who would then father the next and so on and so forth. It is said they are still roaming Felarya to this day... | |

| BOOM! Headshot! I win!
Plagusite
Size: 1-2ft Threat: Special (Actually encountering one is the last thing you'll ever see) Locations: The stomachs of a large predator, preferablly Mermaids, found in 1 out of 4. Nesting areas are scattered about and hard to pinpoint.
Database: A roundworm-like creature found in various places of Felarya mostly in streams, or beneath the dirt, sleeping until their host arrives. Plagusites are parasitic creatures that make their home in the digestive tract of some of the larger beasties of Felarya, and are well known for infecting a host and keeping their prescence on such a subtle level, that the host will never know they're infected until the Plagusite decides it's time to 'move house'. Smaller animals are safe from them, being Plagusite do not seek out victims no smaller then 15ft, this being said Humans have taken in Plagusites and are currently studying them to see just how Plagusites are able to survive in the harsh enviroment that is known as the stomach.
Plagusites have an appearance very much similar to nagas, though their entire body is a pale tan. They are born with 4 arms the 1st set are used for basic grabbing and the like, while the 2nd is only used as a extra set of limbs to climb faster. The 2nd set of arms can be retracted into the body after use. They are capable of regenerating lost limbs and such, cutting one in half will give rise to two seperate Plagusites. Besides they're ability to withstand gastric juices and digestion, they are rather simple critters and have no other outwardly interesting features.
Plagusites are internal parasites but ARE capable of living outside a host, albeit not for very long (the longest being at least 1-2 years). As of such once they are inside a host they DO NOT leave unless they truly have too, usually if the host is dieing or malnourished. Plagusites can be found in 'colonies' within streams or underground, usually coiled up in a hibernative state, which is used to slow down their bodies processes until a suitable host is in the area. Once a host comes by the Plagusites awaken and lure the host in by posing as a potential meal, If the predator is gullible enough to fall for this feint then they will eat the Plagusites and continue on. However while the host is happy and content with their 'meal' the Plagusites begin work on their new home, taking the time to adjust to the hosts system and seeing how it functions.
Some Plagusite will take up residence in the stomach while others feel more at home in the intestines it depends on the worm's taste in location and how much they desire food, being Stomach residents get more food 1st. while Intestinal residents get less and get their share last. As a result of this Stomach residents grow large faster, while Intestinal residents are smaller and grow slower. When the host eats, the prey is naturally sent down into the stomach to wait his or her doom by digestion, however the prey is met by the Plagusites who then rip them apart in a voracious feeding frenzy. After the Stomach-going Plagusites have eaten their fill, the corpse of the prey is then naturally passed on to the small intestine, it is then the intestinal residents get their share of the meal, after which with leftovers (if any) are left to the host. Plagusites reproduce seasonally and breed whilst the host is asleep at night. The only known side effect of this is the host feeling a slight discomfort in their abdomen. Eggs are laid immediatly after mating, after which they are passed out of the hosts body (though 1 or 2 may stay behind).
The host is not always negatively affected by a Plagusite Infection, more or less, a host will notice is that they've lost a little weight and grow hungry sooner. Other than this there seems to be no other side effects, this is possibly due to the worms effort to keep things as balanced as possible so the host will not become suspiscious of what's going on in their gut. There are also (rare) cases where Plagusites IMPROVE a hosts body making them faster, stronger ect. However if the Plagusite don't watch their numbers then things get thrown off balance and the host is subjected with an increased appetite in order to feed the growing set of worms, if more worms are spawned then the demand for food increases as overcrowding sets in. If more are spawned then the host is starved to death as their body can no longer gain any nutrients from the food they eat, being ALL food is consumed by the large community of Plagusites. The usual instinct of the Plagusites when things get this crowded is to have some of the residents 'abandon ship', and it is at that moment when the Plagusite leave the body is when the host realizes they're infected.
Plagusite were not discovered until just recently, being they are rarely seen outside a predators stomach. After a group of bypassing fishermen found a beached Mermaid he decided to investigate, upon examining the creature it was apparent that she already died, and was possibly suffering from some form of illness. Which was strange in itself, being in Felarya there are few cases of such things. As he was about to leave he noticed something odd about the Mermaid's naval so he took a close look. And to his surprise a worm-like girl came wriggling out and slithered off into the pond, not a moment later more of the worm girls escaped from the Mermaids body. The fishermen managed to catch one of them and took it back with him to a biologist who concluded that the worm girl was a type of parasite.
There are currently 2 remedies avaliable to those who are infected with Plagusites, the 1st is to eat the very nutritious but extremely awful tasting 'Carbbage'. Carbbage house a unique type of chemical that a Plagusite is weak against, if they are exposed to it then they are either killed or will flee the hosts body to escape it. An upside to this treatment is that the chemical stays in the hosts body for a while (3-6 weeks) thus protecting them from any future infections. The 2nd is for the host simply use their head and think before devouring an such an easy meal, especially one that comes out of nowhere...
There is a common urban myth that there are more Plagusite then there are people on Earth
Also there's a referance in this database, are you a bad enough dude to find it? | |

