Giga Phasmid

Giga Phasmids are also known simply as "Tree Bugs", and are giant insects found in the forests and jungles of Felarya both, each respective variant well adapted to its specific biome. Their bodies' patterns are perfectly designed to blend in with their surrounding environment. This is partly because when they sleep against a tree Felarya's magic that courses through the plants and soil get siphoned partially into the strong exoskeletal natural armor it posseses.

The reason why they are called "tree bugs" is because their size is big enough to look like a small Felaryan tree, or part of a branch or trunk. They hide, perfectly still, and spend much of their day laying in wait. Finding one walking around is extremely uncommon. They stalk, and are also some of the most intelligent animals found in Felarya.

When they die, their body completely petrifies to the point where natural biologic decay doesn't occur, and its entire body turns into a strong material much like its exoskeleton. This makes adventurers unsure which ones are alive and which ones are dead. The creature is also highly carnivorous, and goes after smaller creatures under 15 ft height range, using its long tongue to snatch prey and swallow them whole.
