Out of the Blue (Open for everyone who is interested)

Kim nodded, relieved again. She was more than a bit off-put by how the fairy talked about eating people so… casually, though. And… telling her that most everyone ate people? What?! What kind of crazy place was she in-?!

The giantess leaned back a bit as Buoyancy leaned in close, and… said it was fun to be in people’s mouths. It did not help at all that she was starving, and every time she glanced at one of the tiny people around them she was starting to salivate. She needed to eat something. Preferably not a person.

“E-er… can we just go to town and get me something to eat? I’m starving…”

"HEY!" Shelley shouted all of a Sudden pointing at Kim: "Megababe begins to drool! Time to get moving - preferably to the next Burger Stand!"
"This is the first reasonable Speech I hear this Day." Ivy agreed and marches to the Town: "Pull Your Butts out of the Sand, Guys!"

((Sorry, IRL got in the way))

*Watching the conversation, i keep silent. They seem to pose no threat, but the fairy does and i keep my distance in case she gets hungry*

So you wont eat humans? *I ask the group* Interesting!

Kim reluctantly glanced at Tyler, and swallowed hard. “Uh, w-well… I-I’d rather not…” She said, her stomach growling again. What is wrong with you? You can’t… you wouldn’t… but I’m starving… but there’s a town! But… do they have enough food…? She bit her lip, trying to subtly scoot closer to him. “But, u-um… how far away are we from town…?”

"You blind or somfin´?" Shelley points to the narrow `Skyline´ not too far away: "You should think, You could view best from over there..."
Then The Snow Fairy blinks, looking to Tyler: "You Guy - what´s Your Name anyway - and where´s Your Gun?"

The giantess paused, forcing herself to back away from Tyler and look behind her. Then she saw the small ‘skyline’. It was hardly worthy of the title, but… it was civilization! And maybe they had a giant cheeseburger or something! Kim hurriedly got to her feet, miraculously not hitting any of the others present, before hurrying towards the town. “F-food!” She said, grinning almost crazily as she sprinted toward the unfortunate village. She didn’t even pause for a second to think that she probably looked like a hostile, hunger-crazed predator. Charging towards a fairy-protected town.

This was going to be interesting.

I reply to Shelly "Im Tyler. And who and what are you?" *I give a WTF look at the giantess running like crazy towards a town, but ignore her*

Shelley looked at `Megababe´ doing the Job of `Megaquake´. Then she landed by Tyler, curiously wandering around this Man in her creaking black Leather Outfit and said: "I am Shelley Winterhawk - just happen to pass by with my Pal there..."
She pointed to the Angel fully covered in Jeans Wardrobe, holding a somewhat huge Sword of light blueish Silver, stunned by the sudden Rampage of the giant Schoolgirl: "This´s Ivy. She´s cute. Sometimes she is quit´a bit slow on the Uptake, but You can rely on her."
Still curious her Ears moved up: "Now say - where´s Your Gun? I´m in Guns too..."
"Yes - she knows, where the bad Side is." Ivy mentioned landing nearby and Shelley´s Ears went down: "I´m used to Silhouette Shooting - with Contenders and such!"
"Really? I didn´t know..." Ivy apologized and Shelley smiled: "I didn´t know some interesting Details about You, too... And when we have some Time for Fun, I will givya a proper Sightseeing Tour on the Road to the Wonderland of Shelleybelly, okay? Theheee..."
"We should follow this crazy Girl, before she accidently wrecks the Village..." Ivy skillfully changed the Subject.
"You have Your Smartphone withya? Take some Pictures - I wanna see it, too!" the Snow Fairy suggested, following the Forge Angel.

It was a quiet day in the village of Kortiki. People of all kinds of prey species, fairy folk, and even the rare shrunken-to-human-sized Felaryan predator, were running, jumping, flying, and climbing between the trees making up the infrastructure of the town. Rope, bridges, and rope bridges, connected each tree on so many level to each other that light had a hard time reaching the ground. This gave the town a permanent shaded atmosphere, with lights hanging from each house, and even many of the inhabitants.



Everyone was going through their daily motions, like working, playing, partying, and training, when suddenly the ground quaked with the all-too familiar sound of a hungry rampaging giant. Many people perked, and one rough and white bearded human male stood up, held his hands in front of his mouth, and shouted.

"Tackle-glomp squad! Attack!"

At least a dozen fairies, each happy to just happen to be close enough to volunteer, flew up and went to greet the giantess, several growing to at least half of the approaching girl's size. "Don't shrink the poor thing unless you have to!" shouted the man rapidly left behind.

The girl would soon hear excited shouts homing in on her from all directions, as all fairies she passed during her trek through the trees joined in on the hunt

"Hug!" "Glomp!" "Tickle?" "I'll get her legs!" "I'll get her legs too!" "And I do too!" "I'll get her ear!" "I'll get her some food!"

