A little teaser of the story I've been working on in my absence, hope you enjoy!
His breaths came in shallow gasps and his heart pounded
slowly in his chest as his lifeblood flowed freely onto the
sun bleached sand. Towering over Dorian's dying form
was his slayer. With it's mandibles clicking excitedly and it's
claws soaked in the naga's blood, the tonorion glanced around
to make sure it's meal would not be interrupted.
Dorian fought for every breath, every heartbeat, as his body
brought back memories. Warm skin, smooth scales, a kind voice
with a playful giggle... this was one of his most cherished memories, "Crisis"...
The insectoid predator, annoyed that lunch could still talk,
raised a claw and impaled Dorian again. The naga coughed
up more blood as he felt his body go cold and his consciousness
fade away......
