Mmm, so I've been toying with the idea of tossing one of my already-established characters into Felarya as a writing exercise, just to see how he'd fare, and as an excuse to get back into writing. Thing is, he's a somewhat odd character, and I'm willing to take some suggestions on things he might see, characters he should meet, etc... I'm putting up a short profile for him for better-suited suggestions.
Name: Sar Kashida
Age: Somewhere around his mid-30s; looks in his early 20s because of exposure to magic
Race: Human (mage - shadowmancer)
Appearance: Asian in appearance, with blue eyes and black hair done up in hundreds of itty-bitty braids. Usually seen wearing bondage pants and skintight shirts (if he's wearing one at all). Has a combination of numbers and letters tattooed onto his left shoulder as his prisoner number.
Bio: In his own world, Sar was taught the heretic magic of shadowmancy at a relatively young age. Since he'd grown up in the slums of a large modern city, the magic more easily corrupted him - so that at the age of 20, he was put in prison on charges of murder, even though no solid connection could be made. Because there was no convincing evidence and no record of Sar being a mage, he was let out after just a couple of years on "good behavior."
Because there is no recognized curriculum for shadowmancy, much of Sar's abilities have been found through trial and error, and sometimes by complete surprise. His shadow is sentient, and has a will of its own - it will sometimes completely ignore its owner or do something entirely unexpected. This was how Sar found out he could 'eat' other people's shadows.
Personality: Constant exposure to shadow magic has caused severe fractures in Sar's sanity. Although he's capable of being approachable, he is starting to lose control of his own free will. As a result, he's usually rude, obnoxious, and sadistically cruel.