Kim hadn’t really noticed all the chittering voices, as she continued to close in on the town. Well, until a child-sized (to her) fairy slammed into her stomach, causing the giantess to almost fall over, skidding to a halt and trying to regain her balance. Then another huge fairy hit, and another, and another, and…

Well, eventually the huge schoolgirl was knocked off of her feet, and at the bottom of a huge pile of giggling fairies.She groaned, almost in tandem with her stomach growling again. She began to wonder if there was someone/something edible in the pile...

The one who got her ear, started talking to her, as that is what getting someone's ear means. "Welcome to Kortiki town," reverberated his voice in her ear. "You sure seem hungry, but all the prey here is all spoken for. But don't worry, as we got you something good instead."

He looked around at the other fairies. "Right, people?"

"Yes I do," shouted someone in the back. From out of the village, Kim saw an orange haired fairy fly over with something moving in her hands. "Here you go. One eel coming up." The girl enlarged the trashing fish she was carrying, and a few others helped her hold it still, until Kim got a face full of eel. "Open wide!"

"YESS, MAN! TOUCHDOWN! YOU ROCK, GUYZ!" Shelley shouted like she did a long Time ago in Wembley Stadion, cheering the Bunch of massive Fairies: "Theh - these are Fairies, which will have to get a Flying License and a proper Landing Strip, I swear."
Ivy still stood near Tyler and couldn' t believe huge Fairies playing Rugby with an oversized Schoolgirl: "This is just too weird!"

Kim blinked at the voice in her ear, and she was about to protest that eating people was the last thing that would come to mind when the fairies around her face parted. She stared at another fairy flying up, but this one was holding an eel… that was getting larger. And larger. And larger. In fact, it got to the point where several other fairies had to help her. The giantess opened her mouth to finally speak… and yelped as it was immediately stuffed full of eel. It wriggled around in her maw for a bit, before she finally got her senses in order and swallowed.

Well, it took a couple of tries, but after a couple of moments Kim finally managed to get the large, struggling eel down her throat, making a face as she felt it wriggle all the way down into her stomach… and then she realized it wasn’t an unpleasant feeling at all. She paled slightly, realizing she actually… enjoyed devouring a living thing. It was an unnerving thought, to say the least.

Luckily, she was distracted by her current predicament - being covered in fairies. She offered them a sheepish/nervous smile. “T-thanks… I think I’m good now…” She offered, meekly. She was starting to feel pretty embarrassed about her rampage, now.

"There, there. It's okay." Several of the fairies who just fed her, patted her on the shoulder and cheeks. "You were just hungry, but you are calm now, right? We don't mind helping someone in need, but we couldn't not tackle you, seeing as how plenty of people want to eat our friends, and we don't want that."

Several of the fairies amended that. Everyone is free to visit Kortiki as long as they follow this one basic rule: Kortikins are not for eating.

"If you like, you can walk closer to the village but don't break anything, okay? Just don't step on anything that looks like it's cultivated. For the rest, the whole forest floor is free for you to step on, so you can move under the whole village."

As the fairy made her explanation, a small patch of dirt behind the pile of fairies dicreetly turned into mud, and then rose up into the air, keeping out of sight of Shelly, Ivory, and everyone else on their side of the pile, and being careful not to get noticed by any of the fairy dogpile.

As one of the fairies moved to stand up off Kim, the floating ball of mud made contact with her hand leaving a nice, noticeable mark on her palm and fingers. Then, before she could react, it flung itself at high speed toward the face of the fairy speaking to Kim.

Kim nodded, blushing even more in her growing embarrassment at the whole fiasco she had caused. At least the fairies didn’t seem so bothered, and simply explained that she’d appeared as a threat so… she’d been tackled. It was a simple conclusion. Kim just nodded more, in sheepish agreement. “Y-yeah, I’m good, now. I won’t… eat anybody…” She mumbled, glancing around at the gathered fairies.

Then they explained where she could walk - which was just about anywhere, basically, and then began to get off… except one of them pelted another with a blob of mud. The giant schoolgirl just blinked. “...Is now really the time?” She managed under her breath, and braced for some kind of massive mud fight. On top of her.

As if her school uniform wasn’t already ruined…

"This looks familiar..." Ivy said, looking around: "This Fango-Weirdo is on the Roll again, I'm sure!"
'Man - just as I wanted to ask Ivy, if she would like to be My Eel... this sucks!' Shelley thought with disappointed hanging Ears.

*I approach the giantess Kim, unarmed* Well i'm glad you calmed down! Wouldn't want a beautiful girl like yourself eating everyone! I'm glad you don't seem to eat people!

"Oh? It. Is. On!" The assaulted fairy flew to the ground, searching for some good mud...which she did not find, until a few of fairies started to gather balls of water to turn the soil into mud. If no one interfered, then soon balls of mud would fly through the air.

