| Just a idea I got earily doodling, how about a distant relietive of harpies but not part bird, part bat. I thought the idea was intresting they could be basicly the harpies of the Evernight forest. There name right now isn't very...creative lol but I'll come up with a better one sooner or later. right now I'll give a quick idea of what they would be like
They would be around 60-70ft tall, in the place of arms they would have batlike wings , there feet would be like a bats basicly the toes bending the other way allowing them t o hang upside down to sleep, also there night vision isn't all the great((they can still see though)) so like normal bats use a sort of sonic sonor to locate there prey, it's been known to mess up human gagets if they are to close. they usually live in large groups also feeding with said groups making running into them suicidle.

| That's another great idea ! Having a sonar-guided predator can really be interesting plus having the harpies dwell by hanging upside down is cute XD And for the design they can have this sonar thingy ( no idea how to say that in english ) right on their nose ^_^ | |

| That does soud interesting. I assume it's diet would consist of things a Felaryan Predator would eat (massive flies, humans, smaller predators, humans, etc). Or would it be like a fruit bat harpy? | |

I'm drawing a picture of one and about 14other pictures XD they'll hopefully be done too

| Sonar-guided flying preds...
Hey Karbs, didn't you say you wanted a flying predator with that Gyaos-style "tree-cropping" sonic blast? Sound like a good place to apply it?
It's been a LONG while since I've seen chimeric bat-people. I think it ought to be given a go.

I'm gonna go ahead and make sure we all know right now that bats actually have very good optical vision. That, and whales and dolphins also use sonar, and also have keen vision. You don't have to give up one sense in order to gain another.

Also I would imagine them emitting many little strange err... "sonic" sounds.. sorry I don't know how to express it in english but I hope you get the point XD I find this idea of bat harpies exciting ^_^ Mhh with that and shadow fairies we are beginning to populate evernight forest quite a bit

Well thats an intresting question I was thinking that maybe if there was a fruit bat speices maybe that could be the more humanfriendly one but the other one would as you said eat humans, large bugs etc.

Bat-harpy's sonar fortells doom to those it reaches...