Just a remark but you descriptions are maybe a bit long in general ^^; Yep, I was actually watching a documentary on the roundworm when I thought this up. And yeah I might have to cut down on the WoT (Wall of Text), I think the main reason as to why I do it is so I can minimize confusion of the matter, but perhaps I can do that with less words from now on - Quote :

| Distormangandor
Size: Varies Threat: High (Simply because there's no telling what it will do once it see's you) Locations: Deeper Felarya only (but there are extremely rare sightings of them elsewhere in Felarya, usually occurs on a night of a new moon)
Database: A serpent like creature that is said to have been created from chaos and madness, These critters are the epitome of WTF. A Distormangandor is usually about 20ft in length, has a long slender serpent like body with 3 sets of tentecles on each side, and has dark purple skin. However there physical features are not static, for there have been some that are 80ft long and have skin color that changes to all colors of the rainbow. They are also known for their blood red teeth, wide gapping mouths and a rather insane smile that seems to be pasted on their face. Distormangandors are rather unique being that whatever they consume literally becomes apart of them. As a result, a Distormangandor can look like a serpent one day then a grossly mutated monster the next. This works by the use of they recombiant DNA, once the Distormangandor finshes it's meal, the victim is digested as nature would ensue, however the victims DNA is absorbed into the Distormangandor's body and thus fusing with it's own genetic material. Eventually after eating the victim, a part of the victim's body sprouts from the Distormangandor's body whether it be a simple tail, leg or even the victim's head. Distormangandors are highly unpredictable and impulsive so they are categorized to having a 'High' threat level simply because you never know if a Distormangandor will either leave you be or kill you on the spot. Mating is hard to explain for this creature simply because it has never been witnessed, some researchers state that they mate with both Nagas and their own kind, while others say they are not restricted by species as far as mating goes. But what really seems to be under hot debate is whether the offspring sired will inherit the consumed DNA of it's parents' victims or not. Their one weakness is Alcohol (not the beverage) this chemical substance disrupts their genetic material and breaks it down usually resulting in fatal wounds or the creature being incapacitated for several days.
In order to find a Distormangandor, One must head to Deeper Felarya and wait until midnight or later, then you must listen carefully for it's cry (which is disturbingly similar to laughter) in the jungle. odds are a Distormangandor is about to make itself known if you hear this. Distormangandor's are capable of swimming but same state they are also capable of flying being eye witnesses have reported seeing a snake like creature with 6 tentacles soaring the skies late at night. Distormangandor are can also be seen as 'The Final Boss' due to their grotesque appearance and rather tenacious resiliance in combat. | |

