APPEARANCE

Sorcha is a giant naga with close-cropped dark brown hair and fair skin. Her particularly-thick tail has a dark green top and a pale yellowish underbelly, exhibiting countershading. On the top is a pattern of darker green and brown spots which serve as a disruptive pattern. How effective these camouflage methods are is debatable, as her size makes staying hidden quite difficult. Also of note is her mechanical left hand.

EARLY LIFE

She was born in the vicinity of the Giant Tree, as many arboreal nagas are. From an early age, she exhibited signs of minor psionic abilities- she could push (relatively) small objects through telekinesis, but her abilities were far weaker than she was physically. She spent a good portion of her early life slithering around the jungle, seemingly making it her mission to find out the taste of everything in the jungle. Sometimes, though, she would just hide and listen. She was intrigued by what the various researchers and surveyors she heard would say, even though she couldn’t understand the vast majority of it. She would only do this when she wasn’t hungry, of course- as a giant predator, the hunger of her stomach for food quite understandably overruled the hunger of her mind for knowledge.

At this point in her life, she hadn’t really learned any sort of caution worth speaking of. She grew up quite sure of her place on the food chain, and the way the humans she’d listened in on spoke of her kind did little to keep her ego in check. Eventually, she came to regard herself as a nigh-invincible predator with absolute free reign over the small two-legged creatures that scurried about far below her. The belief that no harm could come to her, that she would suffer no consequences regardless of who or what she tried to eat, would cost her dearly later in life.

A NEW MODUS OPERANDI

Summary: Her adoption of a ‘deal-maker’ tactic. She still seeks knowledge, and will make deals with humans and other smaller creatures, becoming a mainly-opportunistic predator; she’d normally rather learn from humans than eat them, sticking to larger prey in most circumstances.
