| Crimson Maidens weild fire as their weapon, wouldn't be a stretch for them to wield that stuff too. That's like telling a lava elemental that lava is too hot for them to touch Also Crimson Maidens are part Lava Elementla if I remember correctly | |

Is lava a mix of earth and fire elemental? *makes note to self* "Develop more tactics used by predators."

| No, Bael. They fill the niche for half-fire elementals, but they aren't half-elementals themselves. Crimson maidens play with fire (professionally), but not that kind of play. | |

How fairies are able to mate with elementals is a complete mystery, leading researchers to believe that fairies reproduce in a manner far different from other humanoids.
This implies Crimson Maidens are part fire/lava elemental. It would also explain why fire doesn't harm them too much, and why they are so good using it.

Water Sprites Water sprites are a sort of mix between fairies and water elementals. [...] If their body becomes too damaged, a water sprite can leave it and make another body from some nearby water; [...] Unlike water elementals, it takes years for a water sprite to develop a body from water. To avoid any outside interference, the deceased sprite's spirit will usually go to the rebirth chambers of the nearest tribe, where it's protected new body can be formed faster. This ability to create a new body makes other fairies consider water sprites to be more elemental than fairy. This is why water sprites generally prefer the company of water elementals with whom they usually get along with very well.
Storm Sprites Another mix between fairies and elementals, storm sprites are one of the most dangerous species of fairy on Felarya. Not only are they extremely fast, but they can also turn themselves into pure magical energy (along with whatever they wear and anything (or anyone) they have inside them), allowing them to enter electrical circuits as a mean of transportation, or simply to destroy them.
Dusk Nymphs A crossbreed between darkness elementals and fairies. [...] Dusk nymphs are deadly creatures indeed; fortunately they are very rare, as darkness elementals are rare themselves. One of their most scary traits is their ability to turn themselves into a shadow.
Frost Sprites Frost sprites are another fairy / elemental hybrid species and are born when a fairy mates with an ice elemental. [...] Some of the more powerful frost sprites are said to be able to turn their entire bodies into ice and merge with the ice and snow around them, travelling through it and reforming a short distance away. - Archmage_Bael wrote:

When a fairy species is an elemental hybrid, there's nothing implied about it: they put that in the first sentence. More importantly, all elemental hybrids seem to be able to turn into their element, which should clue you that since crimson maidens don't have the superpower to turn into a flame, Alsherala ain't into volcanic retreats. Not saying Randomdude couldn't blow all our minds later and reveal that he planned to have the Reds be actually descended from a lineage that intermingled with fire elementals, but I really, really doubt he's ever gonna continue writing about Felarya.

| Well, we all know by now that the wiki is not 'word of god', so if you want to complete the elemental set, then if no other fire fairies exist, these could fit the bill. However, you should have seen the commotion when I suggested that the traditional Kortikin style is based on firebreathing. Apparently, Felarya is not ready for fire fairies. (⌒▽⌒) | |