| Thanks, their design was bit difficult to get down on paper but it was worth it seeing as to how you like it. Anywho I have more.
Unaga (Females are known as Ushikonaga, Males are known as: Ushishonaga)
Size: 10-60ft Threat: Low-Moderate Locations: Chidokai Forest
Database: A mysteriously mutated chimera said to have been born from the union of a Minotaur and a Naga (debateable), Known for their roller coaster ride of emotions. Unaga appear to be similar to Naga having a human torso and a serptine like bottom half. However, what sets these creatures apart from their (possible) relatives, is that their entire body is covered in a pattern similar to that of an everyday Dairy cow, and at the end of their tail is a small tuft of hair. They have horns which are as strong as granite (some say it's stronger) and their length depends on the gender of the species, female horns are short and rather dull while the males have longer, sharper horns which are used as weapons to compat rivals when mating season rolls around.
Unaga are omnivorous creatures and have more interest in hunting fruit than they do live prey, however this isn't saying they won't do so, for there have been records of human campsites being attacked and devoured by an Unaga. These animals also make great livestock if they are tamed, and have proven to be quite the catch on the market is some villages. Ushishonaga are used primarly for manual larbor (such as pulling plows and carts) while females are primarly used for milk and breeding. The meat of an Unaga is known to be very delicious and has a high amount of protein, but is also very difficult to prepare and cook properly, It is so difficult, in fact, that there is a entirely different feild of chefs who work to perfect the way one can cook 'Unaga Beef'. There are said to be competitions held to see who can cook Unaga Beef the best, so far there has only been one chef who was victorious in this competition, which was held some 12 years ago.
Taming Unaga are quite difficult and dangerous (more so with males), simply because they can be very moody and hard to predict, so it's best to simply try and steal an infant Unaga and train it as it grows up. The horns of an Unaga can be crafted into a variety of battle weapons, ranging from swords, spears, axes, sheilds and even guns. Some species of Unaga are poisonous.

Canitheon
Size: 8-10ft Threat: Low-High Locations: Great marshes, Jewel river, Topaziall Sea
Database: A chimera born from the union of a Dog-girl and a Celocantheon. Canitheon are covered in a special type of fur that is similar to that of Beavers and Muskrats, however their feet and hands are webbed and there are fins on located on several parts of their body (back, arms and legs). Their dog like features consist of a pair of canine ears and tail. Canitheons are amphibious and spend an equal amount of time in the water as they do on land, although they are frequently sighted in the water. Canitheons are rather peaceful creatures and generally do not bother others IF however they themselves are left alone. If provoked or threatened they WILL attack you and it's known that they won't stop until their aggressor is dead. The bite of a Canitheon is quite powerful having enough PSI to split wood and crush boulders. Canitheons can be trained to obey human orders but this can only be done to an infant Canitheon being adults are virtually impossible to tame (this is due to their strong intolerance of being provoked).
Although Canitheons are social creatures there are some who prefer to travel alone but there are some who travel in 'packs' with a dominant pair as the head honchos of the group. Canitheon packs are highly organized and (depending on the size of the group) there a several 'tiers' on which each member stands the lowest having the least amount of privilages while the highest having more. Females of the lowest tier usually do not breed or have children unless she works her way to the top of the group, the same can be said about males who generally have to fight the dominant male for breeding rights. Canitheon packs are quite effective when utilized in hunting or combat, the dominant male or female issues out the order(s) while the others carry out the actions in a focused and precise manner. Some packs have even been successful in taking down Nagas and Mermaids.
A domesticated Canitheon is quite loyal to it's master and will follow him/her where ever they go, most are used for guiding and protecting ferrys when journeying across the waterways of Felarya. On land Canitheons have a powerful since of smell and can track a scent for miles on end, this trait is often used by humans to find hidden goods or people who have disappeared or are in hiding. Underwater this sense is changed slightly allowing them to sense the vital signs of a living being, their brain keeps a short memory of what the vital signs for it's recent encounters are so if the Canitheon is searching for someone they can rely use one of the recent signs in their memory banks and track it.
-----------
And that's it for today. I'm sure the lot of you are going 'Geeze...He never stops with these things!' And it's the truth...I don't...And I probably never will. Also I've noticed that there are now sections where ideas for different types of Naga and Mermaids go. Since these 2 (technically) fall in that category lemme know if I have to move them and I will. | |