Would the newcomers attempt diplomacy, or only add fuel to the fire? The Kortikin people always try to turn any contact with a predator into a party, trying to make friends. They know that they are only a minority in a lawless jungle, and can not afford to make enemies. Fortunately, this way of life is also a lot funnier, and the fairies took to it like fish to water.

"Woo - this looks like Fun!" Shelley smiled but Ivy mentioned with some Concern: "It probably would be Fun - if You were as big as an Interstate Greyhound Bus - just like them. But in this Case we have to invade this as effectively as possible - or we kick the Can by Accident!"
Ivy grabbed one Arm of the surprised Tyler: "Grab his other Arm - we have to leave now, before these what-ever-they-are go completely haywire!"
"Gotcha!" Shelley grabbed the other Arm - and they headed off straight into the Air with Tyler in their Grip. Ivy apologized: "Sorry, Mr. Tyler - but as You can see, standing between rampaging Giants surely is nothing You can possibly wish for!"

Ivy was quite correct to be concerned, as accidental crushing is one of the biggest concerns in Kortiki, and the reason why they didn't just enlarge a ball of mud to cover the whole area. However, as just about all fairies experienced a near-death in their live, no fairy took any chances and only threw at large targets.

Buoyancy and her tiny brother kept their distance as well, as Fino would probably not be noticed before it was too late.

Kim glanced down from the brewing fight when that shotgun-wielding human approached her, minus the shotgun. She blushed a bit at his comment, smiling sheepishly… until he brought up the people-eating thing again! God! Just because everyone was small enough to shove into her mouth didn’t mean she would. At least… not in her right mind! When she wasn’t starving...

The giantess made a face, but nodded as she tried to sit up with all the fairies still on and around her. “Yeah, I’m glad I don’t eat people, too…” She muttered, suddenly wondering if she should have told him that. Threatening to eat him could’ve come in handy later…

Though eating him for real was looking a lot more like a terrifyingly realistic option.

Kim shook her head quickly to get the thoughts out, and turned back to the fairies, who were getting ready for a full-on mud war. She paled slightly, and tried scooting away. “Uh… guys…?” She asked, hoping her size-induced volume would let her be heard over all the semi-angry chittering and chattering. It failed, as the fairies began to throw mud-balls at each other. The giantess yelped, scrambling to her feet as she tried to get away - and very nearly stepping on Ivy, Shelley, and Tyler in the process. “No! Not me!” She cried, stumbling away from the fight.

I’d like to have some clothing that isn’t ruined…

"Man, this is absolutely ridiculous. People here seem to think only about 2 Seconds forward!" Ivy grumbled, while carrying Tyler at his Arms away with Shelley, who was surprisingly used to work out as a `Tandem-Pilot´, it seemed. Good - for once at least one Plan seemed to work out as presumed.
"Theeheee... I wonder that they haven´t groundleveled their own Town yet. If this is a `normal´ Day around here, even for me that´s too heavy!"
"So it seems, we have something in Common." Ivy smiled ironically.

The fairies' fight soon started to die down when they see the very girl they were trying to appease, did not seem to like mud throwing at all.

"Order, fairies. I beseech thee, order." One of the fairies, a tan person with glossy black hair and dressed in shimmering scarves, called for her sisters and brother's attention. "We seem to unsettle our guests. Let us welcome them more properly, as such instilling the spirit of harmony into their hearts."

Buoyancy tried to block her now retreating surely-soon-to-be-friends' way. "They're only trying to make you feel at home. Honest." (^-^)

Ivy looked at Buoyancy, like she was out of her Mind. Then she found the most fitting Way to say, what her main Impression was: "Well... at Home we call this a natural Disaster. But only because at Home no one is as big as a Home."
"She worries about everything regarding Security and Stuff!" Shelley translated Ivy´s Answer: "You must know - at Home there are many very bad and dangerous People - and Ivy is a Guardian. So You may say she is born to protect and to save People."
"And You expect big People to have big Brains. Therefore they should at least try to act in a Way that may illude someone to think they are perhaps something close to being intelligent..." Ivy mumbled while landing with Tyler and Shelley carefully on the Ground. Shelley understood Ivy, but rolled her Eyes and said apologizing to Buoyancy: "Remember: Not everyone has Your Abilities. In Fact many Beings are really fragile and can seriously be wounded, even killed by Accident. If You act like You did just before, a Human like Tyler here is done for in no Time."
She saw to the Man: "Just look at him. This is Tyler. No Magics, no Wings - but a nice Guy. And if You flatten him just by some weird Coincidence - You will never again have the Chance to learn about him."
Ivy was baffled. Looked at the Snow Fairy with unbelieving and wide open Eyes. Did Shelley just show an unknown Amount of cunning Diplomacy? Strange Things happen at strange Places on strange Days...
